TAKING A MUCH NEEDED BREAK IN CROATIA (getting sick while traveling)

- Well, it finally happened...one of us got sick while traveling full-time! After visiting the amazing Proizd Island back near the island of Korcula, Daniel came down with a pretty nasty cold, so we diverted plans and came to this amazing apartment just outside of Split, Croatia to catch up on life and get back to 100% before moving on!

Kara and Nate (one of my favourite travel channels) call these breaks 'Workcation'. Taking a break from filming and editing and just catching up on all the things. You need them and deserve them! I'm loving your adventures ❤
It's good that you keep plans flexible so something like this doesn't completely derail everything.
I am native Croatian living in the states and I know there is much better beaches, easier access, gorgeous….I just love watching your adventure and experience in Croatia.
I highly recommend you visit Makarska Rivijera. It is a beautiful stretch of coast anchored with city of Makarska and surrounded with about 10 small towns, most of them connected with beautiful hiking trails along the beach. You can bike or walk from beach to beach, town to town and have a completely different experience at each location. It is super accessible and a great central location to go visit many other places. Trip up to mountain Biokovo is a must and taking a view from the Sky Bridge and even top of the mountain, St Jute. Hope you get the chance to see it
And that pullout bed definitely reminds us of the cosy sick bed you made for Chelle at home.

You two have been amazing and going full blast for a long time. Daniel, take the time you need to heal yourself. Traveling like you've been doing is not easy...it's not surprising that one of you would feel the toll of living out of a suitcase in a foreign country. Take it easy and feel better soon, Daniel!

So good to see you guys took a well deserved break. Traveling is awesome but filming, editing, planning next countries, be on time for planes, taxis, car rentals and much much more take so much time and planning. We can see the two of you work hard and play hard. Good to slow a bit. Those little bugs making the loud noises in the trees we call them "SONBESIES" in the Afrikaans language in South Africa. They are so loud small and make such a high pitched noise.

Liked the pebble bottom at the beach. Not like shells which can be sharp. Seems like it would almost feel like a foot massage. Sorry you're under the weather Dan, and glad you two are taking a break (at a great apartment!!) for a bit. No fun trying to do so much in a day when you feel lousy. Bet Chelle is happy for a break too. Rest up, slow down for a bit, and please get better!!

I am happy you are taking a break. When you get worn down you are bound to get sick. You have to have more down time. That beach was gorgeous, especially the water. I think they were Cicada’s. I hope you feel better Dan.

I'm glad you took the break you guys definitely needed. You're going non-stop and I love all your vlogs, but it's impossible to get that going. That's why you get some days off when you work full time. And you two work full time for sure. So good for you to take some time to catch up and take a break. The apartment is beautiful. YAY!!! I have told you two for a while now that I wish you would take a break! I know you have a lot to see in a years time BUT you need to take care of you too!! If $$ allows and you have to go a little longer, so be it. This is a once in a lifetime adventure and you need to enjoy! My idea of resting though is an ocean front condo someplace for 2 weeks! LOL! Have you thought about some sort of week long cruise or even longer? It could provide some relaxation while still allowing some adventure also? Aware the adventure times would be limited but would still provide some GREAT content and at sea time to catch up and plan. Would be great if a cruise company would hire you to do so!!

They are cicadas. We have a lot of them here. This year in the US there was a special thing of hundreds them that came out this year.
Take care of yourselves. I’m sure with traveling and then editing you are not resting enough. We appreciate your dedication to the channel and enjoy it but nothing is worth your health. Rest up!!

I am so glad to hear that you guys are taking a much deserved ( and needed) break. Thank you so much for being honest with us. I was wondering how you guys were doing and if you were getting burned out. I've been very worried about you both and wondered how much longer you could go without resting and taking a break.
Do they have vitamins over there? Can you get some Vitamin B Complex??( it has all the B Vitamins) It will help so much with your energy. I have taken it every day for years and I swear by it!!! ( I take 2 or 3 at 10am and 2 or 3 at 2 pm) and I truly don't think I would be able to get as much done without it!( I'm 71 but people think I am 60) Just don't take it after 4PM or you may not be able to sleep at night. Also, red meat will help. When my husband got hurt the doctor told us that red meat would help him get back his energy and to eat as many hamburgers and steak as he wanted. The red meat helps strengthen your blood. Please take it easy guys. We love you and your Vlogs and look forward to every one of them but we also want you healthy and rested and able to enjoy your travels. So crawl in that comfy fold away bed and get lots of rest and sleep and be good to your body and soul and maybe slow down a little. It will all be there tomorrow. I think you should vlog every 2nd day.....this is your adventure and if it's making you ill having to get a vlog up every day is it really worth it......you only live once,make the most of it and vlog when it suits you Xxx

I'm actually excited to see your next location. The Best thing about you is both are so equally yoked. A beautiful couple in all ways. Chelle, I like your taupe colored swimsuit so much, I have the need to ask where I can find one? I'm going to visit my oldest son and family this fall in N.M. but they have a lovely new home with indoor/outdoor big swimming pool and being a grandma to 2 beautiful granddaughters, I'd sure like to look extra nice in a swimsuit. I'm already tanning in preparation. I've mostly wore the same style in black skirt wrap bottom swimsuit for years, just changing the top up. A new style and color would be extra awesome. Thanks. Hope you get well soon! But that's not the island with the best beaches, first of all, everyone will say the best beaches are where they live, second most croatians don't like sandy beaches (I do). The most beautiful sandy beaches are in the southwest bay od Lopud Island, Vrgada island, Dugi otok (Sakarun), Lopar on Rab, on Vis island, Mljet island and so on. You should ask ppl for beaches with sand 😉
By the way did Chelle make Daniel sleep away from her when he was sick? Chelle take the comfortable pull out couch and stick Daniel in the bed 😂
Locusts is probably what you are hearing. Cicadas come out like every so many years.
They are cicadas. Locust doesnt even make this kind of sound. Periodical Cicadas come out every year. Each generation.
I hope you both get the rest you need to feel rejuvenated! Try lifting up on the head of that fold out couch/bed. It should sit up a bit. Grab the bar and lift up.
