Saying goodbye to the 80's was one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my entire life. I guess I can take solace in the fact that I spent my entire teenage life in that time before I enlisted. No other decade will ever come close to 80's.
I was born in 1980 which meant i was not even in my teens when the greatest decade in human civilisation ended. But i have great memories...the souvenirs remain !!!

In '86 I bought myself a brand new cherry-red Trans-Am and drove all over, playing this and other tunes to just...escape for awhile. I drove and drove, putting over 230,000 miles on her until she died at age 22. What music....! What a car....! And what a time.....
I have listened to Crockett's theme since the eighties, teaching scuba students to dive and explore the underwater environment or working out; I never get tired of it.

Crockett and Tubbs were the definition of "Cool" The rest of the cast of Miami Vice were sexy, as well as, the locations, colors and of course, the music! The 80's were the best, America was still optimistic and tolerance. Wish I could say the same about today.
