Thank you Jo❤, this is my favorite quilt show. When you mentioned today that you use cotton sheets for backing, my heart did a flip. I thought I was the only one, being Canadian our quilting fabric is so expensive, compared to the US. I can't fathom spending $60-80.on a back knowbody will see. I'd rather spend the money on a new quilt top. Thank you again, you made my day.❤❤❤
Thank you Jo! I love how real you are and the knowledge you have to share with new and old quilters. I too am not scared of sheets. I also have some VIP fabrics that were proudly bought at Cloth World once upon a time before quilt shops were born.
Yay you are back! I've missed your sew with jo! videos. You are such a joy to listen to while I quilt. Thank you for letting us be a part of your life.
I just found you’re video today. I just love to listen to you and see your ideas! I’m enjoying all videos looking forward to watching more!Praying for you to return to good health.
Great to see another video. Your hints and advice always give me ideas and many I have adopted. Thank you! This is going to be a nice quilt. Using sheets is a great way to repurpose them. Take care of yourself. Blessing going your way.
I’m so excited to see you back on UA-cam and so happy you are doing well! I’m originally from Dubuque! I was born and raised there and currently live in Arizona! I usually make it back to the area once or twice a year and will definitely check out the Cotton Cabin on my next trip! I love your channel and have gone back and watched nearly of your videos! I’m looking forward to seeing your finished checkers quilt!💞😊
Jo - I have a budget, too, and use sheets for backings. Also use 100% cotton shower curtains for backings. Wish my local thrift shops had prices as good as yours!
I've been reading your blog, and really enjoy your videos too! I sew like you, not a pinner, several things at once, and snow day sewing. I'm in the Pacific northwest and we have had some strong weather this week. 🙂
It might be easier for you to sew a white-dark-white unit between each of the 9-patch units you've already sewn rather than sewing 9-patch units with white blocks in the corners.
Jo, I just watched your videos on using shirts to make a quilt. My dad recently died and I want to make a quilt with his plaid shirts. I bought the Bonnie Hunter quilt book and am ready to cut them up using your tutorial. Some of the shirts have some polyester in them, but I really want to use them anyway. Are there any issues with using them? Thanks.

I was just thinking about how much I have missed you! Hi Jo!!
I enjoyed watching you sew and "visiting" while I sat and did some hand quilting. Hand quilting is my new year goal. So far so good!
Glad you’re back Jo
Sure have missed you doing your video and new project. Glad you’re doing good.

So good to see you again Jo!
The lighting on this video is soooo much better!
So glad to see you back on UA-cam! Looking forward to the next time!
I have used sheets for backing to quilts. Thrift shops have shirting and sheets at decent prices.
I like haphazard. This is the way I work but have often been called “flighty”. Thanks for the info.
Welcome back! So nice to see you and send some time with you ❤

Thank you for a very enjoyable video. Good wishes for your health.
I'm happy your back on youtube. Take care Jo
I'm 13 mile E of Ocala Florida. I have been binge watching your video's.
I use sheets as well… I get cotton sheets from thrift stores.
Hurray, you’re BACK !!!
Sheets are awesome. Like you said, Jo, medium thread count is the key.
Bless you. I love your videos.
✌love and positivity!
Hey Jo. Good to see you. ❤
My favorite ❤❤❤❤ thank you
All you need to do is make light card light and join two of your existing dark light dark into a 3x7 unit.

You have a job outside of your home, now? Is that why I haven’t seen you? Good to see you. Stay nice and warm.
I have missed seeing you.
I have the same kind of haphazard ways with making units and blocks without counting.

Where have you been girl?
Your daughter can go into your computer with the remote access to do your videos if need be.
