  • We got out of the studio and took a trip to Wickett & Craig Tannery to get a closer look at the process of leather making where all our leather comes from. Thanks for having us, answering all our questions and showing us around. It was great to meet the crew and talk shop.
There are so many steps in the process. Each hide starts as a byproduct of the meat industry. Depending on the type of leather it goes through different steps including, Whole hides then get de-haired, cut, split, washed, tanned, dyed, dried, glazed, skived, staked, oil dipped, tumbled, and plated.
So much work goes into making leather, thanks for watching how its made.
