The Power of Time Remapping | After Effects Tutorial

- In this tutorial I show you how using time remapping in After Effects can make animations easier and quicker to produce.
A lot of time can be spent tweaking and finessing animation timing, especially when you have a lot of keyframes to deal with.
For certain animations, keeping all your timing linear, and then precomping and using time remapping can save a huge amount of time. It can also give greater control over that timing, as you’re not limited to the speed graph, such as when you animate mask paths.
It can make looping animations easy, and also opens up a whole world of possibility with expressions. So you can achieve results with hundreds of precomps which would be near impossible otherwise.

Your work is top drawer mate. Thank you.
Thank you!
Awesome tutorial - will definitely be using this in future projects!
Hope it helps
Very insightful tutorial. Subscribed!
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial Adam! I came across the teaser for this tutorial on your LinkedIn 🙌🏾
You're welcome. Hope it's useful!
Thanks Legend
Well, gosh ...
OMG. So much easier than hand to hand combat with Speed editor! My forehead is well slapped.🥳
I love it. As you can probably tell
wow, i knew the must be some better way :D, TIME REMAPPING FOR THE WIN!
You're so underrated man
That's what I keep telling strangers in the street
very cool tut!
Thanks!
@@TheVideoShopLondon Yeah. I really like your tuts. Very instructive, to the point. However I must say (as non-native speaker): I have to pause regularly because of your tempo, and, maybe, maybe, your articulation could be more..defined!
@@jochemvanderheide I hear you. Will try to slow down and make it easier for non-English viewers to understand. Promise!
Also, the editing is great
Thanks! That's the fun part
When you click on stuff, it creates a sonic / signal / satellite wave kind of effect that emanates from your cursor, and the screen darkens to focus on that effect. I'm wondering what software you use to do that, or if you do it in post production
No software that's a graphic I add myself in the editing process to make things clearer for people : )
