Metalhead here going from melodic swedish metal to this, getting absolute chills, blown away by the atmosphere and huge SOUNDSCAPES The Jezabels create. Underrated is an understatement. It's because of bands like this being unheard of in so many parts that I believe there are agencies squashing music in some ways so people aren't too self empowered/ rising up to control themselves more. Power is money...... and this music helps to heal that dichotomy for those who see it. Much love to these brilliant self realized artists.

First heard this on a balmy evening in South Australia at a Triple J festival about 12 or 13 years ago. Had never heard of them before. The haunting melodies and voice seemed to roll across the field and just take everyone away. The hairs on my arms stood on end and a tingle ran up my spine. It was pure perfection. I've never had such a reaction to a band and their music, and haven't since. These guys are/ were something special. I mourn the fact they've not made it bigger than they have. They were followed by Art vs Science before the headline, which was the most insane juxtaposition, but it worked. Bought both bands albums after.
Absolutely love The Jezabels and love this song, but bizarrely after 10 years this is the first time I’ve ever seen this video. It doesn’t matter, the song is still magnificent.
This song is so hypnotic, with a film slip that is so simple, yet so elegant. I usually don't listen to the radio at work, except one day I did, and tuned to triple J. Heard this song, didn't know who it was, and went on a frenzied search of youtube, and triplej to find out what it was. This is now arguably, one of my favourite songs.

Nik Kaloper is an Amazing Drummer :) When I listen to their songs I am always blown away by his style and interpretation. So classy and original. Just beautiful rhythmic compositions.

But that night you guys opened and blew my mind. The first and only time I have seen an opening band like you blow me away and I had to instantly go and buy your album and get a t-shirt. Simply amazing. If PJ Harvey had written that song it would sell over a million copies and even PJ could not perform it better. The Aus music scene is in a strong position if the Jezzabels can't win a J award.

To round it out, they have two rad dudes bringing everything together. Great show in Toronto, March 11/11... Just wish they played Disco biz-kit lol. Love this band.
