Denise is the only new character in season 8 i enjoyed. She's hilarious. Love her comments, attitude, accent and of course her thing for fatties. The "Cancer line" and her "That sucks" comments are priceless. Sacred Heart needed someone like her!

From the credits it appears he directed a couple of them but the writing was just so bad. It was all the neat puns from the height of the show exaggerated into absurdity. In my experience, women who feel the need to call themselves things like that usually just like the idea of themselves being strong and independent but actually arent.
8 years ago I thought she was way too uncaring for a doctor. Here I am now, actually able to see that most doctors prefer to keep distance and some are even emotionally unable to empathize with patients just as a coping mechanism. Almost every doctor has a story of them being unable to help patient, or even arguably being part of the reason they got worse or even died, so their emotional burnout is highly explainable. She would be better off as a surgical resident though. Surgeons really tend to view patients in the same kind of way car mechanics view cars and engines.
