I had no idea what "Immersiplay" was when I first started watching this video, but as soon as it started up and you saw the fallen dreg crawl up the pipe I immediately understood what you were going for. Back when I was 14-16 playing Destiny for the first few times, I used to walk around just like this roleplaying my character and "reacting" while making up a script in my mind, dialogue off. I still have some of the old videos I made. This is awesome to see that method of play truly realized with so many voices and characters!!

This actually is so interesting because like, A cinematic telling of story missions and of the plots, fireteams? You don’t even have to necessarily be restricted by one POV either. This is so dope.
Having our guardian talk _during_ gameplay and having a back and forth with ghost goes such a long way to making them more endearing. Hops we get more of this!
As someone who started playing Destiny for the first time last season, I would have given anything for a ghost like this to fill me in. I learned more about D2 lore/backstory from watching this one video than the game has ever given me. Gorgeously produced!
yeah the game has really been short of the ghost interactions I believe they should have done a lot more and then made it a on and off option to have ghost friend put on or not
And the guardian doesn’t speak too much. Not that I mind but like when we do the story, he speaks. But after that, nope. It’s actually refreshing to hear the UA-camr personating the guardian. I like that.
The sad thing is, if you were new to playing Destiny 2 vanilla campaign, you would have gotten a lot more dialog like this because they heavily emphasized new player on boarding and veteran player interactions. Now not so much, but they still do the veteran dialog branches.

The coolest thing about this is that while it is a great story about a guardian coming to life, it is also a story about the players starting their journey with the game. This is how we all felt, being brought into a strange new world. Secrets around every corner, discovering the world as we explored and played through it. Meeting friends along the way that helped shape that world into something even grander. This video brought up some great memories that I dearly miss while improving on the original concept with character building and true RPG style storytelling. It’s incredible. Incredible job, truly, congratulations on the final product and the video of the week. And of course thank you, for bringing me back to those days.

This is the first time I've bought a UA-cam Channel membership, because I am absolutely floored by this TV-Series level of production quality. I am beyond eager to see more episodes here, because you got yourself a subscription and a thumbs up. Beyond excited to see how Destiny's true story can be told, and what it would look like in a perfect in-game representation (although I know you said it could never realistically be like this, you have to account for player behavior), but man a guy can dream!
For a long time I've never been able to put into words my first time playing Destiny and throughout the years playing this game whether solo or with friends the story the gameplay and community have continued to leave me speechless. But now I can say without a doubt in my mind that I love this game and everything it and it's fans have to offer!!!
I absolutely effing loved this as a Destiny veteran I immediately just loved and enjoyed the first chapter it gave nostalgia of playing back at launch and had the somewhat similar role play I did when it all started (even in beta xD). Only thing I’ll say is how the heck did those guardians who seen their fair share of experience never fought a walker before….earth of all places. Not a nit pick or complain just thought it was funny to see lol
I think this just further reinforces that the silent protagonist stigma that most games follow doesn't need to be set in place. Hearing our guardian speak with ghost and interact with the environment helps to flesh out the world way more than most could imagine. I really really hope Bungie watches this and draws inspiration for their future TV show(s)/Movie(s).
God this is so amazing, I’ve been such a fan of the lore for all 7 years. I’m so happy to see the start of a phenomenal series made in destiny’s universe. Please, keep up the good work.
This just blew me away, I have been part of Destiny since October 2014 I played that original intro so many years ago, and this was just something else, I really wish this was the intro. Great job to everyone who worked on this, it’s phenomenal
The beautiful cinematography and voice work aside, something about how normal this character feels seems like something that’s missing from a lot of fiction nowadays. Brilliantly done. Wish there was more to check out.
I can tell how long you've been working on this by the fact I saw a white ammo brick on the ground alone. That kind of dedication is pretty damn impressive
Wow, absolutely terrific, well done. This perfectly encapsulates the feelings of those first moments of waking up all those years ago. Dialogue wasn't too campy or goofy but not overly serious either. Looking forward to seeing more of this.
This video has been sitting in my "watch later" playlist since I saw it on reddit more that a year, and I finally decided to give it a shot. And by god what a shot it was! This is absolutely fantastic. I cannot wait for future episodes.
Can I just say… this almost makes me emotional. I love Destiny and it’s story; even though it wasn’t well done back then. Just the music, the acting, the effects, the script… everything feels like a labor of love. It takes me back to those days in high school getting hype for the new Bungie game… Making my warlock, waking up and being so….. in awe. The fact the words coming from Solas are EXACTLY what I remember saying to myself is just so fantastic. I’ll be watching every episode…
I almost have no words to describe this. It is an amazing piece of work that follows the game closely and fits well in while having something unique to it. Definitely looking forward to Episode 2.
