I want to replace oil in my Eaton 10 speed manual transmission. I've never done it so need help finding drain plug and fill plug. What kind of oil and how many gallons? Can I use synthetic 75W140?

Hey Ryan , I am going to build my own shop for primarily my t660 , but also have a few old friends that know my mechanical history, and will also be doing work on their trucks. I think we are going to be putting someone in our truck and I will be staying in the shop before long.

They are identical transmission every gear is the same only difference is the radiator and you don’t want that anyways all they do is leak antifreeze into the system.

the isx has more torque and horsepower than a air cooled cooler allows for. once they went over 450ish hp they all have coolant oil coolers on them. the 16 denotes 1600 ft lbs of torque,
@@youtubeisawesome2487 Then Ryan's 10 speed has the internal oil cooler and the 2 line are water in/out. but the FRO 16210C can come with an external oil water cooler and even an oil filter if he wanted it. So all I am saying is Buying the external cooler might be less hassle than swapping the FRO 16210C for the exact model with an internal cooler
Ryan the first thing you delete is the antifreeze coolant lines . The main reason transmission fail ask any transmission guy. Also any of the metric transmissions are junk they don't have the better Eaton parts ...ask Eaton. They're lite and a 10 spd why.....anybody who buys a truck gets a 13 or 18 enough said
Mine last 750,000 miles. I don’t disagree. Only $2600 for rebuild replacement. I would rather have a 13 speed. If I would keep the truck, I would install a 13 speed.

Yes, it is possible. But so many other things have to be replaced as well! It is hard to say how much money it will cost.

You could also just buy a small air to (oil inside) radiator that come with the new Fro 16 210 c. ????

I think if you were to pull the transmission out then take extensive photographs less time could of passed.
