‘Absolutely hopeless’: Liz Truss hits out at Keir Starmer over failure to support Israel

- Former UK prime minister Liz Truss has hit out at Keir Starmer for the way he has handled the war in the Middle East and his lack of support for Israel.
The UK Prime Minister called for an immediate ceasefire during an address at the United Nations last week as he warned against further escalation.
Ms Truss claimed Mr Starmer has been “absolutely hopeless” with Britain imposing a partial arms embargo on Israel.
“If we allow Israel to fall, that is completely disastrous for the future of the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia,” Ms Truss told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Hell of a lot is at stake here and we are completely letting Israel down.”

@@BillyThetit Truss definitely is childish. I agree with you. There is something seriously amiss psychologically with her. Her parents are clearly principled, morally upright people and they must wonder what did they do to raise such a horrible, hateful individual. I believe she and her parents have a strained relationship and it has much to do with her odious political opinions. Truss is an example of a person who's formally highly educated but has no wisdom. She was promoted way above her abilities at DEFRA and The Foreign Office nevermind PM. As Foreign Secretary she was embarrassingly and humiliatingly out of her depth up against Sergey Lavrov( Putin's henchman) who has qualities of toughness, intelligence, charisma and sense of humour all clearly lacking in Truss. The contempt with which he regarded this tenth grade politician was on show for all to see. He must've been thinking 'Britain was a powerful country: it once had an empire. Even in recent times Thatcher was a substantial politician who could have a ruck with the toughest. Now look at the sorry state of the country where Liz Truss is the best they can get to be Foreign Secretary'. I like Peter Osborne's comment on Liz Truss on UA-cam. He absolutely eviscerates her morally and intellectually. When you see Truss's inane grin when chased by a reporter, that's the real Truss: empty, devoid of principles and morals.
