I think the thing is Spooky Action was mostly deeply entangled in the darker and more twisted emotions. The songs were quite contemplative. These new tracks are more poppy and breezy in terms of being great singles

Just listen to Attack of the Grey Lantern in full. It's a marvelous story telling album and showcases the best of Paul and Mansun in my opinion x
