  • This smart young horse has had some good work put in him by his owner, and he's a good-thinking horse. BUT, he really was not comfortable or confident backing out of the trailer.
Watch as I show him the boundaries he can work within, and how he starts to understand what he's being asked and why it's his best option, and making the right choice is nothing for him to feel confused or concerned about.
Disclaimer: working with horses can be dangerous, especially in or near small spaces like a horse trailer, so please work with a professional trainer, specifically if it's a horse you're not familiar with, or take precautions and stay in awareness and read your horse clearly, don't miss a beat.

A great example of the difference between "Make and Let" and "Cause and Allow". The latter being the way you help a horse to think it through versus being forced through it.

I like your calm approach to everything you do with horses and I also like your sense of humor. I cracked up when you said you hoped the horse didn't think you were nuts. Thanks for all of the information I've learned from you.

Hi Dennis! Just wanted to say thank you for all your videos. I'm a recent sub and I'm very much enjoying and getting use out of what you're doing and the info you're putting out here. Very underrated, sir! I wanted to let you know though that your website link that's in the video description isn't working and the Amazon link to your books, isn't working either.

Kind of skittish he’s not used to being trained properly like you train can you train properly? He’s used to doing whatever he was well however, his owner was the owner it’s not poor boys for the way it was to train a horse, she wouldn’t be acting like that he would know your lead with that wrote just my opinion. He’s a very smart horse. He sure don’t like that swing that rope. He might’ve been hit with that route before like that because he is a very smart horse. Just my opinion.
