Hi, my name is Paul Davids! I am a guitar player, teacher, producer, and overall music enthusiast from the Netherlands! I try to inspire people from all over the world with my videos, here on UA-cam.
If you want to know more about me, check out PaulDavidsGuitar.com
Thank you for watching!
Paul - Розваги
It's UA-cam, I should've known. Not saying 'thank you' to the delivery guy, ARROGANT PRICK!
People, the delivery guy is not really a 'delivery guy'. Do you really think I've got 3 camera's in my hallway rolling 24/7 on 120fps to get a shot of me sliding on my socks to open the door in case the doorbell rings? Haha ;) My real delivery guy is my best friend!
Wtf lol, people are really asking that?
Fancy not saying"thank you" to your best friend
@@MisterAndrewBuckley hahahahahaha
It’s so funny people don’t think for one second. No one would deliver without a signature either.
If you get a great guitar it makes you want to play more.
Have you played a Novo. I want to know if they are really that good.
Should have had him dress up and hand you the package , then walk right past you ," here's another one of those things." Push past , and right into the kitchen making a sandwich.
Sometimes I wonder you're a guitarist or a filmmaker. The quality of your videos is oomph. 👌
Guitarena Music he is both.
Right!? The camera and lens setup he has got going alone is over $8k, and he uses the gear so well.
Yes
Guitarena Music ... Paul is a good teacher He make film for less boring.
@@junkheadrooster 1 - wow that's expensive, then
2 - well he can monetize it, and write it off, so
3 - wow that's really inexpensive!
This is inspiring stuff.
Every guitarist somewhere in their heart cant resist the beauty of a telecaster... It has something that i dont understand... Maybe the curves... Maybe the shape.. Its just so beautiful
Right as much as I hate the cut off pick gaurd on most of them I still want one
Charles Koushik just the fucking bluesy sound🔥
Absolutely! They are other worldly!
I agree. teles are great guitars. must haves. I actually agreed 5 times so far. I can't seem to stop buying them.
Maybe after they buy a couple les pauls
Dear Paul,
I'm working at Thomann in the drums department and I was able to watch you there a little bit.
You're an absolutely great sounding musician and your videos are awesome!
Thank you for this good stuff!
StraIzed do you have a referral link to the website that helps you?
Hey man, off topic. I'm a drummer and I consider buying cheap, but decent e-kit. Could you say something about Millennium MPS 850? I don't care that much about sounds in module, as it will be hooked up to pc and drum vst. I'm more interested in how well is this set built? I mean materials and stuff. How reactive it is? Etc etc. Can you tell me your honest opinion? Thank you very much!
@@dariusz_darson_8968 Hey mate, if you want to record drums via midi (vst plugins) this one is a very good choice. The quality is really good if you pay attention to the price.
You will get a good sounding module with great options, a mechanical hihat, 2 crashes and 4 toms as well.
But:
If you want to spend a bit more money, you can check out the Roland TD-17KL drumset. Yes, you dont get that much features like the "real hihat" but the trigger sensitivity is better and there are more options on the module.
Please be kind to each other and have a nice evening. :)
This guitar had such a great feel and the tones were superb, I totally get why you bought it! Miss ya buddy! Hope you are well
Haha, yep! Miss you too mate!
Wow. Absolutely gorgeous. Congrats man! edit: The opening sequence is delightful. Superb editing.
Thanks man :)
I love both you guys.
You are a person with a Gibson 12 string
My buddy and I were drooling over that guitar at Fender’s booth at NAMM. Congrats! It’s a stunner.
I actually feel my heart beat a little faster when I see a just-delivered guitar box!
@Franklin Waters lmao
I prefer the guitar! LOL
that guitar sounds cleaner than my life, congrats man on that beauty.
You just know sometimes! Sounds great and you clearly love this instrument. Congratulations Paul!!
sir, the sheer joy on your face while your playing your new guitar was worth it. I really enjoy when people are that happy. The music you'll make with it will no doubt be great.
