How about IBO speed comparison at each lbs mod, and subsequent arrow weights 400, 450 & up to about 500?
    Thanks for the review!!

I've been browsing videos looking for exactly that. Being left handed, I don't really get to try them out in person within the first year of release.

Mike's Archery is vxr 28 good for beginners?

Thanks for the review. Did you verify the actual draw weight and length? That speed is coming in a good bit higher than IBO. My Triax is shooting the same weight arrow at 284 fps (60 lb, 28" draw). I don't mind bumping up to a 65 so that's looking pretty appealing.

Ling Xu 5 pounds usually gains you around 10 fps if everything else stays the same was faster than i expected i firgured mid 290s on another review i watched he said the 28 shot faster than the 31.5 more the ibo rating suggested

+Ling Xu we did verify the draw length, the bow was maxed out and could have been a couple pounds heavy at most.

That is what it will shoot at 70# he is miss informing you all I have the same bow at the same draw and mine is 70# but actually pulls 73 1/2 pounds and mine shoots 306fps

I own a TX5 and I was wondering if it’s worth getting this new VXR how much better is it if any?

+Julio Fernandez i would say go to a local shop and shoot it and make that call for your self. It’s a great bow but it’s your call on weather it’s worth the step forward.

Mike's Archery I have the same bow it will not shoot 306fps at 65 mine is same draw but at 70# and it actually pulls 731/2 and that is what mine shoots a 400gr arrow at. You either miss read your cheat sheet or you truly know nothing about bows. I'm beating on the later cause you don't even know the name of the bow. VRX lol Haha you are not representing Mathews at all by lieing sorry I just hate when people miss inform others

What advantages would I be gaining by getting the 28” axle to axle rather than the 31.5”? Is it really that big of a difference or is it just more personal preference?

when you're in a ground blind. my bow has 33" ATA and clearance was very tight in the blind i used. i had to shoot in an uncomfortable position. some may need a few extra inches of clearance while in a tree but the ground blind is a more realistic scenario. you will also need the 31.5 if you have a draw length of 30.5-31 because the 28 maxes out at 30. aside from that, it seems as though it's personal preference.
