In regards to the end game, not really. But story wise, the bat gives u the staff, the staff sends you to the warmaker to learn about the exiled lands and the artifacts of power.

you need the boss (bat) blood and you get it by killing the boss that's up there

That also didn’t work for me, like the bosses blood, maybe my games just broken, a lot of my crafting things don’t work like my dismantling bench won’t dismantle stuff, would be a nearly perfect game if it wasn’t so broken
