The girls are looking great! I am so thrilled to have been able to provide them to you! It is great to see how everything is progressing there! Pretty kitty!
🌵Like how you think out your plains. You are getting a lot done. Chou' O's On getting Bonnie fixed! Love the new Kitty, 🐈she is sweet , and the Pups🐕 are too! Your Homestead family is growing! 🌵 So many mouths to feed..🐔🐤🐣🐖🐷 Would you believe it we are getting yet another snow day out here in N. Calif Unusual..
Thank you, yes, lots of mouths to feed! Oh wow, more snow out there?! Crazy weather this year! Are you in an area impacted by the flooding? I hope not! God bless and have a great week...hope you've warmed up :)
Looks like an every 6month service would be just tightening all the tractors bolts. The pallets look like a pig house. Not like a teenagers room but one real pigs live in LOL Shared on every social media site I use.
Definitely a good plan for the tractor! Ooh...we like the idea of a pig and will probably be looking into those at some point...who doesn't like bacon!! Excellent guess on the shelter :) Thank you so much for sharing...we really appreciate it! Take care!
I think the pallet shed is to house the young chickens while their Tower is built :-) ... and the beautiful pups can "learn" their new charges meanwhile. I wonder if dogfood--as there are oils in the kibble--will spoil if too heated up in desert summer sun. There is a way to do a cobbed-over pallet shed (see palletable cobbin)--might be enough to protect the food drum... a quick build, though another project however small is not what y'all need! love, love, love the lovely purring cat, and I'm hoping for kittens, just for fun and knowing they will have landed well with you. My experience is 2 weeks is needed for a new cat to orient to all the sounds, smells and sights so the new place becomes home and one doesn't have a runaway. You have done your homework on that also, so good! So much accepting of new life is the optimism which creates. Blessings. P.S. I see over at TSH they are using only earth in their latest earthbag build, leaving out the cement.
We had not thought of that with the hot summer sun, but that's a good suggestion! This shelter for the goats will be temporary until we get the permanent shelter built closer up hill near the chicken coop. We had no idea that pallets could be cobbed over and will check that out for sure...appreciate you passing that along! I know, we just love Clara and she is so sweet! We are letting her out a little bit each day and she seems to be sticking around well :) We love all the animals and are really enjoying the goats...they are absolutely hilarious! Oh, interesting on TSH...we have stopped adding lime in the bags and they are hard as a rock! Blessings to you as well and appreciate your continued encouragement!
Hello Doug and Keri. Lovely Clara. The structure look’s like you will use it for a Goat lamb or calf. I may be completely wrong but just wanted to guess. 💕NonnaGrace 🐓
Hi Nonna Grace...isn't she? We've had other kitties in the past that look similar to her and they have all been the sweetest! We just hope she's smart enough to stay safe out here! An excellent, correct guess...nicely done! Hope you have a beautiful day!
Pleased Clara is settling in well, she'll be a boon while decimating the rodents. She'll need shade as well as the dog food will. I believe Arizona summers can be hot. In Australia at the moment we're having a heatwave so thank goodness for aircon!
Yes, Clara will be great for decimating the rodents...we saw her going after one today actually. She's been seeking shade under the RV during the day and she seems to be very "aware" when she is in the open which is good because we do have birds of prey that would go after her. We are in the foothills of the mountains, so a bit higher in elevation...it does get hot here in the summer, but not like Phoenix or Tucson which can get easily to 115' where we will not get much over 95-98' which is still hot, but not quite as bad. Glad to hear you've got air conditioning for the heat...it can make all the difference! Have a wonderful weekend :)
Oh yeah, and it's only just beginning LOL!!! Hope you guys are getting a bit warmer up there...we've started to come out of winter finally down here :) Cheers!
That is strange to have metric w standard but I have seen stranger things.. thank you for this information I finally went and bought a decent metric set so that is helping me tremendously..
I believe you’ll probably use the pallets to help with chickies. Lol. Anyway so glad to see my FAV couple again. Just have to ask …in all your research…have ya come across “Red & April Offgrid” UA-cam channel?? A very informative channel building Hyperadobie Tiny house build. It reminds me so much of y’all’s channel!! Oh Keri… so sorry I’ve kept calling you “Teri” all this time. !! 🤷🏼♀️ Guess the name sounded like a T to me. !! Anyway.. let me know if you’ve seen that channel!! The puppies are getting so big and love your kitty! Sure she’ll adapt to being there and probably love all the pack rats!! I know it will help you keep them under control especially when you get the second kitty and MAYBE…. Clara IS pregnant!! Waiting for your next video!! Please be careful lifting ANYTHING!! I worry about y’all !! ❤🥰
Hey Karen!! That is an excellent guess :) Oh yeah, we love Red & April Off Grid...they were a big part of our inspiration to bite the bullet and get out here :) No worries at all on my name...I've been called much worse hahahaha!! Yes, we think little Clara kitty will help out with the rat problem! We are much more aware of not hurting ourselves now...Doug did tweak his back slightly, but it's healing up and he's going to be more careful!! We hope you are doing great, staying healthy, and that Spring is on it's way to your area :)
The girls are looking great! I am so thrilled to have been able to provide them to you!

They are doing great! They have grown so fast and are such sweethearts!! They love playing with Willow and they kindly tolerate Zoey, the Chihuahua :)

Pallets are for a compost pile
Ahh, good guess! Stay tuned :)
There a grey mountain lion!
Definitely a great huntress
If you don't have any good wash up soap available use dish soap and add sugar for the grit, work great.
Great idea!! Thank you
8.8 is a grade 8 metric bolt, the 6 dashes are a grade 8 standard bolt, if my memory is correct
Aww look at the cute puppies. The mystery building is for chicks. OMG kitty 🐈. This is anamal overload.
Oh yeah, and it's only just beginning LOL!!! Hope you guys are getting a bit warmer up there...we've started to come out of winter finally down here :) Cheers!
It looks like the top bolt is metric and bottom one is standard, both are grade 8 bolts.
That is strange to have metric w standard but I have seen stranger things.. thank you for this information I finally went and bought a decent metric set so that is helping me tremendously..
@Two Rebels Off Grid that's not normal, somebody #&$@ed up
