TOP THRILL 2 Reaction! (Passholder Preview Night at Cedar Point)

This still feels like a dream.
The fact that on Thursday, Derrick and I got in our car and drove 3 hours out to Sandusky, Ohio for Cedar Point's last passholder preview event for Top Thrill 2 - how did that even happen?!
The night was perfect in every way - gorgeous weather, an electric crowd, and an AMAZING ride!
I have to admit: after our last "gamble" with a roller coaster at a Cedar Fair park ( • The (Dirty Little) Sec... ) we were truly holding our breath that this was going to pay off. What if the ride went down? What if the weather changed and the conditions wouldn't even let it open? What if we could't get on?
But guess what: none of those speculations turned out to be true!
Not only did we make it into the park, we were given tickets to ride in the first ride-block of the day. We waited about 5 minutes for an available locker, and then walked straight through the queue, straight up into the station, and straight into the FRONT ROW of Top Thrill 2 - Cedar Point's newest record breaking roller coaster for 2024!
The ride literally blew our socks off. It was insane and perfect and so much fun - so much better and more complete than the original Top Thrill Dragster ever was.
Having gotten our singular ride in, we spent the next 3 hours soaking in the atmosphere, beauty, and artistry of the ride. It was the most beautiful night and we had a blast documenting every aspect that we could of Top Thrill 2.
The only bummer of the night was that we could only ride it once (we would have traded just about anything for another ride!) I guess that means another visit to Cedar Point will be coming in the VERY near future (and we can't wait!)

2. I love that they changed that little gift shop into the official ride shop.

1. LOL I normally don't bring up my gear at all, but since this vlog was very much centered around me photographing the ride, I figured I would mention it (plus, I feel like my 28-70 got more comments from other park guests than my 70-200 does!)
2. that little gift shop was PACKED - it was like a shop on Main Street at Magic Kingdom 30 minutes after the park closes. The people pouring in and out of that shop carrying big bags of merch was incredible!! I didn't even peek in because it was so crowded! (Next time I will though - I need my ornament for the year!)
