Thanks for this series, Randy. As a newbie to the fishing sport I really appreciate your targeting the fundamentals for those of us who are completely ignorant of how to entice those fish onto our hooks. (I love your Intuitive Angling too!)
I catch them through the ice and prefer 10'-20' even in the deep lakes. I'll go less for bluegills mostly but Crappie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, channel catfish,. carp drum and everything might be there.
I imagine that you are already planning on doing so but a topic that could help A LOT of new anglers is how weather, specifically storm systems and fronts affect fishing. They should know that (generally speaking)where the fish are and/or what works leading up to a storm can be different than what happens after the storm and the bluebird days arrive. I know many new anglers that thought those were “ good days to fish” when in reality it was comfortable days for us to go fishing instead.
I hate Summer fishing, to hot. Especially here in Alabama. The only way I fish in summer is very early two hours before daylight, and only two hours after sunrise. After that get me in Air Conditioning! Past 82 degrees I'm finished. I'll also fish after Sunset. Night fishing in Summer is how you Bass fish here. Especially in full moon cycles. But daytime forget it! Find yourself another boy not interested.

Thank you for these videos Randy, they're a great refresher. I'm looking forward to a video on 3" and/or 5" curly tail grubs. Old school stuff.
Randy thanks for all the tips you give us.
