    In today's creative embroidery project I (Charles) show you the full process in more depth. With close-up shots and sections in real-time I hope you will be able to get a more comprehensive understanding of how you can embroidery on tulle.
    It's definitely trickier than to embroider on for example a cotton canvas where you don't see the stitches on the backside. Furthermore, the tulle is quite fragile and thus you have to pay attention to not pull the threads too hard to risk creating a hole or similar.
    Considering the transparent property of the tulle I always make full loop stitches in whatever technique that fits a particular element. Full loop stitches can also be considered double-sided stitches as the stitch generally looks the same above as below.
    If you're unsure of what this means you can read this article: charlesandelin.com/embroidery...
    Or check out our free embroidery stitch video library here: charlesandelinacademy.com/p/e...
    Lastly, I used varied Anchor and DMC threads to give a natural variation to the piece.

    How far do you stretch your tule? Because when I release it some of them look loose

    Why do you do it directly on the tulle rather than with a dissolving backing paper? Does it hold better that way?

    How many strands did you use for it? In my experience, I could not use more than 3 strands with tulle

    Can you remove it from the hoop when you’re finished? And possibly put it on a piece of clothing? Or does it have to stay in the hoop?

    • @CharlesElin
      @CharlesElin  3 роки тому

      Yes you can totally do that! There are many possibilities. Actually to put the tulle on a piece of clothes can be a very good idea, like a patchwork!

    Everybody who shows this lace work shows carefully how to start your thread but nobody shows how to finish a thread neatly. Please would you do that?
