- This is the best trailer ever! I grew up with these films featured in the promo. These movies inspired me to be a filmmaker, and more than that, they solidified my never-ending love and passion for movies. Please indulge with me in sweet, unapologetic nostalgia.

I WAS OBSESSED WITH THIS PROMO when I was a kid !! I loved and cherished it and I wish Disney plus would put this promo in HD somewhere on thier platform so I can just rewatch it
Me too. This was featured in the Walt Disney's Adventure Classics promo in the UK since 10th May 1993 and in the Walt Disney's Classic Adventures VHS promo in the UK for Summer 1994.
I wonder who created this awesome music track just out of curiosity. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I am so glad someone had the sense to put this promo on the internet. I remembered it from childhood and went to search for it, thinking "I'm not gonna find it, no one is going to remember that promo".
One is glad to be of service. 😃
I was just thinking about this a few weeks ago and couldn’t get it out of my head.So glad that someone was smart enough to post it on here.Several amazing Disney classics.
I want this slapping theme to be Included in fan-made Disney Plus promos.
Me too.
If you go to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment Clip-On Library
you'll find mention of this tune. It is mentioned as described, the music selected for this ID as catchy and irresistible, especially viewers that grew up with the previously mentioned Disney movies. It was written just for this promo, and that's all that there is.
Kirk Douglas was the man. He was such a badass in 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
He passed away last week at 103.
@@STO_1601 I know it's a sad day in Hollywood.
In my top 5 favorite movies, and its ALL because of him.
Thumbs up if you remember dancing to this music.
There's an old video of me-my face inches from the television-as a kid doing just that.
I danced to this all the time!
TwilightSparkle3562 this music is similar to another promo trailer Disney’s Touchstone Home Video used to promote their movies on VHS. The song is the same, but the music (especially the saxophone) sounds different.
I just air-guitared the saxophone part... and nailed it from memory... I'm 31.
I love the music to this.
I love the music. It has such an early 90s sound to it.
Actually it was more of the mid to late 1980's, b/c the Sax. Heavily used during that time, and with the 90's little less of Sax and more electric pianos.
thank God for youtube, for as manipulative as these ads are, they are so fun and nostalgic.
Pynn
same!
I remember seeing this when I first got The Love Bug.
To go in order with the classic films.
1. 0:03, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
2. 0:10, Candleshoe
3. 0:15, In Search of the Castaways
4. 0:18, Kidnapped
5. 0:22, The Love Bug
6. 0:25, The Apple Dumpling Gang
7. 0:28, Freaky Friday
8. 0:33, Old Yeller
9. 0:37, The Parent Trap
10. 0:40, The Story of Robin Hood
11. 0:44, The Three Lives of Thomasina
12. 0:49, Treasure Island
Yep
I had The Parent Trap (VHS) (1961), Freaky Friday (1976) (VHS) and Pollyanna (1960) (Laserdisc)
I also own the Freaky Friday (1976-2018) 3-Movie Collection on DVD which lacks the 1995 TV movie with Shelley Long and Gaby Hoffmann
What's funny Is there are clips from one's that are not part of the collection but from other studio Disney movies.
@@Radicalbeast
I know that
I've seen all these movies.
@@CartoonPhreak Growing up, we had 20,000 Leagues, Parent Trap and Old Yeller from this list. We also had both Davy Crockett's, Swiss Family Robinson and Escape to Witch Mountain... man what a time it was!
I’m getting serious “Wake me Up Before you Go Go” vibes here. Still, really catchy, probably a piece of library music
We made a drinking game with the whole collection where one of the rules is drinking when one of the scenes in this trailer is played with the movie
Love this one! I had my first job back in 1990, and when these came out I was buying two a week for a month and a half! So loved the look of 'em all on my video shelf!
The music is catchy, I like to dance to it whenever I watch "Old Yeller".
I love the 80s and 90s style tune!
Nostalga hits hard here. Litteraly felt like pulling up 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea on Disney+ and just remembering that even to this day how amazing of a movie it is. Then I remembered the Film Collection Trailer that was on the VHS everytime I watched 20,000 Leagues. Holy Crap its a great night!
*sigh* Back when Disney was legit. Just completely fun and exciting!
I have been looking for this trailer for so long... brings back so many memories! holy cow, I FOUND IT!!!!
Anyone else made this their ringtone yet?
Me
Trying to make it mine.
I did
You bet!
The VHS movie I had with this was The Parent Trap. And for the longest time I couldn’t get this tune out of my head.Still think it’s a great promo that would be great for all fantastic Disney movies. It definitely deserves to be a part of Disney classics.
