Hey, it's ya boy maj here
We're so close to 100sub if you press that sub button that would be great, thanks x)
I am the 100th subscriber , congrats
@@MELOTVBangla You're Great :D
This is the only one video of rigging a character in which I am not confused any more, good!!
That's the Goal :D glad you liked it :)
Sir, I cannot express how absolutely grateful I am to you. The first model I've even posed in blender was a werewolf model that had a mixamo generated rig controller and I never realized that, I just assumed that was what every fully rigged model looked like so when I tried to find a human model to pose and use as reference I was confused and I'd spent maybe a month trying to figure out what was up or put things together like that the werewolf model. I'm so absolutely grateful that I found your video. You have my greatest gratitude.
This is an amazing short, clear without any bla bla stuff straight to the point tutorial. Thank you! Long live the author!
I wish I could subscribe to your channel 100,000,000 times. You TOTALLY deserve it. You have the absolute BEST TUTORIALS on youtube and somehow, they aren't 10 freakin' hours long!!! Thank you for being so awesome!!!
Thanks for being direct, easy to follow and getting to the point. You and Royal Skies are the best. Subbing.
This tutorial is a beautiful piece of art and I will cherish it
This is what it looks like when they teach you with passion, i actually understood what he is showing
Tutorial with decent humor with out annoying...... Impressive
Thanks :) Glad you liked it.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This helped me solve an issue I’ve been having with deleting the face, I didn’t realize I needed to delete that one bone, too!
Best tutorial of rigging
I love all the weird endings. Please... Keep doing that!
I find it hard to learn rigging in so many other yt channels. But this made it so easy T.T thank you so muchhh!!
Never knew that I can do it with mixamo... Good to know.
Fast and precise.. I'm in!
excellent tutorial, thank you 🙏🏻
i looked for this tutorial for soo long thanks soo much
you just fixed what was taking me days to figure out ,in a minute video , instant sub
Thanks, glad it was helpful :)
@@PixelicaCG also quick thing , something els i didnt realize that is really helpfull for new users like me is to mention and highlight the importance of selecting the mesh first then the bones , lmao it took me a few more days to figure that one out
@@samphoenix1674 Yes you're right :D i try to make it more clear for everyone to understand while keeping the video short in the recent videos.
wow wonderful tut very helpful thanks XD
0:34 how to apply modifier (Ctrl+A) from edit mode to select all the bones? when I go to object move it resets to default or going back to rest mode..
That funny at the end. Lmao!
Do you know how should we convert final animation to export a game engine properly? becuz as far as I know, we couldnt export in this way
hey what should I do if I generate the automatic weights but because of the vertex count it sometimes crashes and when it does generate it deforms the sculpture with lines running through certain parts of the body vertically
Excellent tutorial, thank you .
thanks, glad it was helpful :)
Wow, Time to watch this video 100 times,
Thanks, it was very helpful,
I have an issue when I do the last step (auto weight ) right after in pose mode dragging of posing the hand, body, legs the mesh deform very bad
And how you're not using weight paint adjustments??
Thanks so much!!
Hey man! loved your videos! you are really a good teacher, thanks to youtube algorithm for recommending me your channel. Can you make a video on how to rig and animate facial properties
Thanks for the kind words :) yeah definitely doing that in future videos, and god bless the algorithm :D
Heck yes ty for this video
For the second method I saw that you got very different armature then me as well as when I created the control rig I didn’t have all the movement points could you please help me out with that.
then how do you export the animation made with the mixamo rig to an fbx?
hey ! just finished my first armor above a really basic male body mesh, will any of these method will automatically link all the armor part to the body ? :o i'm afraid to try and mess up a whole week of struggle with hardsurface rn XD
just looking through your videos, the stylized hairs that i make with curves are so heavily dense that i cant seem to rig/animate them - is there a way to make the hair less dense that it can be animation ready in blender?
Hey question, if u didnt delete the face rig and instead aligned it and did the same exact thing would that work?
That's almost what I'm looking for but it's still not that,
I'm looking for a way to move the armature from one model to another I still did the tutorial but nothing seems to move in pose mode.
The ending was priceless. Until now, I thought rigify is witchcraft. And you showed it isn't X)
I have one question, which is my current issue. I have a similar rig to this, but I do not have facial bones at all. how is it possible to add facial animations after you already generated this rig?
sir is it a bug i have blender 2.93.7 version and when i rigify my character the leg rig is not proper(it comes to another place) i made a simple ameture and it was completely fine but when i moved a bone and again generated it the problem came again?
I always have an issue in skinning in with rigify&auto rig pro too 🤷
THE LAST ONE SCREAM WAS SO SCARY
when i try to do automatic weights it says ''Bone Heat Weighting: failed to find solution for one or more bones'' any solutions to my problem
Does it export in fbx?
