That is real brickwork, pleasure to watch.
Appreciate it thanks 🧱⛄️🏴👍
Making an outstanding job of that wall, Justin. What a difference from the depressing mud bath at the start of the job.
Moving along ok now Jim been a difficult one mate 👍 😉

Cracking job lads under tough conditions, quality landscaping/building work being carried out by all of you😎👍😊
Thanks shaun
Appreciate it mate 👍 👌
Working through this series well now (I watched the patio laying bits before), and loving all the tips you're giving buddy. I should have kept watching before commenting about my drainage issue a few vids back as it seems you're about to give me the same solution I'm looking for.
Oh and another cure for hiccups that works every single time for me, is to hold your breath as long as possible, and boom, no more hiccups.
Glad the videos are of help to you Marcus.
Appreciate the tip for hiccups 🤣👍🙌🧱
I’m just about to do this in my garden as some DIY. While I’m no bricky, I can lay bricks (slowly) in a straight line but I’ve never done curves before. Massively helpful 👍👍
Glad its helped you and good luck 👍
Lovely bit of brickwork 💪👍
Thanks a lot 👍🧱👌
Lovely job on the brickwork just top job
Thanks luke mate appreciate it ⛄️❄️🧱👍
Like the tip about keeping your head warm Justin! Just need few tips on how to grow hair on a bald head like mine!! Wall is coming on a treat, and already looking forward to seeing you build the steps.

I said the same thing Rich 🤣🤣👍🧱
Neat brickwork good video
Thanks John 👍🧱👌
Lovely that mate.. Turning cold out there now mate.
Thanks Rich
Gonna get colder this coming week aswell ❄️🧊🧥⛄️👍
I'm amongst thousands of guys who get strange pleasure watching other people graft whilst sat in their armchairs supping a glass of the red stuff. But you make it so much better because of the easy skills you demonstrate. I say 'easy skills' and by that I mean you have the skill to make it look easy, but I know it takes an awful lot of practice to reach your standards. And it's not raining! What a surprise!
Glad you enjoy it Dave i do the same thing mate so i no what you mean .
Enjoy your glass of red and appreciate the comments.
Ta v much
Justin 👍😀🧱🧱
Correct,my backs killing me,just watching!!😅😅
Nice brickwork good video