Mine was the love bug...
The music is catchy, I like to dance to it whenever I watch "Old Yeller". I love this "Old Yeller" in gold letters at 0:33, in the "Classic Action", it shows my favorite part when Yeller fights the bear at 0:56.
Thank you, God! I was looking for exactly this trailer. K97cross, you are awesome. I really needed to hear this insanely catchy music tonight. Years back, I wore out my VHS of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea listening to it. :)
@purplebearseatcandy same here! My brother and I used to watch Old Yeller and rewind the tape just to hear this song! Awesome memories!
Oh boy! this brings back so many childhood memories, thank you for uploading this.
I love the light sweep animation on all the titles in this preview, with the black and blue gradient in the background!
This trailer theme is an absolute banger.
love the music!
Love this. I grew up seeing this little trailer before Robin Hood and Love Bug and Kidnapped and Treasure Island and Darby O'Gill on VHS. My dad brought me up on the good stuff, God am I thankful. These films are real entertainment. Thanks for uploading and bringing back memories!
The glory days of Disney(animation and live action) ended in the early 2010s
TWELVE years ago?! I like that this guy knew the SECOND he heard of UA-cam: “Ooh, a public video platform! I know one of the FIRST things I’m putting up!”
Thank you! 😆
I remember this trailer. I've seen 11/12 of these films. I still have 5 of these films on VHS.
This promo was from 1991 or 92 most of these films were later repackaged under the Walt Disney Family Film Collection label that promo is on youtube as well.
Sounded like "Footloose"!
It is very Footloose-y.
I wake up from a dead sleep with this in my head, scour UA-cam for ten minutes, positive I won't find it....
This brought me back! Wow!
In the "Classic Action", it shows my favorite part when Yeller fights the bear at 0:56.
I saw that trailer on that particular VHS release of "The Love Bug".
Same here!
Me too...
Still rocking in 2020.
I'll remember this from renting "The Love Bug" from a video store more than 20 years ago!
I remember this from renting The Apple Dumpling Gang on VHS.
Pure Nostalgia!
OH man does this take me back! Early 90's, watching my VHS of The Love Bug over and over and over and over.
I just got Freaky Friday (one of the 12 movies in the "Walt Disney's Studio Film Collection" series) off of Amazon a few days ago.
It's okay. Let's just agree Disney is great in many ways. From the classics to today.
I love this promo when i still have old yeller on vhs and i have this promo on the vhs tape of old yeller
Have all these on vhs, all still in the original paper/carboard boxes
My childhood wow!!!!
This is a GREAT song
I remember it well... very catchy music. I always wanted to make a promo of movies of my choice

10. The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1974) or The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958)
11. Labyrinth (1986)
12. Rise of the Guardians (2012)
There was a toughness about the whole thing besides the comedy clips. Seeing Robin Hood swinging and kicking then swing around the tree with his knife I always thought was tough, Kirk Douglas and James masons throwing harpoons in 20k leagues, long john silvers grin and wild eyed looks when he’s about to shoot or threaten to kill jim Hawkins. Each little clip made me want to see the movies and as time went by I finally did.
There was a sense real defense against evil, a formidable danger, aimed toward young audiences, respecting their growing minds. These movies didn’t dumb down themes and adult character actions to sell tickets. They portrayed reality, heightened and fantastical, but real.
@@KyleCorwith nobody knows how to make good movies no more thanks for the video
YES!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! GOSH FINALLY!!!
I LOVED these movies!!! Seen all of them! hehe
I have "The Love Bug", "Old Yeller" and "The Parent Trap" at home. I also rented "20,000 Leagues", "Candleshoe", "Castaways", and "Freaky Friday" from Netflix.
This is a classic when movies were better back then I just got dond watching the apple dumpling gang for the first time yesterday with my dad he has the sequel to the apple dumpling gang rides again
I love it ! so classic, I remembe my uncle gave me old yeller on video..these were the previews..and it makes me happy feeling :D thank you
I always loved seeing this on the previews of my Old Yeller VHS. I even did a book report on Old Yeller in 8th Grade for Language Arts class.
Did you get an A or B?
@@elizabethramirezsierra3700 I don't really recall. But if I were to guess I think I got an B
this brought me back hard!
perfect Nostalgia
This is my ringtone, from @00:53 on. Gotta love it
Nice! I remember seeing two or three of these when I was younger.
Loved this
I remember seeing this promo as a teenager in the mid 2010s.
