What a beautiful house. Glad it never went to commercial use, it would have completely ruined it. An amazing collection of artwork. I think it is wonderful that you can actually meet the artist. The blossoms 🌸 are beautiful. I would love to visit there.
The exhibitions look really good, the music room is such a warm and friendly room but for me the highlight is the exterior of the building. I adore Georgian buildings.
What a charming Burgh House!! A fabulous museum - I would love to see this. The paintings are stunning. I love the wood workings in the house. the wooden chaise lounge chair is beautiful! So unique. I would gladly give a donation for the House to keep it strong and beautified. The beautiful area does look as if one is stepping back in time - just so wonderful. The cafe looks scrumptious. Love the blue and white China. Loved this upload!!
Steve, was Freud's last London residence in Hampstead? Just saw a pretty good show on cable called "The Last Session" (I think) "fantasy" account of Freud meeting with C.S. Lewis in his home at the start of WW2. While I didn't hear the word "Hampstead," it seemed like that's where it probably was, or a community of similar physicality, history, distinction. I'm sorry I didn't think to visit Freuds last residence while in London years ago. I presume it's opened to the public, or at least *marked.
Hi Karen, funnily enough you are right, it is around that area - between Hampstead and Finchley Road and is now a Freud Museum! If you look it up it has all the details about the museum online. :)

Thanks Luana, yes a lovely step back through time on this one and a hidden nugget 👍😀
So much history for one building.
Fascinating, Steve. 👏🏻😁
Thanks again John in Chicago
The outside of the house looks like an exterior of a house used in The Crown. It was only shown once, but I could swear it is the same house.
I looked it up and it is not mentioned in filming locations, so it must have been somewhere similar.
A lot of these large old places do look alike - wouldn't surprise me if it have been used in filming something 👍😀
