I think the title is a bit misleading because this talks about how many layers do you need per object, like your main character for example, to achieve a certain effect...which is a bit strange seeing as the different brushes and colours can be layered very easily on one layer.... I wanted to know, how many layers do I need in terms of: should the character's clothes be on one layer, but his skin be on another? Like in terms of colouring line art. If I have a row of jars, for example, should each be on its own layer or is that excessive? or does this just depend on whether the jars are a main focus of the painting or not?
