- My first favorite subway car of all time was the "Fox Red" Overhauled R27/30, I was probably only 4 or 5 years old when I saw it and it left an impression on me I would never forget. I really wish it would have lasted longer before retirement.
Exterior update thanks to @delorean132 for his IRT redbird exterior references which I used as the proper "Fox Red" color and side scroll sign texture.
Some R30 sounds derived from John Urbanski recordings and from @Yolticat 1991 video of The Rockaways.
Special thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project including @GeneralHawk505 who got this started.
My favorite subway car class of all time. I had too many fond memories of riding the R27/R30s as a kid. I rode them as redbirds as well as the graffitied sets. Awesome times.
That is amazing to hear I wish I could download your memories of it haha! I only got to see and ride the redbird version of the R30 on the C line as a kid. Became one of my favorite subway car classes of all time as well! I was probably only like 5 when I first saw it and I never forgot the impression it made on me!
Glad I have helped in the past and that you were at least thankful to accept the knowledge of learning these old behemoths. It took alot off my hands as I finished the Unrebuilt 32 and 38. Enjoy.
@@GeneralHawk505 I truly appreciate it bro! I’m getting to see my favorite train from my childhood manifest in this sim and it has truly been an awesome adventure learning about them in all their different eras. This wouldn’t have been possible without your help, knowledge and resources man!

The R27s started their careers on the QB and QT lines in 1960 and the R30s began their careers on the RR train in 1961. Even though I wasn't born until 1964. They ended their careers on the C train in 1993. Anyway, always a good job well done 👏 ✔️ 👍 👌 😀 🙌 👏
