In an Asian country craving Palusami so since I had an oven, looked up ways to make it in an oven and this steaming method vid helped alot❤ also loved the nostalgic feelings had when seeing your fam enjoy it together...brings back memories of being home (FIJI) coz that's how it's always eaten (in a family gathering).🥰
Palusami is my favorite food (and I am a PALAGI) LOL! 😝 Glad I found your channel. I am going to do a video on authentic Palusami if I can ever find Taro leaves in this neighborhood! :)

Gidday mate, did you know that green lipped mussel have the highest concentrate of anti inflammatory on the face of the earth they process these mussels into tablets and give them to people who have chronic arthritis, I seen a documentary on the tv down here in Oz, where they took 30 elderly people and put them on a course of these tablets and they could hardly use their fingers and other parts of their bodies and within six months they were ball room dancing it was inspiring you have a very special seafood
That's so interesting to know 🤔 I must watch this documentary now 😀
Haha I work for the company that does this lol
@@rutatuoro7640 I seen the documentary on 60 minutes down here in Australia about 8years ago it was very interesting ,I also suffer from gout and arthritis but have not used the tablets yet if I need something stronger I will put myself on a course
This is truly fascinating I’ll b hunting down that doco too-appreciate your post so informative and really interests me👍🏽

How you stop the sore itchy throat uce
Prep them like I did in the video- they reckon most of the itchiness comes from the stalk and middle vein of the leaf👍🏽👍🏽
Aloha, that was a great video. The mussle with coconut cream and onions sounds interesting, I will have to try that recipe. I am a laulau maker, learned from a grand uncle, who made thee best laulau hands down. I've got a couple of tips for you, first 1, maybe you should try to steam your laulau, in a steamer. I cook my laulau's about 4 and a half to 5 hours. Second tip, if you can find pork belly fat, the belly flats cut 2 inch by 2 inch pieces, and season them salt and pepper and add that to your laulau, that ensures your laulau has really good flavor, stays moist after cooking, but if you have to freeze them, when you reheat them they won't dry out. And as for Butterfish, I don't put any Butterfish, cause uts expensive and not everyone eats Butterfish and I get a little offended when they waste it, mahalo for the awsome video, but mostly the mussle recipe. Again mahalo, and Aloha
So sorry brother, just discovering a held for review comment section I didn’t even know we had- thank you so much for these awesome tips- just reading with wifey- love you took the time to write this will try your tips next time we’re making some thank you so much alofa aku from us here in Auckland NZ
