Great video. This is a very clear demonstration of how the OBEL works and the benefits of having one.

Is there also a send volume to the effects, on the guitar, so you can adjust how hard the signal hits the effects, as well as the post effects send, from the guitar?
That would seem to provide the most flexibility.
Or maybe a stacked volume, that turns up the effects send, while turning down the amp send.
So the overall volume does not change, as you hit the effects harder?
    That would be awesome.

There isn't a pre-effects loop volume control, but there is a post-effects loop volume control. It's very possible to re-purpose one of the tone pots as a pre-effects loop volume control, or to use a concentric volume knob with a stacked pot to achieve pre and post effect volume control.

Could you alternatively just use a stereo Y cable instead of the junction box?

So...this allows for a chain of effects to be turned on/off from a switch on the guitar rather than hitting a bunch of stomp boxes? Is that the point?

That's a big part of it. The other part is that when you are playing without effects, the guitar signal goes directly to your amp, bypassing effects pedals that may suck tone from the signal. You could also place some pedals in your effects loop, and some pedals in between your guitars an amp, like a standard setup, a wah pedal for example, or a compressor pedal that you always want on.

13 points would be copyright infringement.

In some instances, do the tip and ring need to be swapped in order for it to work properly?

goodwi11 the HubBub is wired to work with the Tip being Send and Ring being the Return on the TRS OBEL output jack on the guitar. If things are not working properly with the OBEL engaged, then yes, the wires going to the tip and ring need to be swapped.

Curious why you’d use the Hub Bub with a guitar not using OBEL?

If you have both OBEL and non-OBEL equipped guitars the HubBub makes it easier to switch between playing them with your effects pedals.

Your G string is improperly seated in its saddle.

or you can simply put a volume pedal at the end of your effects chain

Yes, that is a partial alternative to what the OBEL does, and both can be used together.
