I've been using Samsung SSDs since day 1, they are super reliable and I haven't had a single one fail yet *knock on wood* Just recently updated to the 970 EVO+ for my laptop and desktop
It is very rare for SSD to fail before it reaches it's rated TWD.
But their performance goes down overtime. It's noticeable too.

HDD and SSD are the two storage options for your 🖥 or 💻. You may go for either one but SSD is far better and faster as compared to HDD. Being better, SSD cost more than HDD. Samsung SSD are considered best in class.

@@beenboyage yeah it will make starting windows and programs faster. A big and noticeable difference. With hdd Spotify took me like 25 seconds to start if I did it after boot. And now maybe 5. I got the 860 because this new one didn't exist but they are pretty similar in performance I think but new one better by a bit I guess

as if HDDs are dead, first they are much cheaper, and secondly, when you write large files to the SSD, it will work in a minute at a speed of about 50 megabytes per second, and the HDD will always be around 140
I bought the 860 EVO 240GB for my old laptop a year ago and I must admit that this is truly an upgrade I'd never regret. Also with the RAPID mode enabled on the Samsung Magician App, my SSD could reach a whopping 3000 MB/S internal read speed, even though it was bottlenecked with the SATA III interface which only have a maximum speed of 5 Gb/S
RAPID is Ram caching if your PC loses power the data is gone

But doesn’t include a micro USB port for use as an external drive with a basic cable...
The screwed up big something so simple was missed
@@commanderoof4578 Its internal SATA SSD dummy, its not meant to for external use.
@@teemuvesala9575 there are plenty of m.2 SATA to SATA 3 with USB micro-b as a self contained external drive adapter as well as internal
Its still stupid how Samsung does not include a self contained SATA to USB it would be a cool feature to have but they are too stupid to add it
Its best to get a SATA m.2 and SATA m.2 to SATA 3 + USB micro-B adapter, instead of a SATA 3 drive and a SATA 3 to USB adapter
because 1 takes the normal 2.5inch 7-9mm size + cable
The other is the 2.5inch 7-9mm SSD + cable + adapter (be it full enclosure or slim adapter)
Would rather buy a western digital FireCuda and Sabrent m.2 to SATA + Micro-B adapter than a straight up SATA 3 SSD
