@@Dallin_S Well, for me it happens the other way around. I like so much more the vertical Wallrun in Unity than in any other game in the series for how realistic it is no matter the context. I mean, in ezio and kenway games they just start running onto the wall without any momentum beforehand. At least in Unity it's a nice climbing animation. What I would do is reduce the speed of the Wallrun animation in the Kenway games so it alway look smoother
@@AM-ld7qb If you look at wallruns in real life you'll see why I think Unity wallruns look fake. The classic ACs and Kenways do a much better job in terms of the speed and actual animation
Can’t wait for a AC3 release, Kenway saga has the most fluid-looking parkour, Unity only has flashy animations and overall is more jank. Kenway saga is good blend between new and old and this parkour mod is going to make it peak.
I was wondering that too. The mod description says this on the features list(among others): Disable Wallrun Grab: Disable grabbing on walls after a freerun, allowing you to eject in specific situations Unless I'm misunderstanding too, it seems you're right. And honestly I'm sold. If this was the mod's only feature it'd still be 10/10 lol
Assassin's creed IV: Pirates, Sailing, Thievery, Ninja like movements, great music, Muskets, fantastic combat, great voice acting, and now better parkour? I've been putting this game off for far too long.
No disrespect but this looks like all that was added was quick beam drops and slightly faster side ejects. This video just looks like tou understand the parkour more than most. I was just playing this a few hours ago (vanilla) doing the same types of runs and to me the mod just makes it look faster. Maybe ill give it a try.
@@applerskee I strongly recommend checking the modpage for a full list of added functions, improvements, and inputs. The mod is still in Beta. That being said, there was nothing seriously wrong with the vanilla parkour, so a good parkour mod shouldn't seek to radically change the mechanics anyway. This mod adds some much-desired enhancements that I honestly never though would make it into the game
Is this mod in the same vein as the classic definitive parkour mod? Also what all is added if you don't mind me asking I see the swings and hangs are different. Great runs btw!
@@Zikuto_ Thank you! Yes it is similar to the classic definitive parkour mods... made by the same person. Besides what you mentioned they also added altair vaults and improved the kenway vaulting, added a wallrun grab override and more

we have to admit that unity parkour concept is the best but it truly shines when it combines ezio and kenway games faster and smoother animation
@@alexyang3636 I do love unity animations though, with the exception of the silly vert wallrun animations

@@hotch4421 Oh for sure. With the mod it's soooo much more responsive and yet still looks good on screen
Awesome stuff, looking forward to more modded AC4 runs!
You can count on there being more!
Am I misunderstanding what’s happening at certain points or does the mod remove the limits on ejects out of wall runs?!?!

Interesting
@@Wbubbles3998 There is an input to disregard handholds in a wallrun. It quite the OP feature
If only we could get mods like this for unity and origins games too but man its so exciting to see the older games style controls in ac4
