Britt Daniel Tele Thinline: In-Depth Look | Artist Signature Series | Fender
/ fender
omg i love spoon and britt, how is this real?!!! thanks fender!
The tele looks gorgeous!!!
I own a few Tele’s and nothing sounds and feels like this one. I can safely downsize. I even lost interest in my strats. The resonance and definition is out of this earth. Very inspiring, super fun to play and great looks.
Gorgeous Tele!!! Love you Fender!!!
The tones here are amazing. Glassy, raw, gnarly, sweet. Loving that guitar, the amp sounds amazing. Never liked Marshalls, this is why
Ok this is a real great one!
Ok, never thought I will ever come to this point but gonna sell my strat am. prof. and go for this one as its sound is incredible and have to admit that there is something charming about the look of the guitar, it's just piece of art. Always been strat guy but I cannot help myself😅
Thanx for really good review, you sold it to me!😎
Always love John's playing. He's probably sold a few of these with this demo.
the thinline has specs that are fantastic very cool Instrument
If one day they make Keith Richards signature for public, I believe it will boom
They can't do that because strings only come in packs of 6.
It would be custom shop model
Hello, awesome guitar! Can you please confirm that it has a ‘no load’ tone control where if you put it on 10 it bypasses the tone controll completely? This spec is not written anywhere but it seemed to have it when I tried the guitar
Best.better than other telecaoter
Is the body routed to accept a P90 or humbucker in the neck position?
To be fair, I haven’t played a wide variety of guitars and I’m not well versed on great but lesser known guitar brands….with that disclaimer aside, this Britt Daniel Series Thinline is the best sounding, tonally diverse American Telecaster I’ve ever heard. Not that $2,300 is cheap, but for the money, this might be the best electric guitar one can own
I've been a Gibson person rocking my LP and ES335 for years now, plenty of fenders have come and gone, but I just discovered this guitar locally and I'm a big Spoon fan. Really feels right and unlike other Fenders I've tried (even the Jimmy Page US Signature tele)
Question for Fender. Those "mini barrel saddles" on the bridge, has Fender ever used those before on any other guitar? They seem very different than the traditional three barrel or more modern saddles that you use?
Yes this is the spec I was most surprised about! Simple but clever idea to keep vintage tone (I guess) AND better string to string intonation! More info please!
What is the first riff he plays?
Might be lacquer but it looks and feels like thick poly, especially the neck. Funny how the headstock is satin finish but they glossed up the neck!
i guess it was the artist's choice? but i have yet to meet a guitarist who prefers a glossy neck over a satin one
My sweaty hands dislike this 🤣
I haven’t had any issues with neck gloss. But my hands don’t sweat all that often - even in a hot bar 🤷🏻♂️🤩
I like the part that goes on the knee to be sharper less round shape. Imo
Can I buy this from Australia without
jumping through hoops?
Maybe get into a roo's pouch and let them do the jumping?
I just managed to get a Tele thinline limited edition green. Only 7 entered Australia. Through David at Guitar Brothers in Brisbane.. He made it happen for me when it was proving impossible!!!
It is really nice guitar, although i wish you could work on your quality check of made in mexico Player Series and Vitera. Squier seems too have much higher quality
whats about the Fender Player series?
What shape neck
I heard the bridge was a custom shop hand wound broadcaster?
Some suggestions about how to get a good sound from a Fender Custom Deluxe Reverb '68 ?
Antonio de Jesús López Alarcón, back your pickups away from the strings a bit. This will smooth out dynamics and frequency response, making for a more musical experience when playing clean.
Just...plug your guitar in and play
@@ebeep This worked a lot, now I can play riffs that I couldn't before!
cuál era el problema con el ampli?
This guitar is so sexy I want it!!!
Isn't that color the same as butterscotch?
It's more yellow/gold but unless side by side, yes.
Where is it made? How much? Can you play anything other than chords on this? Lol. Wonder if it works with single notes.
USA $2000.00
Ash body with lacquer but it looks like a plastic guitar, no grain showing.
Please make a Mexican version ☹️
The way things are going the mex would be 1000$ with taxes
@@codyzwick2753 Just noticed some mex strat in a gig bag was $1300. Not for me it ain't. I bought a 52 reissued for $700. In very good condition.
Neck pickup is muddy!
Lite Suer tele
What is different in this thinline from the others...? Nothing, just a PR.
pickups. Bridge saddles. probably neck shape and fret size. laquer finish (vs poly)
@David Davidson LOL it's single bound.
If you like Thinlines then you wouldn’t want it to be too different than traditional. But the artist chosen custom shop neck pickup and s-1 middle switch feature makes this guitar, imo, sound better than any thinline, or Tele for that matter
@@taterlysaladman9377 yup best sounding guitar I’ve ever owned too
You are not going to sell these playing that crap!
Fender needs to stick to Guitars and Amps. Those are legendary but their pedals sound terrible. Stick to what you're good at.
Idk but I feel like Fender isn’t putting anything good out anymore
Their squier stuff is the best stuff out there for the price rn. There isn't as much innovation anymore
The performer series and the vintera series are pretty dope
@@runeydenejsum6083 yeah, they're cool concepts and I'm glad they're bringing back some cool old designs, but the price feels unjustified. I'd like better stock bridges and tuners, coil split on both pickups, and s1 switches on the standard line. And I also think that stainless steel frets and maybe neck heel truss rod adjustment rods should be on anything above 1200 bucks. Nothing to change the fender formula, but small things for convenience. As for the vintage lines, I think they're fine but it should be a tiny bit cheaper.
They are putting out some killer stuff right now in 2020. Some great necks to keep up with all the boutique builders like Suhr. The elite series are amazing to play.
@@Tangalang22 neck heel truss rod adjustment is convenience? LOL convenient for getting neck and pocket cracks/nicks when bozo's follow internet videos and don't take the strings off before adjusting.
