Bro I've added up everything 114 dollars is about right I thought so to but the signal mirror is 35 by its self the spark lite kit 10 Katydne water purification tablets are 14 for 20 of them that saw is military grade 20 and the matches 5 and that light is 20 and everything else plus the convenience and time saver plus they have to make money 114 dollars is high but it's all quality but I agree you can make your own for a little cheaper I'm a survivalist shits outrageous on price right now because how the world is right now
Nice kit, you can tell there are quality items in it, but for the Price I could almost put the whole thing together with stuff I already have in the house and it would be almost exactly the same for a lot less money.
Nicely done job with unboxing vid. Seems pricey for the contents and they should definitely throw in a decent compass and mylar emergency blanket maybe even a cheap lightweight poncho.
Sunto wrist compass is probably the best small compass ...I also mention I picked up a pack of 3 wrist compasses at hobby lobby ..in the Paracord section .. they are not liquid filled but they were all accurate and they work just as good as the liquid filled ones maybe better for general direction... I like to carry #95 paracord.. 50 ft length It's still plenty strong for Ridgeline.. or any task.. what takes up much less room than regular paracord.. along with your survival kit it would be good to have a Sol mylar emergency blanket XL SIZE .. if possible carry two.. one to wrap around you. And when you could make a tarp shelter... Thick mill trash bags are usually too heavy and large.. but perhaps you could find a 30 gallon thinner trash bag and fold it up with make a BROS bed.. when stuffed with leaves to sleep on..
seems like it would also need a couple large needles and dental floss for when you have deep wounds to get stitches, or when you need to repair a tarp or shelter, socks, or clothing. Now I know it don't have much but some wire or fish hooks for catching food would be just as important. Yes, you can go without food for about 5 days or more, but a long fasting isn't going to solve your survival if you are a bit weak and chopping up firewood or struggling with rain weather. I thought I liked aquatabs Brand water purification tablets as they work in 30 minutes +small but while it purifies everything else it does not kill cryptosporidium! . Katadyne water purification tablets do kill cryptosporidium but take 4 hours to work! So what I do is take both kinds of water purification tablets.. that way if I'm getting dehydrated and I need a quick drink I would use the aqua tabs & if I was able to wait for hours I would use the other type with the chlorine. . I also tend to carry#95 paracord in my small kits as it takes up much less space and is still plenty strong to make a ridge line etc.. I carry a trash bag.. which can be used as a poncho or a bros bed filled with leaves.. and 2 mylar emergency blankets.. want to use as a tarp and one to cover me for warmth..
Little pricey seems like nice gear but you can get the Best glide mess tin kit basic for less money or the advanced one for bout same price. Great video tho I buy stuff off 5col sometimes
Congratulations! I like 5col, but their entire store is so overpriced. Other shops with the same exact items are half the price. I checked them out on ebay and elsewhere and was shocked at how expensive everything is. With that said, for over $100, they could have at least given you a mylar blanket or tarp and a compass. Even a button compass would have been excusable. Nothing at all isn't. At least I don't think. Great video and enjoy the house!

Better to make your own kit! Way too expensive for what you get! The container is great and some other components are quality, but NOT WORTH 114.00!!
