Beyond her extraordinary career that will tell you the fans , since her 10 years old Amira has a Fundation , Gelukskinders , destined to build playgrounds in poor zones of South Afrika for the poor childrens have a place where play . Was builded 18 playgrounds and are projected more buildings . Amira is 18 years old now

The STUNNING Amira Willighagen is one of my TRIPPEL AAA ARTISTS. The other two are the AMAZING Angelina Jordan ( jazz) and the AWESOME, ONE OF A KIND Alma Deutcher. I know there are many more REALLY COOL talents World wide, but these 3 are the Cherry,s on the cake all 3 in their own field. 👍

Isn't she wonderful? That was her dad watching in the wings, he is a church organist, which shows how Amira 's interest in classical music developed from a young age. She is 18 now and still singing beautifully. She left school just before Christmas and her results from her finals came out to day. She passed her subjects with an average of 91%. 8 distinctions. Not only bright, and talented, but also benevolent she used half her winnings from the talent show to build a playground in south Africa for kids from a poor township. She has buto 18 since then.
If you want to watch some more of her, I suggest ( for starters) her singing o mio babbino caro with Andre Rieu. It shows what she could do with a soupçon of coaching. Or how about Ave Maria Gomez at the Canisius Church Christmas concert.

We know each other from Angelina Jordan and I like to call Amira her spiritual opera twin: she won very young as well (7 vs 9), is extremely talented, largely self-taught, accused of having old soul and does a lot for a charity as well. Both not just inspiring artists but also inspiring people. She is 18 now turning 19 in two months.
I remember Amira walking on stage during HGT and blowing me away. Seeing her still hits me like a truck. She has developed herself incredible, has bunches of fans and released a number (four I think) albums. You will certainly enjoy listening to more of her performances! :-)

Bart, great description and wonderful comparison with Angelina! Angelina is our Barefoot Princess, and Amira actually means "Princess" in Persian! I absolutely adore them both, along with Lucy Thomas and Laura Bretan. Just incredibly astounding young people vocally and as wonderful human beings!

A splendid reaction,thank you.Before Amira went on stage to sing this rendition,she was given a given a few voice coaching tips by the organisers of 'Holland's Got Talent.'Up until this point,she had not received any voice or singing coaching whet so ever.She had taught herself to sing by watching videos on You Tube,of Pavarotti,Maria Callas and Andrea Bocelli.Amira would sing along with them while copying their mouth movements.Amira was about seven at the time and wanted to enter H G T but her parents told her to be patient until she had more experience.When she was nine, she got her wish and won the first round singing 'O Mio Babbino Caro', leaving the judges and audiance, wide eyed and gasping,which you have just watched.Amira received the golden ticket and golden shower,which carried her through to the semi finals.She won this singing 'Ave Maria'taking her through to the finals where she sang Nessun Dorma,winning by more than fifty percent of the votes.Now that you have discovered this incredibly talented young woman, Amira,book a seat for your self for a ride on her train, as it rushes through the wonderland of her music.Reguards from,Michael Jonathan Lewis, Johannesburg,South Africa.
Amira is outstanding in everything she sings. The comment of wanting to be in the Olympics, is not far fetched. Just after the tryouts she came in 1st for the second time in a marathon and again just after winning Hollands Got Talent. She is still an outstanding runner, I understand. I figure that is where she gets the lung to put out those beautiful notes. Nice reaction
She was headed for the Olympics when she came down with the epidemic. She just graduated from high school as a valedictorian and is headed for a world tour.
You like to be shocked? Well, you certainly got your wish this time! LOL! Amira is absolutely without description -- just crazy amazing and beautiful inside and out with her incredible humanitarian efforts! She started her own foundation called "Gelukskinders" ("Lucky Children") when she was TEN, which raises money to build playgrounds for impoverished children all over South Africa. She's 18 now, and she has built that many playgrounds thus far! Leading by example, she donates half of all her earnings back into the foundation. She recently graduated high school with honors and as a valedictorian. She has an astoundingly bright future, God willing. And speaking of the Lord, she has a deeply profound faith in Him which shows by her words, her character, and her conduct!

we've seen kids who sing opera on AGT and BGT but nothing like this. this is something wonderful and mysterious.
She did both of those with spades = she was in the Olympics representing her Mother's country of S. Africa. She is an amazing little girl. She now lives in South Africa.

Welcome to the world of Amira. The part about the Olympics was not just a pipe dream. For two years prior she won long distance marathon races in Holland 9K and 15K, winning First Place, against older runners. The running gives her great lung power for singing. She was on course to be on the South Africa Olympic Team until everything was shut down by the Covid Vires. She won Hollands Got Talent against 7 other contestants with over 50 percent of the total vote all by herself. There is a very large choice of videos available out there, have fun.

Insane talent!! You are correct. A growing number of these prodigious individuals have appeared ln the past 10 or so years. You mentioned Jackie Evancho, also a great talent. If you like being shocked at this kind of classical talent, try Alma Deutscher (Doy-cher) a young classical composer/virtuoso violinist and virtuoso pianist. Here she is performing the 3rd movement of her own violin concerto composition.
