    Making an outstanding job of that wall, Justin. What a difference from the depressing mud bath at the start of the job.

    Working through this series well now (I watched the patio laying bits before), and loving all the tips you're giving buddy. I should have kept watching before commenting about my drainage issue a few vids back as it seems you're about to give me the same solution I'm looking for.
    Oh and another cure for hiccups that works every single time for me, is to hold your breath as long as possible, and boom, no more hiccups.

    I’m just about to do this in my garden as some DIY. While I’m no bricky, I can lay bricks (slowly) in a straight line but I’ve never done curves before. Massively helpful 👍👍

    I'm amongst thousands of guys who get strange pleasure watching other people graft whilst sat in their armchairs supping a glass of the red stuff. But you make it so much better because of the easy skills you demonstrate. I say 'easy skills' and by that I mean you have the skill to make it look easy, but I know it takes an awful lot of practice to reach your standards. And it's not raining! What a surprise!

    If you ever want to instantly stop hiccups: with your thumb and forefinger pinched, apply a pushing force between your eyebrows. Hold this pressure for around 60 secs.
    It will work every single time.

    The absolute best treatment for hiccups is a shot of vinegar. It gets rid of them immediately.

      Simon be sure to seek permission to connect to drain runs mate.
      Weap holes are normally ok for standard walls but there are guidelines for them aswell so be careful. If in doubt seek professional advice or a structural engineer. Good luck with your project.

    Just remembered - hiccups cure! Teaspoon, level amount of normal sugar. Then, drip malt vinegar (yeah, really!) into the sugar until it's a mushy disgusting mess. Then, swallow the mixture in one mouthful. Sounds disgusting, but, works for me and for everyone else who have tried it. Apparently the two disparate 'sweet and sour' flavours shocks the throat and convulses, stopping the hiccups. Try it on Jay next time!

      Sorry to here that Martin.I came to the realisation that i couldn't do what i used to i had doctors saying change your job.
      So i now work smart and i had to take another lad on so i reduced all the heavy stuff .i always lead by example lumping stuff around but i had to change everything was hard for me but the only way i can carry on mate .
      Have a think about that hope it helps and dont work to hard good luck pal 👍

    • @brickrightbuildinglandscaping
      @brickrightbuildinglandscaping  7 місяців тому

      @martinjenkins1827 i thought the same thing Martin fact is you keep things the same and you'll be out of work full stop.
      Try a lad from a government training centre i did that for years and had some crap yes but eventually they gave me all the good lads here in wales they pay them £60 a week for 6 months you pay nothing but i always payed them aswell but not straight way.
      People plus or itec training they are called here .
      They help you and you teach them .I actually got Brad from there and he worked with me for 7 years in the end amongst other lads who are now gone but we still speak to them now.
      Its definitely a food for thought for you mate cant do everything on your own .
      Or pay a lad minimum wage up for day rate if your good people will pay you be supprised and most wouldn't expect you to do all the work on your own actually looks better as a business with two doing our job .
      Not telling u what to do by no means just sharing my experience.
      Hope all works out for you mate 👍

    Hi Just, what’s your rule of thumb with putting down type 1 in current climates? got my small driveway area dug out last week, and type 1 being delivered in two
    bulk bags tomorrow. Still snow on the ground down here. Can you get type 1 in and laid with 0 degree temps?

    • @brickrightbuildinglandscaping
      @brickrightbuildinglandscaping  Рік тому +1

      Hi Jack
      I added type 1 today in these conditions but i used a blow touch on the ground .i would be very careful on a drive .if you add mot to frozen mot then when it thaws out your level will change the result would mean the drive being compromised.
      So Jack your better off waiting for the ice snow and frost to go mate just to be sure 👍.
      Good luck
