    I was on holiday with my wife, on the grass by the pool. When it was time to stand up I had to roll on to my front then on to all fours before I managed to stand up, I was embarrassed because I must have looked like an old man. Dr Sullivan’s book and watching these videos have given me the motivation I need to improve my strength and make my later years more mobile.

    I enjoyed that. Good work by all involved. I wish we had a Starting Strength gym & coaches in Auckland, New Zealand... maybe one day!

    Hi wow full respect to all the master lifters and Emily and Diego the . I'm a 64 year old guy in the uk training in my home gym I've found as I got older most gyms I went to didn't cater for older folk kinda felt that younger guys seemed to consider me as someone to show off to, you know the camaraderie at this gym bought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eyes keep up the great work

    This is truth! I wish there was the same gym here that specifically caters to Masters Athletes like me. We need this in Manila.

    Every time one of the lifters in the gym introduced themselves, I tried to guess their age, and I was off by 10 to 20 years every time.

      @@GreySteel , watched the video and i am still none the wiser , the only thing i can think of is 5 reps x 3 sets

      @@josephcroft4268 Just the opposite. 5 sets of 3 reps which is recommended for older lifters, compared to the 3 sets of 5 recommended for younger lifters.

      I’m 32 but I’ve found I get a lot of aches and pains as the weights move up for 3x5. Switching to 5x3 is helping me too. Maybe I am just creaky for my age? :P

    There are lots of guy his age who couldn't Squat 120, let alone Press.