Hey, I was trying to export a fbx model with textures on (just like your model in the video) but no matter what settings I tweak it still won't export the texture, perhaps you could help me?
try exporting it as obj
when I try and click drag the model in pose mode I get an error saying "no keyframes to slide between" any idea why?
picker bone or control ui for human meta rig where I can find it as we are in 2022
which of the 2 ways produces the best result?
brillianto porfecto incraebly
When i click automatic weights my character becomes far away from the rig and becomes massive how do i fix this
hi! when i try to parent everything, nothing moves. i have selected everything and parented it, but when i go to pose mode, the rig simply moves but not my model..
same!!!!
This happens when you delete the facial bones of the nose, although the guy of the channel says that you should delete all facila bones. If you does not delete that bone, it will work
Hey. What if blender is stuck, when telling it to make the rig? it loads and loads. I have a sculpted charakter.
may be have some tips for rigging bearded character?
How can you keep your texture in the second method if you upload as an obj?
it doesnt affect the UVs so if you have a texture for the object you just need to apply the texture to the object after you bring it back from the mixamo.
Every time I press with automated weights it freezes and then crashes every time, I need help please.
I keep getting an error, of "Bone Upper Arm L: Input to rig must be a chain of at least 3 bones incorrect amature for type 'Limb_rigs'" Error Anyone know how to correct it?
lmao the ending
ctrl+p but the mesh disappear..solution?
how do edit weights
thats was a great tutorial i needed that but what should i do to attach the cloths, hair and eyes to the body for it to move with it
Attach clothes to the rigify generated rig, same as he explained with the character mesh to the rig (with automatic weights. If you have say pants then shirt separate ,two separate pieces. You would need to apply for each one. Click on pants then generated rig parent w auto weights. Click on shirt, generated rig, parent w auto weights). You can afterward get rid of the vertex groups that are extra you don't need on those meshes. So shoes (etc) would have all bones listed and with assigned weights. With say shoes selected go in weight paint mode. Go down the vertex list and see what bones listed actually are used for the shoes. Delete only the ones that have complete zero weight paint on the shoes(etc). They will have assigned zero weight (the darkest blue all over the mesh ). I usually lock the bones that i need then delete the ones i don't need (freeing up memory. Shoes you wouldn't need any bone that influences the shoe past the shin (Like hands, spine, etc.). Hair would be parented the same as shoes, etc .
The eyes (tongue, teeth) that's a tricky one with rigify. You need to go in the armature settings select one of the layers that's not selected and enable to view it. The eyes the teeth and tongue bones are in a hidden layer. And would need to be positioned correctly. Then apply (parent w auto weights each one to that hidden bone rig with handles in one of the hidden layers (not the same rig as the one for clothes or mesh. So not the generated rig with handles like you were previously. It's really dumb nobody ever explains this or covers it at all. I think ive seen one yt video that explained it. Cause i couldn't figure out how to get the eyes working). Cause eyes and the teeth are tough . I suggest saving before doing the eyes ,teeth, tongue. Cause you might select and parent to wrong rig part (I think there is 3 hidden layers if I recall. One layer is the where the bones to position are for eyes etc. The other layer is the one you would select to parent to.)
I hope this helps.
I would create a new save file just in case (i usually save as " file name-v2".) . Before doing all this bone placement and parenting with auto weights. So you have your character mesh and everything still original in the first file, and not altered in anyway.
@@stealth2951 For the eyes i just need them to follow the face thats all
@@darkprinc3284 you could do the same as the shoes etc probably (the eyeswould have mutiple weights though). Then select like main head bone. Get rid of the rest in vertex group. Paint the eyes 100% strength all around in weight paint mode. With like the main bone selected in the vertex group.
Or parent the eyes to something in the middle of head since you are not going to move them at all. And just make sure they are offset.
@@stealth2951 i always thought that the eyes are the problem but i found out that the face mesh is stretching when u move its rig that what makes the eyes look weird
0:47 (fixed) i do exactly the same things and the body don't move with the rig, someona have a solution please ? edit : for the guys parent rig with mesh don't work select the child and the parent scale up by 10 and parent
♥
when i click on pose mode and try to move the body does'nt move why
Nice
Thanks
when i press shift+a it doesnt show armiture or anything other than some basic shapes
I watched 15 min of crap and now with only 30 secs, I get it. bravo👍and thanks
How long did it take for you too rig it manually no cuts?
usually takes me about 20 minutes
waiting for how to modeling character mate :D
Don't know how i'm gonna fit it in a 1.5min video but gotta figure something out :D
Are all your meshes joined?
