She should have led the spin-off. And they should have given it another name than the main series. And not have Donald and Zach and Sarah in it, so the series could walk on its own feet.

The problem with season 9 was, that they decided to throw the previous 8 seasons out the window and change the show in to a full out teanie commedy. The show knew how to hit you so hard it knocked your socks off. Season 9 replaced any possibly emotional things with more sex jokes >.>

Denise is the only new character in season 8 i enjoyed. She's hilarious. Love her comments, attitude, accent and of course her thing for fatties. The "Cancer line" and her "That sucks" comments are priceless. Sacred Heart needed someone like her!

From the credits it appears he directed a couple of them but the writing was just so bad. It was all the neat puns from the height of the show exaggerated into absurdity. Still, I suffered through that season a few times, just because I'm that sort of fan.
8 years ago I thought she was way too uncaring for a doctor. Here I am now, actually able to see that most doctors prefer to keep distance and some are even emotionally unable to empathize with patients just as a coping mechanism. Almost every doctor has a story of them being unable to help patient, or even arguably being part of the reason they got worse or even died, so their emotional burnout is highly explainable. She would be better off as a surgical resident though. Surgeons really tend to view patients in the same kind of way car mechanics view cars and engines.