Gage. I woke up to find your post on Reddit, and I just have to thank you. First of all, when Vero coughs and it echoes when he first walks into the warehouse, is simply brilliant; the attention to detail is superb. Second, the battle scene was absolutely amazing; the work you did brought true, believable emotion and movement to that scene. The creativity and love on display here is nothing short of amazing. Finally, I must admit that during Vero’s discovery of his light growing, I was overcome with emotion and started to cry. Destiny means a lot to me; after I finally quit a 10-year heroin/painkiller addiction, I found Destiny and it was there for me. Destiny helped me stay sober during that first, tough year. I spent a long time living one way, and then I woke up to a different world that I needed to face without the drug I depended on; I was starting new. You gave a real voice to the beginning of an uncertain journey with this show, and it hit a spot in my heart that overwhelmed me. I’m now 5 years clean, have a family, a fiancé, a house, and a little kitty named Elsie, after the Stranger, because as a kitten she found me next to my car after my tough battle and gave me hope. Destiny means a lot to me, and I can’t thank you enough for making this. You have a fan for life.
Immersiplay? Finally... A term for the gameplay I like, that I can get behind and support. Please tell me you've continued, because this is the kind of stuff I edit myself, and look for in other channels!
This was extremely well done! Despite having seen this mission many times over the years, the awesome voice acting and cinematic quality kept me totally engaged. It felt like a more fleshed out extension of the nostalgic beginning every guardian experiences, with little extra details to bring your specific Hunter to life. It's stuff like this that makes me really wish for more RPG style elements in game. I'd love to be able to play my Warlock with the personality I always imagined him having. I'm glad you get to share Solas in your own creative way!
I went in excited and ended up getting emotional. I can feel the passion put into this, well done! I never knew how much of what I just watched I needed to see come to life, hour after hour of me making stories inside my own head while running through the various strikes and story beats in this beautiful world. From a fan who also likes to take it slow, thank you.
I played Destiny when it came out in 2014, now I am able to watch a series that goes through the story I love with depth and emotion for the Guardian. I look forward to watching this series in full
This is amazing! amazing voice work from everyone, the attention to detail such as the HUD for exos are a nice touch. The scriptwriting as well and it's amazing how you guys encapsulate the feeling of being a new Guardian, not knowing what to do. Amazing work, excited to see or even contribute to your future endeavors
This was absolutely incredible. gave me chills and goosebumps, and still captured the awe I had when I first started playing Destiny years ago. I love to imagine my guardian on his own adventures. This just enables that imagination to run further. Thanks for this awesome vid, I can't wait to see more in the future!
This is beautiful. To me, destiny’s lore always was the perfect fusion between sci-fi and fantasy and you captured that feeling nicely. Please give me more OR ELSE… I am going to be sad
It never occured to me how difficult this would be, with all of these random factors that an MMO like Destiny brings. Well done not just making a nostalgic story, but crafting it around the elements of the game
Damn, this is really impressive. I really like the revamped beginning, something much smaller than just waking up from being dead and killing the Second Highest Rank of Fallen. Just, helping a more experienced fireteam out with intel that happened to be found. I really like it
Please please please make this series continue, this is the storytelling that does great justice to the Destiny universe. This sucked me in so intently. Great work!
Destiny has lost itself, but you...you brought it back. I've had goosebumps watching the scene where the Ghost wakes you, I haven't had this feeling in a long time. Thank you so much for this, don't stop please! I need to see more of it.
It will be interesting to see the contrast between Vero and someone who has been a guardian since Destiny 1. Seeing his more cautious and inexperienced reactions to the world after the collapse compared to someone who is very fast-paced and experienced.
This was AMAZING! I saw the link off of reddit and just now got around to watching. I cried a bit too?? It was so immersive and I felt like I was there. Can't wait for more of this! I hope your channel blows all the way up with tons of followers! You deserve all the success 💛💙💚
This was absolutely beautiful, enjoyed every second. You really captured what it means to be a guardian. This is one of the best destiny 2 videos I have ever seen, extremely well done.
This is what I've always wanted playing a game to be like, you can get some of the way with no hud and roleplay but full-on editing and custom story and voices just makes it incredible. this feels studio quality! incredible jobs guys, it's an instant sub from me!
