You can keep your properties panel locked in the side bar like I have, so its easy access all the time, but it will open and close as you work still. Otherwise you’d need to make it a floating panel in your workspace.
Awesome tutorial, plus I learned some new keyboard shortcuts! Cutting out complex shapes can be annoying, usually I just try to paint a layer mask or use the lasso tool but that can be a big PITA haha
Hello Brendan. Thank you for this tutorial. I have been using a way with channels to remove white background. Today I was trying to work on a project and while trying to remove the background with this technique I noticed that smooth, feather, contrast, and shift edge is not appearing any more. I also noticed an update. Does this has something to do with new 2024 update or is it something I do not know how to fix.
Excellent! Although the white background is always easier than colored/one or more colors or a gradient one. But, anyway, you gave valuable information and it'll be very useful to me and many others. Thank you Brendan :)
Solid colors and white are usually pretty similar but in the other cut out tutorials on my channel I talk about how to deal with more complex backgrounds!
thanks for the video..i tried the first method..it did remove the white background but when i saved the image as j.peg, the result were completely different from the one shown by the remove background tool..may be i might have done some error in settings while saving it..can you please guide on how to save the image using the first method.?
I was excited to learn of the single button "Remove Background" feature but pressing it crashes Photoshop to desktop without fail any time I try to use it.
You should check your system preferences vs the recommended photoshop specs, or go into your Photoshop preferences and dedicate more processing power to the program if possible then.
Do I need to save the image as a certain file? I removed the background in photoshop, but when I upload it on my website, it still has a white background. I saved it as a jpeg.
Brendan, or someone here that could help me: When I choose the overlay brush it doesn't paint in black or white. What I'm doing wrong? It only works when I paint with a normal brush... Nobody deserves it since we can 'invade' the opposite area (black invades white and vice versa). I hope you can help me 'cause I have tons of very busy backgrounds to remove. Thanks in advance!
Wow, why doesn't photoshop have simple tool to remove any color from a photo in one step? AE used to have this with keying and it was just so damn simple.
Love your instruction style! Great video!

Clutch means like coming in a time when you need it. Coming into save the day type of thing.
Thanks for your new tutorial. Could you please make a video on how to change photos to art or artificial color?
As it making a photo look like a painting?
@@BrendanWilliamsTutorials Appreciate your response, sir. Greeting from Cambodia.
Yes, something look like painting or by your idea. Thanks 🙏
Wonderful video ... keep it up bro
Thanks a ton~! Is there a way to keep that Quick Actions open in the right all the time?

Thanks so much Brendan - super easy when you explain it :)
Great tutorial, I would now split them into 4 videos 👌
Excellent video Brendan. Not sure why you don't the same sample image. That's the final touch missing from your tutorials.
Thanks for this video. I was struggling to remove a white background and you made it so easy.
I use a gray background for banners. How would I remove white instead of white? Thank you for you straight forward training
Awesome tutorial, plus I learned some new keyboard shortcuts!
Cutting out complex shapes can be annoying, usually I just try to paint a layer mask or use the lasso tool but that can be a big PITA haha
Things have been explained really clearly, Brendan. Nice work.
SIMPLE, EASY, SMART! THANKS!! Take my sub.

Brendan Williams God bless you so much🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I have been looking for something like this for so long
Keep bringing more🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

You can paint out the white/black background using opacity and the lighten/darken modes as well
dude this 11:59 gives me chills
thank you, but if you don't have 2020 can you create the action?
Good one
Thank you! Cheers!
I used the first method :)
kudos.
Hi Brendan,Hope you could attach a image samples so that We could follow a Long, practice. Great Tutorial, Thanks 👍👍👍😊😊😊from the Philippines
HI HOW DO I SAVE THE IMAGE AND PUT IN IN PREMIERPRO? WHEN I SAVE IT AS PSD PREMIERPRO DOSENT ACCEPT IT
thanks for the video..i tried the first method..it did remove the white background but when i saved the image as j.peg, the result were completely different from the one shown by the remove background tool..may be i might have done some error in settings while saving it..can you please guide on how to save the image using the first method.?
👍👍👏👏😍😍
My refine edge tool does not come up? Maybe because I am using an older version of Photoshop?

When i click properties it just says "no properties" be it a background unlocked layer, or a new layer entirely. so i cant do anything with it.

Have you got the images I can download?

Good tutorial for images without any transparency in them. Doesn't work at all if the background is baked in.
I dont have properties in photoshop theres nothing
Is that free?
Wow, why doesn't photoshop have simple tool to remove any color from a photo in one step? AE used to have this with keying and it was just so damn simple.
Every time I click remove background, it says "Could not find background to remove"
With more complex images or subjects with similar colors Photoshop cant detect the edges and that will happen unfortunately.
@@BrendanWilliamsTutorials Ah ok, yeah I figured. How do you export cut out images in Photoshop?
edge detection is not doing a very good job for me :(
in the 11:57 design getting scary be careful guys
It takes you decades to explain what you "are going to do now" ... when you can just start doing it as you speak.
First !
Heck ya!
I am totally lost : (
I should have realized by the 1.3k likes and 66k views this wouldn't be helpful. Thanks youtube for not showing thumbs downs...
Way too long. Just get to the point.
