i was driving to mcdonalds..was feeling very sad..and this song came on..a song that seemed to fill me up and had me completely mesmerized ..i didnt want to ever lose this song .thought fk it and asked the girl working in drivethru for a pen to write down the the main lyrics on the back of my cardboard drink tray ..one of the most amazing songs i have heard in a long long time
Just fell in love with this band. This song and Dark Storm are so entrancing. A little over two minutes in and this song becomes so, so amazing. Makes me think a little of Cocorosie and Grimes and Interpol. So beautiful.
Don't know why, but this song reminds me of a woman I once loved, but she didn't love me back. She never carried mace, nor was she ever nervous around people, but this whole song really encapsulates everything about the beautiful soul she was, is and always will be. ❤️
What kind of music is this ? I mean this is almost something like melancholy rock or escaping rock, something that makes you want to fly away and spread peace and love all over the world... Can't describe how I love their music. Beautiful.
I simply cannot stop listening to your songs! I don't know why but there is something about your songs that makes me feel good about the future; it's like I know something good will come up... Am I the only one who feels this way?
i love discovering new bands, i came up9on this from a danny magill video with a jezabels song in it so i searched some of their songs. i love this band.
not one record shop i have been to has this ep... this is why i miss indy record stores! They loved music! The corporations that market music to us now days just like money!
There's a place in the town, a statue, She'd make me wait beneath, But its magnif icent archways, archways, That's where I'd go to weep. I'm right up onto the counter; Showgirl, perfect the slow body-roll. And breakaway from the anger, oh, hoe, Just got to let it all go, But she loves me More than anyone who wouldn't lay a hand. She keeps mace spray, For you can't rely on the common man. That night up under the starlight, Holly, you call, 'the great blistering blue, A strange formation came down from the ceiling, And it began to move. And so the shattering shards of glass fell, And glistened this way and that, But she would say I won't find my way through the plaster I'm an empty hourglass in the sand, But she loves me, More than anyone who wouldn't speak like that. She keeps mace spray, For you can't rely on the common man. But it is alright, Here in the time and the place I am, You leave a light on all night, Just to remind of the place I am.
@bleachy1one If I have interpreted it correctly, the persona of the song is singing about a stripper who she is in love with (and vice versa)... Great song :)
I love this band, and I'll admit to just hearing about them from Danny, but I'll stick with em, cuz her voice is amazing and everything comes together perfectly
This song is still so powerful, 10 years on. I feel the elements from all four corners of the earth convene when that chorus hits.

This song is incredible.
Lots of Kate Bush influence felt with their music. Beautiful, delicate, yet strong.
