It’s an absolutely beautiful home and a magnificent piece of architecture and artistic work. I’m very happy to see that Sir James has restored it authentically and shows it every bit of the respect that it’s due. You can even see in the photography that the paneled walls are well fed with wood polish and the floors are very well cared for too. I’m happy that he enjoys the house so much because he’s my favorite musician.
Jimmy is an artist as well as a musician. He had an art education and has an eye for color. ( i met him and conversed with him more than once in the Led Zep days.).Beautiful colorful home, says a lot about him.
Huge fan of Jimmy, I was in London about 5 years ago and stood outside the Tower House like a weirdo (although a respectful, quiet one) . Beautiful home.. I hoped to see Jimmy but he was off doing genius artist things. Wanted to see Robbie so I could yell at him on Jimmy's behalf, but alas it was not to be. Great episode. Thanks.
Thank you for this video, I've been an admirer of Tower House for many years. Bless Jimmy for preserving this incredible masterpiece; I hope that he continues to enjoy his home for many years to come.
Ah! So you know that story. I think I might get into that in another show. That dude is a real selfish jerk-off. No respect for his neighbors or history. Thanks for checking out the show. I appreciate it.
Robbie Williams would not appreciate the value and would most likely strip the walls and re decorate it as a retro discotech the slimy smarmy unctious prick he is😢
Oh how I wish that Sir James was still regularly writing music as everything that sprang from his hands were pure masterpieces and as much as I treasure his years with the Yardbirds and his magnificent twelve years with Led Zeppelin, I wished for a lifetime of his compositions. I love his work. It’s some of the most emotional and simultaneously complex and compelling music I’ve ever heard and it is part of my regular musical diet.

