Career change for me. love outdoors, got a 4wd, I already have film edit skills, tech skills. but, flying is new to me! Ultimately, I want to fly search & rescue with a thermal cam drone. BUT, first I need to get skilled as a pilot. What drone is a good platform for learning before I spend a bunch on a thermal? DJI Mini Pro 4 ?? as an example: I ride motorcycles, and I wouldn't recommend a beginner to get an expensive first bike. Is it the same with drones? Also, you mentioned having more than one drone for work in the field. Is that very common?
Hey guys, I'm going through that Cell Tower Inspection class right now. I am very frustrated by the continued reference to the fact that the client processes the data collected by the drone pilot via the provided "Mission Plan" or "SOP". That presumes the client knows enough about drone capability that makes me wonder why the cell tower owners don't fly themselves...some owners may have no technical capabilities but a telco certainly might.

Towers don’t pay $300-$450 and $900 for guyed wired. Honestly looking at half of that from what I’ve seen and done.
This is an interesting video as it applies to multiple points in my job.
Any mapping and surveying classes coming soon?
Nice lighted logo!
Would the RTK provide the accuracy needed more than GCPs?
