I met Buzz once at a NBAA Convention in New Orleans many years ago. Inside the convention Big room he was sitting by himself had some papers in his hand and I walked up and I stuck out my hand and he stood up and shook my hand. I thanked him and said “I watched you guys on TV and what you did convinced me to become a pilot…Thank you .” I’m now a 70yo Veteran and retired pilot who had a wonderful life flying around our world.

Brian is an outstanding interviewer. He asks the simple questions and lets the speaker "speak" without any interference whatsoever. Amazing. Most interviewers would be compelled to intervene and interject something along the way. But Dr. Cox sits back and does his job. Brian Cox is one of the best interviewers I've ever seen of Buzz Aldrin. BTW, Buzz legally changed his name to "Buzz" in the 1990s according to the book "Rocket Men" by Craig Nelson.

I saw him driving down the street in an old corvette in Ventura Ca. I thought I would die. I waved and shouted hello and he smiled at me and waved back. I almost drowned in a pool when I was nine and I woke up in a hospital and watched them launch and by the time I got home they were walking on the moon. My Mother said "I am glad that you lived to see this" I thought, yeah me too!

@@shakedown2246 QUOTE: "The radiation belts of the Earth do, indeed, pose important constraints on the safety of human space flight. The very energetic (tens to hundreds of MeV) protons in the inner radiation belt are the most dangerous and most difficult to shield against. Specifically, prolonged flights (i.e., ones of many months' duration) of humans or other animals in orbits about the Earth must be conducted at altitudes less than about 250 miles in order to avoid significant radiation exposure. A person in the cabin of a space shuttle in a circular equatorial orbit in the most intense region of the inner radiation belt, at an altitude of about 1000 miles, would be subjected to a fatal dosage of radiation in about one week. However, the outbound and inbound trajectories of the Apollo spacecraft cut through the outer portions of the inner belt and because of their high speed spent only about 15 minutes in traversing the region and less than 2 hours in traversing the much less penetrating radiation in the outer radiation belt. The resulting radiation exposure for the round trip was less than 1% of a fatal dosage - a very minor risk among the far greater other risks of such flights. I made such estimates in the early 1960s and so informed NASA engineers who were planning the Apollo flights. -- James A. Van Allen" END QUOTE

Wow! We actually have a real SUPERHERO still living (The SECOND Man To Walk On The Moon)! He is currently 94 years old and still looking great. As a 16-year-old in 1969, it was great to experience our astronaut heroes routinely landing on the moon until 1972. However, nothing in that era was more heart-pounding than the first mission of Buzz and Neil. It was all so unreal!

A British journalist asks the threesome what it was like to view the stars out there, obviously implying that it must have been a magnificent sight. With a deadpan expression, Armstrong replies only that the stars were not visible from the surface of the moon "without optics". At this, Collins, who of course was never supposed to have set foot on the moon himself, tries to support Neil by adding "I don't remember seeing any...." @@sunnyland3952 I have never been to China or Australia, or even England but I have met several people from all of those places and find them quite credible and, their descriptions are very well-spoken and consistently accurate over long periods of time just like Buzz Aldrin's and other people who have been in space and on the moon. One of the cues that someone is lying is when they can't keep a story consistent, or when their facts change when challenged. None of these are present when Buzz Aldrin or in other videos Neil Armstrong are speaking so I accept the fact that China, Australia and England exist because of my friends speaking calmly and consistently of their time spent in other countries. Buzz Aldrin is telling a story his stories haven't changed over the years so it stands to reason that based on everything we know he probably you know actually did these things and actually went to the Moon. It's sad that people like you want to tarnish Our Heroes by trying to make them out to be liars and charlatans.

Because after all, nothing says trustworthy more than a convicted felon, ex cult member, stalker, former cab driver, and proven fraud. No he doesn't - seriously how gullible does it get? The actual original was publicly released decades before and from it you can see the deceptively edited and tampered footage that Sibrel claimed was 'secret'. He knows that his target audience knowing nothing whatsoever about the history, science and technology of Apollo are too dumb to independently verify his deceptive claims. He has nothing but contempt for you, which quite frankly, is all that you deserve.

@@rowdyyates4273 rowdy, thank you for your reply, hope that you are well. You wrote "no evidence that t”they went there" This is incorrect to the point of absurdity. The Apollo missions and the moon landings are among the most documented events in human history. There are almost 9000 publicly available photographs, thousands of hours of video footage, a mountain of scientific data, and full transcripts and audio recordings of all air-to-ground conversations. 380 kilograms of Moon rock exist that Apollo astronauts brought back to Earth. These rocks have been independently verified as lunar by laboratories around the world, totally ruling out a US conspiracy. Thousands of samples of these lunar rocks and soil have been released to scientist around the world resulting in hundreds of scientific papers published. The huge amount of independent evidence suggests that your personal opinion in incorrect. Not only were the Soviets tracking Apollo 11 (and all the other Apollo missions) with radar but they were also monitoring all the voice communications as these were all on open channels (along with hundreds of armature ham radio enthusiasts). Sir Bernard Lovell and his team at Jodrell Bank Observatory, UK, were on duty monitoring the Russian space probe Luna 15 which at the time was in lunar orbit. Using their Doppler radar they tracked Apollo 11 right down to the moons surface and with their giant radio telescope they monitored every word that the astronauts spoke and were able to determine that these communications came from the moon. In fact, the huge amount of independent, third-party evidence for the Apollo moon landings all totally verifies and confirms these events. Serious question, were you aware of any of this? Take care.