Hi John
You no what id rather build a curve than straight more to it more to get stuck into .The cold has killed laying any bricks now snow here now aswell. Thanks John good luck to you all mate hope your doing well 👍 ❄️⛄️🧱🧱👍
Super tidy wall buddy
Thanks lee
⛄️👍🧱🧱
Whats's with you UK fella's banging the level with ya trowel all the time
Its a bad habbit that makes laying bricks easier but yes is wrong guess where all rule breakers over here 🙂 good luck where are you from ?
👍🧱🧱
Hard brick to lay, do a bit of floating around and take a bit of time for the mortar to start setting for jointing up
Not many bricklayers working this week with this weather 🤣 freezing up here in 🏴
Tidy work 👌🧱
Yea all bricklaying on stop here now frozen solid mate .Yea gauge is the only thing to keep eye on with the concrete bricks.
Good luck up in Scotland mate 🏴🏴
Jays Hiccups.....That'll be the cider...
🤣🤣🤣
Good job being a bricklayer myself I’ve seen a few walls built like that on site when they use a line 😂😂
🤣🤣 we've all seen them walls Robert 🤣.thanks mate 👍 👌
Frozen fingers, frozen feet and still knocking out a first class job with a smile on your face. Value for money. Customer must happy.
Just got to get on with it Micheal .Yea customer is happy which is great .👍⛄️🧱🧱❄️
That's true, but the power of hot bacon butties and mugs of tea to fuel the workers is important as well. Beautifully curved wall looking forward to seeing the steps going in.
@Michael Thurlow spot on Michael that is very true 👍 🤣
If you ever want to instantly stop hiccups: with your thumb and forefinger pinched, apply a pushing force between your eyebrows. Hold this pressure for around 60 secs.
It will work every single time.
Gonna try that one with jay he always has hiccups 😀👍🧱
Holding your breath after u do one is to be best or a little bit of sugar
The absolute best treatment for hiccups is a shot of vinegar. It gets rid of them immediately.
Ill remember that thanks
It looks great, my compliments. But do you have any footage of how you set that curve out?
Thanks .
No I don't sorry apart from what's in the video I do have other curved wall videos though
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Thank you, I noticed since putting this comment up. Thankyou.
Good tip don’t eat the yellow snow😂😂👍
🤣🤣🤣⛄️⛄️❄️❄️👍
Can you include the handsome devil that delivers the bricks next time👍🏻
🤣🤣🤣 yea right Gav 🤣🤣👌👍
Your in agony mate. Brad should have been taking up the slack, givin the old fella a few days in the office. Hope your seeing a Chiro regularly. Gotta stretch out the time you got left. Loving your work though fella. Good honest stuff.
To worried to go to a chiro incase they make me worse Harvey heard good and bad things about them .
Few days off here and there would be good 🤣 appreciate the comments
Justin 👍
Does the wall need no drainage or weep vents? About to do a similar retaining wall but wondered about water behind the wall.
ua-cam.com/video/31XDsHJgrmk/v-deo.html.
Have a look at this video. You can watch the entire build on the playlist called the flooded masterpiece.
Good luck 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping not sure I can tie into and existing drain that easily but as I’m not retaining a sloping lawn I might get away with a soak away.
@Simon Burch
Simon be sure to seek permission to connect to drain runs mate.
Weap holes are normally ok for standard walls but there are guidelines for them aswell so be careful. If in doubt seek professional advice or a structural engineer. Good luck with your project.
Justin 👍 🧱🧱🧱
Well what i say 👌
Danny thanks mate 👍 🙏 ⛄️🧱👍
Just remembered - hiccups cure! Teaspoon, level amount of normal sugar. Then, drip malt vinegar (yeah, really!) into the sugar until it's a mushy disgusting mess. Then, swallow the mixture in one mouthful. Sounds disgusting, but, works for me and for everyone else who have tried it. Apparently the two disparate 'sweet and sour' flavours shocks the throat and convulses, stopping the hiccups. Try it on Jay next time!
Bloody hell Dave he probably spew the hiccups up after that 🤣🤣👍🧱⛄️
Mate I'm 34 just the same bad back shoulders not great got arthritis everywhere and discs in my back have ware and tear not lot strength anymore I'm self employed gardening 5years of hard graft now I'm crippled still going just easing up on the work
Sorry to here that Martin.I came to the realisation that i couldn't do what i used to i had doctors saying change your job.
So i now work smart and i had to take another lad on so i reduced all the heavy stuff .i always lead by example lumping stuff around but i had to change everything was hard for me but the only way i can carry on mate .
Have a think about that hope it helps and dont work to hard good luck pal 👍
Don't have the work or income to take on another lad mate but I love what I do system is crap so can't get much help from government ever so I just have to keep struggling mate
@martinjenkins1827 i thought the same thing Martin fact is you keep things the same and you'll be out of work full stop.
Try a lad from a government training centre i did that for years and had some crap yes but eventually they gave me all the good lads here in wales they pay them £60 a week for 6 months you pay nothing but i always payed them aswell but not straight way.
People plus or itec training they are called here .
They help you and you teach them .I actually got Brad from there and he worked with me for 7 years in the end amongst other lads who are now gone but we still speak to them now.
Its definitely a food for thought for you mate cant do everything on your own .
Or pay a lad minimum wage up for day rate if your good people will pay you be supprised and most wouldn't expect you to do all the work on your own actually looks better as a business with two doing our job .
Not telling u what to do by no means just sharing my experience.
Hope all works out for you mate 👍
Hi Just, what’s your rule of thumb with putting down type 1 in current climates? got my small driveway area dug out last week, and type 1 being delivered in two
bulk bags tomorrow. Still snow on the ground down here. Can you get type 1 in and laid with 0 degree temps?
Hi Jack
I added type 1 today in these conditions but i used a blow touch on the ground .i would be very careful on a drive .if you add mot to frozen mot then when it thaws out your level will change the result would mean the drive being compromised.
So Jack your better off waiting for the ice snow and frost to go mate just to be sure 👍.
Good luck
Justin 👍❄️⛄️🧱
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping perfect, thanks bud! appreciate that advice!
