    Great project, so cute. Tip for you: much less solder (about 1/4 of what you used is all you need, at most). Finally, you'd love an inverted cone bur for cleaning up solder meniscus. Another goldsmith shared that golden tip with me. Live that cute latch.

    Interesting way of making the hinges. I think I would have cut the silver rectangles with tabs that I would then fold around the hinge pin to make the hinge hole & then solder the bent over end. This would use more flat material, but save having to use a tube, but perhaps at this small scale it would not be a practical method whereas yours worked. Thank you for sharing!