For some reason when I go to apply the weights, my control rig does not change the geometry :/
I hope you found a solution. If you did, let me know
I always have an error when trying to click generate rig
RIGIFY ERROR: Bone 'spine.004': Cannot connect chain - bone position is disjoint.
Incorrect armature for type 'chain_rigs'
and it doesn't work
it wont work with aply all trasforms please reply
Are you combining the dress with body to animate the character? Please answer
It should work either way since it's just applies the weight paint to each of the objects.
@@PixelicaCG So you say that it's all about the weight area of the bones. There are another options to animate dress with the body. Data transfer, combining objects and simulation baking. Which one do you think is the best?
I keep getting this error message when I try to generate my rig. Any solutions?
RIGIFY ERROR: Bone 'spine.004': Cannot connect chain - bone position is disjoint.
Incorrect armature for type 'chain_rigs'
Any help is greatly appreciated!
me too
same i fixed the issue by basically not touching the spine once the rig was added
My character rig will not move the mesh. I get the error: Bone Heat Weighting Failed: Failed to find solution for one or more bones. when I try to parent the rig to the mesh. I checked poly count, tried to delete the face bones, nothing works!
Hi, I've followed 2 peoples tutorials and now yours and my rig still doesn't seem to work properly, My legs don't actually bend, it just ruins the mesh when i try to move it, I watched your "how to fix" one aswell and still nothing.
When i select with automatic weights blender just crashes
अद्भुत
Every time i press generate rig...it says incorrect armature for type 'leg'
does this work with characters with skirts?
yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
I don't understand when you say "select the arms and put them inside your character". I select but can't move? You didn't mention how to move after selected. I'm in edit mode. I'm clueless...
if you're in the edit mode you should be able to select and move every bone with "G" or rotate it with "R"
Hello! How do I delete all rig settings?
hey, if you mean resetting what you did just press f3 and search Reset unkeyed and select it (make sure you're in pose mode)
Where I see this rig were made in 90 seconds?
explained in around 95sec :D but you can definetly pull that off if you're fast.
@@PixelicaCG ok
How to upload your character in Maximo
cant get the arms to move
Mine, did not worked properly, some of the objects of my character jumped to strange positions
You solved all my problems with that fking bone 0:28 sorry to use vulgar words but i lost so much hours because of that, couldn't generate a proper rig THANK YOU SO MUCH
Glad that it was helpful :)
I have been doing this for the past 3 hours the generated rig is half the size of the mesh the rig only moves the mesh and not the bones if anyone knows how this rig can be made with zero problems please write in detail.
try to edit mode > merge vertices by distance and eliminate duplicate, then go try to rigging again.
@@msancor4880 a year late 😃
WHAT DO I DO IF MY SYMMETRIZE FUNCTION IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND ??? I'm genuinely surprised at how hard this stupid interface is still after so many updates and how there are features still missing that were in previous versions. Search function doesn't find symmetrize or symmetry either btw.
Never came across this problem, So there's no X button on the top right side of the viewport besides the option? (it's only available in edit mode and pose mode) if you don't have it you can also find it in active tool and workplace setting (right side menu) under "option" named "X-Axis Mirror"(only in edit/pose mode). also you can delete the left side of the rig and select the right side and right click > symmetrize if the other ones didnt work out.
Doesn't work if you delete more controls than said in the video
For some reason my rig doesn’t move my character
Followed the steps again and again to make sure I got everything right but still nothing
It’s like nothing is patented to what it’s meant to
The body isn’t paired to the rig
They all only move individually
Ok so it’s patented in object mode
It gets moved
But in pose mode the model doesn’t move only the rig
Did you found the solution to this?
my character doesnt move after parenting with auto weights T.T
the fingers don't match up for mine
If I try to upload my character it just stops at 9%
you sure it's not becuase of the large size or weak internet?
@@PixelicaCG I've tried zip, obj and the other one but none of them seem to work. It says sorry, can't map character or something like that. But it's fine I rigged the character with your first method, I need to learn to rig anyway so might as well do it myself. Thanks for your reply though.
generating the rig is impossible for me
but i guess it is still good
:|
0:32 bro there is no ctrl a option for this, it only adds more bones
shift+A adds more bones. Try going into object mode first then try ctrl+A
yeah bro do it in object mode, if u still struggle with it you can also navigate to "object" (top left corner of the viewport) then go to apply then all transform. (you have to be in object mode for this too)
MANN ILYTORSOSKMSS
does mixamo free?
yeah
#similarities #object #done #media #open #music..#thread
But mixamo rig has not Facial rig 🙃
yeah thats the problem :D but rigify has
uploading the facial rig tutorial right now :D