My post-childhood memory
There are 5 Herbie feature films: The Love Bug, Monte Carlo, Bananas, Fully Loaded (with Lindsay Lohan) and some other film I forgot the name of. Also, Lohan did star in the Freaky Friday 2003 remake. Such a Cute Movie from Walt Disney Pictures.
It's Such A Catchy Promo Theme Song.
Thanks for the trailer! I remembered it from my Apple Dumpling Gang (Walt Disney's Studio Film Collection version) VHS! ;)
thank you for uploading this!!!!!!
Always loved this music!
I like this "Old Yeller" in gold letters at 0:33.
Thomasina was the VHS I owned that had this before it... used to rewind it just to watch this again to try and remember the names so I could ask my parents to rent them.
see i love the way the movie business was back in the day. it was like "collect them all! wherever videos are sold. it's a lotta fun." and you could walk into any blockbuster and find a little section with all of these movies in it.
now it's like "limited time only. wait for the disney vault. oops... outta stock. must order it online." it's kinda sad.
btw the music in this trailer is beyond awesome
You hit me right in the nostalgia!
@@chapmanstickman A pleasure!
What is this tune? I sent this over the mic to my Shazam app, but it can’t identify it. Same with the Touchstone promo.
Love this trailer especially the music. Touchstone even used it, but the problem is...wth is the name of it, b/c i heard that it was from a soundtrack
Thunder-Wing175 No, dude! That's awesome!!! Let me know if you do find out!
Me as well, I want to know it too.
What is the soundtrack!!! 😍😎😄
4 years and our thirst for knowledge goes unquenched. Dang...
rambo8000 i will do that
that song i may have known where it came from but not sure where though.
I went to the video store inside the Quakertown Market and I bought my all-time favorite film when I was a kid, "Old Yeller".
I love Old Yeller. I watched it all the time as a kid.
Kaleb B.
Well, I know one thing, I never get tired of my favorite part is when Yeller saved Arliss from the protective mother bear.
That and when Yeller busted Rose the cow, those are my favorite parts.
Kaleb B.
What a coincidence, that's my favorite part, too! :-) There's Also my other favorite parts are when Yeller fought the wild boars off to save Travis and the part when Yeller saved Katie and Lisbeth from the wolf, that was awesome. Old Yeller's the bravest dog in the west.
Seems we both agree on our favorite parts. The worst part is when Yeller has to die. But in the end there is always a happy ending.
Wish half of these movies were on Disney+
So much fun!
what is the music called that is playiing?
I love to watch this to listen to the song. I just wish I knew the song name, and if it can be found.
It's just music written and recorded for the trailer itself. We may never know who wrote it.
wish this song could be 5 minutes long.
0:06 Kirk Douglas!
Yep... R.I.P 😢
@@dennisdrozdov1424 he was 103 years old, don't feel bad.
I know. Thanks for reminding me 👍
@@dennisdrozdov1424 you're welcome
That's wonderful
Wasn't there another version of this trailer with different clips? I vaguely remember something about someone swinging onto a ship, someone being chased on a horse-drawn wagon, and someone chained up/locked up in the hold of a sinking ship and being dragged under water while someone else tried to rescue the chained up person. And maybe there was something with a cannon being fired from one ship to another? Are any of these scenes from any of the movies shown in the video above?
I love this music
If only we knew the name of this catchy background music and where to find the full version of it.
I have some of these on VHS and Laserdisc
Pollyanna
Freaky Friday
The Parent Trap

Awesome
@Galutron Me, too. It has a groovin' style for showing classic Disney films.
I've seen all those too and still love them! Treasure Island, wow, Disney did it best. Still love Pollyanna (just watched it today lol) Will always love That Darn Cat too. Oh and The Absent Minded Professor is a good one!
This is on the 1991 VHS release of Old Yeller.
very good music mate
I rented "The Love Bug" once as part of this set.
RIP Kirk Douglas, the star of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea
RIP Brian Keith
RIP Maureen O'Hara
RIP Barbara Harris
epic music
I've got almost all of the classic animated pieces on DVD after some major hunting (Disney did not make it easy for me to get their sort of half movie features during the war times, and anything between Pocahontas to the the beginning of the pixar love affair is hard to find... think atlantas and treasure planet stuff.) Now on to these movies.... which will no doubt be harder to find than the animated pieces....
i've got that same VHS
LET'S GET TOGETHER

What song is that?
One of ya must know what song this is? because I just got to find out!
What that music???
What is the name of the artist who composed it?