What a classic...looks and sounds beautiful. Keep doing what you do, Paul!
Cheers from Canada
Guitar pick on the cat😂😂😂
Haha, I know.. helps me find it again. Good contrast 😅
@@PaulDavids Congratulations on this new guitar.
so good!!
it was the cats idea no doubt
good catch!
stunning guitar and great chops Paul. Love the warm full tone with single coils
The bass sounds are so full and when you started noodling as the top I just had complete stank face. Beautiful.
What an amazing guitar. The beauty inside and out is astronomical
Now at 1.2 million! Paul's success is hard-earned and much deserved. As many will have, I've learned a fair few things from Paul Davids, and I've been playing a long time and am considered a decent player. Along with Asaf Levavy of Lick n' Riff, Rick Beato, and one or two others, Paul is among the creme-de-la-creme of YT guitar teachers/players/musicians.
What a warm, rich sound. Amazing guitar, Paul. I think you bought a killer one.
Congrats brother !.....you deserve it, enjoy and play it in good health....🙏🏻
That thing looks humble but sounds so glorious. Congratulations to a great guitar :)
Paul, you looked almost as happy as I did when my mother brought home my first guitar, a Roy Rogers guitar. :) That is an awesome sounding custom!
Though me being a strat guy, the second you strummed it I fell in love with it, congratulations on the new beauty.Shine on :)
YUKTARTH NAGAR-IB it sounds a lot like a strat in the neck pickup.
0:15 Guitar pick on cat.
That hair on the screen. Everyone thinks its not real. Change it ( whispers )....
Everybody knows, don't pick on the cat... it'll scratch your face open!
Aww, I really caught the hook, tried to wipe the hair out couple of times, just to figure that something ain't right 😂
👍
I had the same experience with my Nocaster Relic. I knew I had to have it within a few minutes of playing it. I wasn't even looking for a new guitar, I just had never played a relic before and she stole my heart. That was 13 years ago and she's still my number one. Some guitars have a soul. Enjoy your new love!
I like that little jam you had at the end of the video. That would be a good quick lesson video.
First seconds of hearing it.. it sounds great and awesome!!!!
You realize this is an electric guitar right? Pick ups don't transmit sound. They transmit physical motion of the strings via electromagnetic interference. How the guitar itself sounds is irrelevant unless played unplugged.
@@Wylie288 ok
Post Rock Mixes sure.....
@@alexaponte6426 You deny physics?
Post Rock Mixes whatever dude I was just trying to leave a nice comment but you ruined it.... thnx
It's so thick and smooth sounding. I love telecasters. Over the years I've tried many other guitars, but always come back to a tele. Congratulations. It's a beautiful guitar.
This vid made me smile. You can hear the hype in your voice of owning this gorgeous axe!
Gefeliciteerd, Paul! It's beautiful. I hope it inspires you in ways you'd never imagine possible.
Wow! Beautiful guitar!!! Just bought a guitar too, a Gibson SJ-200 lovely sound
That has to be the sweetest sounding télé I have ever heard.
I really appreciate your videos. This is one of my favorite YT channels. I just bought a Custom Shop Knotty Pine Thinline 52 Tele. It's an amazing guitar...I can't stop playing it.
Dude YES!!!! Congrats woohooO!
Congratulations 🎉🎊🎈🍾
The level of production is amazing. The camera work alone is already perfection.
That feeling you get when you get a new guitar is my favorite part of being a guitarist. Congrats, Paul! I remember Adam playing it and thinking "It DOES sound great."
Watching this video on a warm afternoon in my backyard, with a cold beer, after work. Going in to play guitar after this video ends 👍🏻
That guitar has soul, and you really know how to speak to it.
@IPA SOLÉ That one certainly does.
Congratulations Paul. I know the feeling very well, when a guitar calls your name and MUST have it.
Congrats Paul! Stunning!
I totally get why you fell in love with it. Looks great, sounds amazing! Congrats man!