Fascinating house. I currently have a rescue dog from Korea and a cat from an animal shelter. Completely with you on animal's rights to live their lives. Thank you.
Didn't think any place was as special as Friar House. The inside of Jimmy's has out done it, but nothing compete with Friar's gardens. Hats off to both owners...
@JohnnieDelong Look at his garden property called The Deanery in Sonning Upon Thames. Then, look at the gardens of his home in the 70s; Plumpton Place.
7:10 You can clearly see there is electrical uplighting. Obviously electrics are present. As for electrical outlets, they are obviously required, if only for vacuuming, cooking, maintenance etc, theyve just been sympatheticaly positioned. At 7:40 you can see a lit desk lamp.
For how anti establishment and tradition these rock stars were they sure love old world homes. I guess I’m a just a but jealous that I don’t have one lol
There was a big trend in the late 1960s and early 1970s with all these (once poor) pop stars buying great old English country homes, mostly because they were the only ones who could even afford them at the time. I'll be discussing more soon. So please stay tuned. Thanks!
There looks to be an outlet about a foot above the floor on the wall. You can see it about 8 minutes in , it would be to Jimmy’s left. There is a man with Jimmy about 9:50 in, and it would be right behind him. 9:54 it is visible again.11:55 another one between the empty chair and Jimmy.
Many thanks for the video, and to those who have restored and continue to preserve this home. I work for the US NPS and have the good luck to spend a lot of time in historic structures. So many naturally lend themselves to making music, acoustic and electric. Totally understand the vibration issue.
I’ve heard that about both Jimmy & Robert, that they will talk to fans, maybe not for long though. So many others can be nasty, but I’ve heard only praise for them.
well, old homes much older got wired and the wires are inside metal tubing, discreetly along the wall moldings. there are lights shining up on t he tops of the walls, onto the paintings. So that 's possibly electrical wiring. Look on the walls, the light switches might be dark brass or old dark brown plastic. I can see one behind a door . If there are chandeliers, or wall sconce lights, there is wiring.( i see some) . Could be behind the paneling, easily removed and then put back on. I see speakers on the bottom right on one scene. Those would probably have to plug in. If no candles, then he has lights. It's a victorian home, those usually got wired not long after wiring became available.
Great video! What an amount of research and editing! And I'm with you on the plant-based diet. Every time I see a lion eating an antelope I get so angry I eat a soy burger.
Can you introduce me the mutual friend? I'd settle for a message passed. Hello Jimmy it's your biggest fan, I picked up the guitar 23 year's ago after listening to 'Stairway to Heaven' (like everyone else) for the first time. It has been quite a journey since...thank you for all the beautiful music, the soundtrack of my life.
To me it seems like living in a museum, not very homey. I do appreciate the architecture of course. But I'll take Friar Park with its sense of humor and beautiful gardens etc... Big Jimmy fan but where's the recording studio or at least a cool secret passage? lol
No matter how wealthy the owner is, or with as much artistic integrity both he and the house has, you cannot guarantee in life that your neighbours will be more than ignorant plebs......
Incredible/Beautiful... Did he raise his kids their??? I would like to see the kitchen , is a mixer, or blender in the room??? No TV ... see ya... Now,,, very curious, was it a family home???
@@StrangeHistoryX....Was wondering if you had any knowledge about the large square-shaped attachment on Tower House's far left side (if looking at the home from the street). I live directly across the road to Jimmy, which is ok, but he’s always coming over, asking me to show him how to play stuff on guitar, to be honest, he’s becoming a bit of a pest. 😄
About 60 seconds into the video you can see what looks like a stereo system and some records. So Jimmy doesn't allow a TV to be turned on but a stereo system is OK? That makes no sense.
He likely has several homes around the world, but this certainly offers him more privacy than the Tower House where people can easily see him come and go.
Jimmy already had a lot of bread. I think he could have bought Friar Park. Plus, if GH didn't buy it in 1970 it may have stayed on the market. Sooner or later, I think JP would have gotten it. The estate is right up his alley.
@@StrangeHistoryX He did not already have a lot of bread. He was living on a houseboat at the time Led Zeppelin was formed. His fortune wasn't earned yet in 1969.
The funny thing is that Pattie when house searching for her and George looked at the house that Jimmy Page bought, at the time the elderly owner did not want to sell it to a rock star lol. Friar Park was the next estate they looked at and the rest is history.
Luckily you're not the one who's living there, then. I'm sure Jimmy finds it comfortable enough. We've only seen a few stately rooms on the first floor and that's it. I'm sure there are plenty of spaces there that aren't so museum like where Jimmy and Scarlett relax
I don't find this home beautiful or uplifting. Medieval and Victorian hotch potch that offends my sense of design. Nothing is truly historic about the interior, just stabs at copying the aesthetics of certain eras. Overloaded and unrestful.
You make all these video of these uber satanic celebrities…. Is quite interesting actually…… using the good ol’ method ‘’ hidden in plain sight’’ like state the obvious so nobody would believe it….. 😂😂😂😂😉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very cool video. Very interesting the places that Jimmy Page lived. At 9:58 it looks like he's working on the artwork for an album cover. Very cool!
All respect to Richard Harris for having this treasure of a house restored 👍

That must be the biggest understatement ever from an early 70s rock star, "I was heady from the experience". That place must be bugger to clean!
People with money don't do it themselves.

Glad you enjoyed it!
A great musician must have a forever home.Praise him for what he has done for music. Greetings. L.G
I visited Tower House once. Just walked by it. Such an impressive structure. I'm not too surprised Jimmy has given it the respect it is due.

Especially the way Jimmy can play.
11:40 I’d assume that photog Ross Halfin probably did some of the photography in question-he and Jimmy are good friends and do some work together.
I live a twenty minute walk away, I might have to take a detour to the park to have a look. My sister worked with Jimmy's ex wife, he's a nice guy.

Welcome Trudy! It’s so good to know you’re still in the area! I hope you continue to pop in.
I hope so too, but it was just weird that she walked in on my like that. In her defense, she was bringing me tea and a scone, and I wasn't naked.
We can be thankful for that! And I’m sure she appreciates that too.