When that dreg jumped down and ambushed him and he panic knifed it, this was the exact same moment of emotion I felt tied to this character when I first started playing D1 at launch. The audio quality of the voice acting, the scene alone of when he popped golden gun for the first time, the resounding echo effect of his scream was fantastic. When he left the wall and ran into the other fireteam fighting the tank though, the comm chatter filled with panic and gunfire, BLEW ME AWAY even MORE with the work put into this cinematography. This was beautifully well done! Give us more!
Man, this is awesome! This is what Destiny needs. This elevates destiny to the fullest of its potential. How can we help you guys and gals make more of this? Let me help please. I love this
I love love love the addition of a guardian that guides the new light, it just makes so much sense that guardians would so eagerly "adopt" new lights as their mentors
This is amazing! I'm hoping the Bungie teams sees this and takes notes on how campaigns should be in the future. I wish there was actual conversation between our Ghosts and our player characters!
My favorites were the coordination and the "fuck! Why do they keep doing that?" (Referring to the Fallen scaring the New Light). Like I wish that was the game we got, someone who just got rez'd would have been cussing a lot out of sheer panic and bewilderment. Very immersive and realistic. Can't wait for next episode. Bungie should take pointers from you on how to have dialogue and banter in the storyline.
This is incredible! The attention to detail in audio, storytelling and environment blows my mind. Can't wait to see future episodes!

Only thing I’ll say is how the heck did those guardians who seen their fair share of experience never fought a walker before….earth of all places. Not a nit pick or complain just thought it was funny to see lol
If you notice some of them had new light armor where the one warlock had armor from curse of osiris and some exotics
This was fucking AMAZING and has the exact feel I think a Destiny Movie should have. 10/10 Impressed beyond words
God this is so amazing, I’ve been such a fan of the lore for all 7 years. I’m so happy to see the start of a phenomenal series made in destiny’s universe. Please, keep up the good work.
how is this so good!? now destiny has high expectations for when they get their own tv things. already biting my nails waiting for the next one
im hooked. This is everything I kind of wanted out of a destiny film. The immersion is just the cherry on top.
I’ve only watched a few mins and was blew away, am gonna treat this like a TV series and put it on the TV to watch the rest
I'm gonna cast it to my chromecast for the rest of them. Treat it with the movie treatment!
Incredible. This reminds me a whole lot like those old “X’s Mind” series Freeman’s, Chell’s, and so on! Awesome work! And I can’t wait to see more.
This is absolutely incredible, i'm hyped for what's coming next.
I really hope this story includes raids. All the raids are a rife with amazing story opportunities.
Chills when he arrived to The City. This is why I love this community, this is why I love this game.
If they, bungie/Sony, get around to making a show, this is EXACTLY how it should start!
Well done! VERY impressive voice acting!
I look forward to watching this series in full
this was unbelievable, holy shit I want to watch the episode 2 right now
This incredibly well edited I loved the echo that happened when you went into the wall first, can't wait for more. Keep it up
This it the destiny tv show we never got. Just incredible, the wa everything flows, the voice actors, everything.
Please give me more OR ELSE…
I am going to be sad
It never occured to me how difficult this would be, with all of these random factors that an MMO like Destiny brings. Well done not just making a nostalgic story, but crafting it around the elements of the game
I wish a saw this sooner. This deserves movie of the week. Hella amazing please more
Damn, this is really impressive.
Great work!
this is awesome! I really hope this catches on in the community. the voices are superb, and the editing is really nice.
Destiny has lost itself, but you...you brought it back. I've had goosebumps watching the scene where the Ghost wakes you, I haven't had this feeling in a long time.
Thank you so much for this, don't stop please! I need to see more of it.
God I want a destiny show so bad. Good work!
It will be interesting to see the contrast between Vero and someone who has been a guardian since Destiny 1. Seeing his more cautious and inexperienced reactions to the world after the collapse compared to someone who is very fast-paced and experienced.
This is amazing. And you can really tell how long it took by the fact that white bricks were still a thing.
That was just so incredibly amazing I don't even know what to say other than WOW. I can't even explain how excited I am for episode 2!
Give us more!
this makes me want a destiny TV show, absolutely excellent work
This was stunning. Lots of nostalgia and chills all the way. This could easily be one of the best series I would love to watch in the future.
This my man! Omg I enjoyed every minute! Please make more videos, I will keep watching them :D
Man, this is awesome! This is what Destiny needs. This elevates destiny to the fullest of its potential. How can we help you guys and gals make more of this? Let me help please. I love this
So happy I found this! Well done!
That was awesome video. Can't wait see more episodes.
I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS I HOPE THE SERIES WILL NEVER STOP
I'm amazed by the quality of this and can't wait for episode 2
The anticipation of ep 2 is absolutely killing me, this is so GOOD 👍
