At first a fruit sandwich sounds weird but then again it´s not too different from a simple sponge cake with berries and whipped cream 😄

Yeah, i made some, and that was my thoughts on it. They're great to make for potluck desserts since they're easy to transport and quick to divide up.
Save the cut bread scraps for making ladyfingers for tiramisu.
As a brazillian this is just normal for me
I wonder if it is just one of the things from brazil that everybody thinks its from japan (like the capybara, tapioca, bossa nova, samba jazz, the walkman and thiago kamiya), or if its just a coincidence, or even who knows maybe the other way around.
But i just ate a banana and cream sandwich for breakfast, bcz i'm a monkey, of course.
@@cupuacu4life13... But nobody thinks all of those are from Japan, though? If anything, people just know Brazillian culture is very popular in Japan, not that they originated in Japan. As to why that is, it's really because a lot of Brazillians live in Japan.

Ohh on that topic I’d love to see them make the pumpkin soup in skyward sword! Could lead to a fun presentation in the bottle, or maybe even the giant tub of pumpkin soup from later in the game!
For a slightly worse but also a lot easier version, to scratch that itch super quick: Super-soft toast (crusts cut), and a packet of readymade cream-stiffener (it's a powder in the baking aisle) works too :)
I also like to use a packet of vanilla-sugar instead of regular sugar!
Thank you for the Poor Mans edition! I don't own a stand mixer so it would be a NIGHTMARE to mix all that dough by hand.
IIRC a lot of whipped cream stabilizer is basically just a form of starch, like tapioca (casava) starch or corn starch.

@@senscape6891 naturally, the cream stiffener is meant to go inside the cream, before whipping it up. It's meant as an easier replacement for the stiffening method used in the video.
I remember trying these with my mom and we tried both whipped cream and mascarpone cheese. Both were delicious.
ayeeee that’s what the cream layer of tiramisu is made of! Something else that’s cheaper would be cream cheese and whipped cream for a tiramisu/fruit sandwich cream layer. It tastes similar to mascarpone and whipped cream but very slightly more sour than mascarpone. I can’t taste the difference but some people might
My only (joking) complaint is that the fruits used in your sandwiches aren't the ones used in ACNH! (except oranges) - A great addition to the video games foods, regardless of your fruit taking liberties!
there are strawberries in the ACNH one too, there's just no strawberries in the game so it's not in the recipe, but you can see them in the actual sandwich
I make like a variant of these except instead of whip cream I use vanilla flavored cream cheese and it is delicious. Can confirm letting it sit over night makes them all the better. 😋
You can also use vanilla pudding mix too heavy mixing cream to stiffen up the whip cream if you stay kosher I use it for cakes all the time

yes, I remember seeing the designs they would make with the fruit, like tangerine flowers with grape leaves and kiwi stems all in single sandwiches :')

has new Horizons become any better over the last 3 years? I bought it on launch, but could only stand to play it for a week or so because compared to prior games; the village was a complete ghost town and the villagers really had nothing to say. Hope nintendo fleshed it out.
@@anasevi9456 It's still pretty ghosty. You play to pay off your loan but the villagers are still kinda like background flavor and the biggest draws are finishing museum collections and building up the town.
After that: the village is kinda just there.
Terraforming the island is an exhaustive nightmare; I want to design my island but I legit hate terraforming and the camera angle doesnt give me a comprehensive idea of how the land im working will look at the end - so its fun but disappointing in that area.

Yes! I once ate japanese bread once and its so fluffy. The bread used on their fruit sandwich taste like cake! Its so delicious and vastly differ than regular bread

Fruits sandos were one of my favorite things to get in the morning next to egg salad sandwiches from 7-11 in japan.
711 egg salad sammies got me hooked on them.

I cant get over cutting the sandwiches while they're still in the plastic. I'd worry about getting small pieces in the food.
If you love cheesecake, do this but also add a little cream cheese to the cream mixture as well. 👌👌

These are way bigger than I thought they would be. I always assumed the fruits were cut in half and there was a lot less cream used, and it would overall just be smaller, but I guess the cross sections would be different with half fruits.

I'm definitely going to try and use the whipped cream recipe whenever I have something needs whipped cream cuz mine's been a little flat.
Make milkbread base:
1/2 cup flower
1/2 cup milk (add a splash over)
Slowly add flower to milk on medium heat until it it turns into ball.
6 cups flower
2 1/4 teaspoon yeast
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix dry, then rip up chunks of milkbread base and add to the dry mix. Mix.
Add while mixing:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1.6 cups whole milk.
1/4 cup honey
Mix until the dough is stick, shiny, and smooth. Should have basically no lumps.
Pour dough into oiled bowl and cover to let standing proof for an hour, it should roughly double in size.
Flip dough onto work surface, flatten by hand and cut into fourths. Roll each chunk of dough up into a dough ball, wrapping the sides under the bottom.
Butter your Milkbread pan on all of the inside sides, and place the dough balls in.
Proof again for about an hour. The dough should fill about 80% of the pan.
Bake at 350 for an hour. Once done, slice all the bread, then slice the crusts off of them.
Whipped cream:
Make gelatin mix in small side bowl:
1/4 cup cold water
Sprinkle 4 teaspoons gelatin on top of it
After a few minutes the water should be fully absorbed, microwave 10 seconds to fully constitute the gelatin. Stir to combine. Let cool for a little bit.
3 cups heavy whipping cream in mixer
3 tbsp sugar
Mix until soft peaks, then slowly add gelatin, mix until perfect peaks/consistency.
Assemble sandwiches.
This looks amazing!! If you haven’t played it, you should play Venba and make one of the dishes! I’d love to see you make either puttu or biryani.

Tried it--delicious (even with angel cake instead of the milk bread) but I highly suggest a combo of oranges and pineapples. That was freaking AMAZING compared to the other fruits I tried!