Great vid! Sounds amazing! I had a custom shop thin line I almost bought years ago but didn't pull the trigger! Biggest mistake ever!!!
Paul I've never been a tele or start fan but your new guitar sounds fantastic, and your playing shows how much you've connected with it! Congrats and have many happy years with your new guitar!
Simply just BEAUTIFUL
To the Master Luthier who built this guitar: my hat is off. What exquisite tone. Congratulations Paul. You conveyed that feeling of "the one that almost got away" so well.
The way that guitar sounds makes me want to tell you to play the intro to Angel by Jimi Hendrix
Wow! I had chills run down my spine when you stroked that beauty.
Congratulations on the new baby!
That’s probably one of the most beautiful telecasters I’ve ever seen and heard. Great find 😊
Paul, I noticed you said this was based off of a 50s nocaster. but this is probably a reissue of a telecaster from 68-71. thinlines weren't introduced until then and that's exactly what this one looks like, before they added the humbuckers in 72.
Paul, congratulations on your new guitar! It looks and sounds great - hope you have many years of enjoyment with it!
Loved this. Luscious tone. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Paul! Is that riff around 5:46 based on something in particular? I'd love to learn it! Beautiful guitar, by the way. Congrats!
I've never been a fan of the "tele" sound, (or almost all Fenders for that matter) but yes, that is a sweet sounding instrument, and you do it justice.
I like teles with humbuckers or p90s, i guess it's not a tele then lol
Bravo, Paul. What a beauty! Nothing beats a Tele tone & yours sounds beyond amazing, congrats!
I can understand your joy and enthusiasm very well. It's always great to get a good and beautiful guitar that is perfectly built and has that certain something. Your new guitar is a noble, high-quality instrument and sounds fantastic. Have fun with it!
Great sounding guitar! Tabs for the Westworld intro ASAP lol :)
Oh my... Watching you fall in love with that beauty was such a treat ! Happy it went into the right hands my friend :) // Guillaume
Watching him waiting for that guitar was like watching a high school kid waiting for his prom date to show,
you know, that girl that you've dream t about for years but never thought she'd say yes :)
The tone is extremely alive... hard to describe...deep and open... breathy. Congrats!
Amazing quality throughout this, from the editing to the playing 👏🏻
I thought you'd got one of the Gilmour auction guitars when I heard the first chord/saw that fretboard...
David Gilmour didn't play a Thinline-Tele 😀😀
@@alexanderwalther7302 true! I just meant at the beginning before Paul had told/shown us it was a Tele... Unless you meant I should have been able to hear it was a Tele which is probably also true
same
I though it had a very Gilmour-ish sound to it too.
Nice Fat (or is that Phat?) tones.
Hi Novak, happy wednesday. In case your question. I'm not 100% sure, but from any vid or DVD watched from David or Pink Floyd, I'd never seen him playing a Thinline-Tele. Only his blond or sunburst Tele. Have a fine day. Greets Alex 😀🎸
Played something like this when I was in a music store, too... Similar reaction, but not enough money ^^
So congrats on your new axe! Its absolutely stunning!
I'm... I'm not... not jealous... not... I don't... Everythings fine...
Bronco XY Musikraft or Warmoth partscaster. You can basically build one yourself for less than a grand. Get it aged by MJT guitar finishing if you want that roadworn look. Seriously you can build a guitar every bit this good. Just gotta put in some time and effort.
Musikraft actually have the ability to CNC router exact necks based on specific serial numbers from old blackguard telecasters. It’s crazy.
Dude... Your videos are just amazing! Great work man.
Congrats Paul! Nothing like new guitar day! Enjoy!
Oh man watching ur video with Adam i also immediately thought that thing sounds amazing compared to that strandberg. i also was watching it on a smartphone w/o headphones
I hold my breath at 4:26... thought to myself, “wait a minute... that’s my dream guitar...”
I always loved the sound of a telecaster.. that poppy, twangy, bright sound that no other guitar produces truly unique.. now i know why tab benoit loves playing them so much..
