    I just realized something: guitars have six strings but the word "guitar" has six letters. So if a bass has four strings and there are four letter in "bass", then does that mean this three-string-guitar would be called "ass"?

      @HarleySLA church music can be awful. But some of it really can be great. I think when it comes to church and worship music, sometimes they feel you can't do flashy/skilled stuff because it takes away from the message of the song. I totally have this, because then musicians are bored out of their minds in the songs.

      Yes, but I also think that a child who is approaching guitar and music must, first of all, have fun without worrying about playing well. Just my two cents...

    Woah.. a whole video of you just playing guitar! You haven't done one like this in a while. Sweet! I was just thinking it might be about time to put together a Stevie T shred compilation part 2!
    Btw, you should definitely make another album of original music, Steve! You could just do instrumental if you don't want to sing. I would be cool with that. 🙂
    That does look really comfortable to play! I would love to see you have your own signature 7-string in this size of guitar! Loved the references to some of your older/classic videos. The Oxford Djent and How to be Djent were some of the very first ones I ever watched of yours. Brings back good times. 💖
    Also, I love how you included some old footage of you from around when you first started playing guitar. It's so interesting to see. Honestly, I always wish I could've been the age you were back in 2003 (I was only 6). But at the same time I'm sure it was much harder to learn guitar back then. 😅

    • @nicolemichlovsky2505
      @nicolemichlovsky2505 3 місяці тому +2

      It was actually WAY better back then cause you had to listen to the song over and over to figure out the notes sometimes one at a time which trained your ear and developed your style….

    • @_emilyelizabeth_
      @_emilyelizabeth_ 3 місяці тому +2

      @@nicolemichlovsky2505 I see where you're coming from and how it was probably more rewarding to figure it out on your own by ear, but it just doesn't beat the amount of modern day guitar tutorials being a much faster and efficient way of learning guitar. And you can still develop your own style by learning from UA-cam, guitar lesson apps and things.. You just have to keep in mind to let loose and play what feels uniquely comfortable/suited to you, rather than just strictly copying how another person plays.

      Honestly, as someone that has played bass for 20 years but is just learning guitar now, the two instruments are so different in every way other than physical resemblance that the skills only kinda roughly translate to each other. To anyone that wants to play guitar, start with a guitar and don't think of bass as an "easier" guitar and if you wanna play bass start with a bass and don't let people get ya down about it being "easy" because the instrument in reality is just as complex as guitar but in different ways.

    • @daveweed2765
      @daveweed2765 3 місяці тому +3

      @@adafrost6276 Honestly. If you really wanna play bass learn how to play guitar first. Both guitars are totally different for sure. The way you play them are totally different. But... if you learn bass first then the puritans will teach finger picking. Yeah right. So much goes into playing with a pick and finger picking a bass is really easy. Honestly playing bass with a pick is totalky different than playing guitar. But you have a one up on someone taught on bass. I hold the pick different on bass than on guitar. More on bass is showing and pointed toward the nut. Angle of attack is different too. And mostly down strokes instead of alternate picking. And instead of picking rolling off the strings. But yeah four strings. I loked playing guitar for sure. Solos and so on. I love playing bass.
      But honestly and it has to be a joke, why would you wanna shred on the G B and E string before you learn G C and D chords? You need all six strings for that. Just like I learned guitar a long time ago. Shreding only takes you so far and most begginers wont be shredders.
      I went from guitar to bass. Bass is a bad ass beast for sure. Its as heavy as a Les Paul and the neck is longer than your "instrument" and so fun to play because you can play with it many different ways. As long as you match the tone of the guitar/guitars and in time with the drummer anything goes. But you have to pay attention to what you are playing and why. You are rythem and provide the groove between riffs on a stringed instrument aka "guitar". Its pretty simple but music theory and understanding it goes a long way.

    I have a guitar kind of like this. But it has the highest FOUR strings of a guitar, and it's tuned up a fourth (GCEA). Of course, it is so small that they need to make the first string tuned an octave higher than it otherwise would, lest the first string be too thick to sound good, so it is generally annotated "gCEA". But nobody calls it a "four string guitar," everybody calls it a "ukulele" for some reason.

      @@IsoMacintosh Tenor guitars are tuned in fifths (CGDA). This is what you’d get if you took the lowest string off a baritone ukulele. That is why this instrument kind of confused me, as there is already an instrument that kind of does this. Still, the tenor guitar is pretty fun, too. And if somebody bought me one of these three-string things, I’d probably have a blast with it.

    Dude, there was a way worse beginner guitar before your day. Back in my day I owned it. 1985 and the body was about 1" thick, the pickup was top mounted the bridge was like and upside down ashtray and sucked BALLS! It had this burst paint job and kind of I guess a country design. It was given to me by a friend of my mothers. But I truly believe it was meant to be a weapon in a bar to break up fights from drunks after a rodeo? Not sure. But your first guitar is killer! I'd mod it today. Let me rad it out for you. Ill make you love it again.

    OMG, I had so much fun today! This little cute guitar is so cool!
    AND IT DJENTS!!!! HELL YEAH!!!🤘(btw, can you please teach me how to djent? Bradley is a sweepman, he's not authorized to teach djent. I need djent god for this 🤪) 😅
    I really loved the puns. The sweeps from your GUI-car vid, the "I'M SO DJENT!" from your How to be Djent vid, The tapping part from Djenstrumental (Album of Epicness), the parts from If Djent was added to the oxford dictionary, "Catchy, catchy, catchy" as from Generic pop song catchy catchy? 🤣 and "No rest for GRASFFSSSCHOPFSSSS" from Intelligible lyrics... 😍😂 (i hope I remembered everything, haha 😅)
    Also, if somebody will tell you again that you make too many faces, then they know nothing! Medications work, but they are for LOOSERS! * throws pick away *
    So then... yeah... 😊I will now drop that santa and be mental again 🤣
    Love ya, Steve! ❤
    P.S. The G C D technique song will be now in my brain indefinitely for few days straight 😆THANKS STEVE 🤪👍
    As for the others.... YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE DJENT! 😤

    Well, sweep picking is not that important to beginners, but palm muting and power chords are. The 3 string thing will deform the beginners perception. Also tabs won't be ok. These are my thoughts.

      I agree to a large extent. Also think learning guitar before ukulele for similar reasons.
      One you learn guitar, uke or 3 string is a cake walk.
      Wish I had learned piano first. It really builds the brain for operating the hands independently. As it is I actually did drums first, then guitar, then key boards a bit. Didn't get a uke until Dec 2022, was playing tunes inside of 5 minutes. - Cheers

    Hi, Steve. I know there’s a very small chance you will see this especially 4 days after your video, but I want to tell you that there’s a horrible hurricane (Hurricane Helene, I live right above Florida in GA, so there’s a bunch of stuff going on here) goin on here in the U.S, and you have been me and siblings’ entertainment and top person to cheer us up during this time. Thank you so much for being who you are and being the person who inspires me to play guitar, and of course thank you for being funny and making millions of people laugh.
