This gravity dye looks nice. It’s fun to experiment with different folds and colors. I know Steph appreciates anytime she gets a shout out. She called home to tell us.
Hi Crystal, I don't mind giving credit where credits due. As tie dyers I think it good for us to share ideas that way we can all get better. Yours truly 😀👍
Hey Bradd I think this turned out really good they’re a really fun shirt to make and I still don’t know how I missed this one notifications are turned on anyway have a happy New Year😁✌️
@@debbiethornton3218 Hi Debbie, you are right, to keep colors bright, yes you wash in cold water. But after your tie dye is cured and then you do your rinse out with cold water and transition to hot water, then immediately after you put it in the wash on a hot water wash and cold rinse to wash out the remaining dye that is not bonded to the shirt. This prevents color bleeding to other items in the wash in the future. If posible use a professional textile detergent, I have that in my affiliate links. Then all other washes are done in cold water wash and cold rinse using your favorite detergent. I hope this clears everything up for you, thanks for watching.
If you fill a second colander with ice, you can put the ice filled one on top of your shirt. That way, you can stack a ton of ice on your shirt at once
Hi Bradd! Thanks for the shoutout. I’ve subscribed to your channel and I wish you the best of luck with your tie dye journey and your UA-cam journey. Your shirt looks beautiful!! I love the colors. Great tutorial and great explanation. Where in the NW are you? We might be neighbors. I’m here to support your channel so keep up the good work. ❤️🌈
Hi Stephanie, I am so happy that you subscribed to my channel as I have yours. I appreciate all your nice words, I all so appreciate your work as well. I've gotten inspiration from you and several other UA-cam tie dyers. I think it's good that as tie dyers we help each other and share our ideas, that can only move the art form forward. I look forward to communicating with you in the future and yes I do live in the Northwest. I live in Hillsboro and I think you live a bit south of me, yes?
Hi Stephanie, I don't know why I thought you lived down south in the Willamette Valley. Is the Howdy neighborhood in Vancouver? Stephanie do you know any other tie dyers that live either in South West Washington or Oregon, because I thought it would be interesting for us UA-cam tie dyers to do some sort of collaboration project. If you are interested, maybe send me your email so we can communicate easier.

Thanks Greg. I hope you had a happy holiday and you have a very good new year as well.
These are really popular right now. Yours looks great. I like the earth tones you used.
Thanks so much!
I’ve always been taught to wash colors in cold water, so they don’t lose so much color. Hot water washes the colors out and dull.