Oh the first note feeling......goosebumps right away
I swear when i hear a guitar blind and I really like the tone about 80% of the time it turns out to be a tele. Probably means I should get one...
Well I mean what wouldn't you do for a guitar! Anything should be worth getting, and by all means necessary! Very great and interesting story man!
Absolutely fantastic sound, very warm. Killer tone as always. Congrats on your new guitar!
Dude, I love your videos. I came because of the guitar and I stayed because of the aesthetics AND the guitar. There's something about the way you present that calms my anxiety and massages my brain. Cheers from Siberia!
I can trade you a ibanez RGD61AL-SSB and a kidney of your choosing 😁
I see this bid, only in place of the Ibanez I have an SG that's modded out as a Peter Green tribute, and I raise a lobe of a heavily abuse liver.
I'll give you both my kidneys, 23% of my soul, half an earlobe and 2 shoes, both from different pairs. Please gimme...
I only have a Ibanez gio gax-70 with crappy 2 year old strings and a shot pickup and a pristine liver
How about a Chinese Les Paul, a frontal cortex with high IQ and low EQ, one left hand that's calloused and gorilla strong, and a right eyeball with 20/13 vision (highly valuable).
Lol this comment thread is the best 😂😂
Usually I can't tell guitars apart. This one does "it" even to me...
This video captures one of the best feelings in the world. Congrats, play it in the best of health, and don’t let go of it!
This video is a testament why you should never stop grinding and keep on working your tail off. Congrats to you Paul. Truly a beautiful and magnificent sounding guitar. Yew!
0:15
he meow for snacc
he give you a whac
but most importantly:
he'll protecc a pick on his bac
I honestly can’t tell a lot of guitars apart by sound, but that one sounds noticeably better than the vast majority of what I’ve heard. So much depth, and that bass note just shakes you to the core.
Congratulations Paul.
Congratulations... You should see yourself! You are so happy! That's something you can't buy! AGAIN SO HAPPY FOR YOU PAUL!the positivity can be felt even outside my phone!
I have a similar guitar
My one: fender modern player telecaster thinline deluxe 3 color sunburst
Sounds amazing!!!
I once fell in love with a thin line, I let her get away and I will never see her again 😭
Your playing at the end of the video was phenomenal. Very beautiful!
Great Video, congrats on your new 🎸!
The first G chord you've played somehow reminds me of the beginning from You'll be in my heart by Phil Collins except this is in Fmajor i guess
Oh. That final melody. You can buy CS guitar, but you can't buy that blue feel. Just one thing bothers me - why would you play such sad melody when you bought new guitar?
Beautiful!!!! Congrats!!
Happy new guitar
I knew it was a thinline tele after the second sneak peak, where you could see some of the pickguard and controls. There isn't really any other guitar that looks that way.
Yeah, the pickguard is a Thinline highlight
Beautiful Tele, Paul.
My next guitar is gonna be a custom built Kiesel. Their price & quality is amazing.
I just grabbed a custom Kiesel myself a few months ago. They are insanely good with what you want and what I got was far better than I expected. Mind you it's an 8-string multiscale fan-fretted monster and still it was flawlessly designed and made with love and care.
That smile on your face man! Sooo happy for you!!
Nothing like a new custom shop Fender. Magic instruments
I really thought you were gonna play Welcome Home (Sanitarium) in the beginning there
Wondered why it didn’t sound like a regular Tele. I thought it might have actually been a strat before you presented it 🤭
lovely sound Paul pleased you got it enjoy !!!
Total look of bliss on your face....Now there's a man who appreciates a beautiful instrument....
Nice Tele. Nice cat too. How do they get the fingerboard to have that played in relic look?
That is nice. I was hoping for a Strat though :-)
Congrats Paul
Hi Paul, I hope you got "ex-demo" price as that guitar must have been well worn after Dan, Adam, Pete and the rest had their mitts on it!
