Sony A7siii Firmware 3.01 More MESS ! AUTOFOCUS STOPPED WORKING

this error happens to my A7siii after I update the firmware to version 3.01, it works before on version 3.00.
the camera can focus when standby after I press record the autofocus stopped please Sony fix this, man I got project next week.

I have the same issue. Bought a brandnew Sony a7s III and updated the firmware to 3.0.1. Instant regret. I hope it will have a fix as soon as possible.

My sony a7siii also have similar problem i use 16-35mm gm and 70-200gm ii and i have focus issues a lot of out of focus videos and seems not sharp … it used to be insane great camera i really regret updating to this shitty bug 3.0 version seems

Really? even with sony glass. They need to fix this ASAP. I don't use sony's it's either third party lenses or adapted lenses.

I have this problems with Rokinon lens and firmware update on lenses solve all errors. Sigma have lens station to update lens firmware.

yeah I've updated my sigma lens firmware, it happens on my other canon lens also.

Thank you for sharing this. Gives me hope with our AF issue when shooting video on SonyA7Siii. I was contemplating returning to factory reset, until I saw your post! I plan on updating the Rokinon AF 35/1.4. FE tomorrow. I've been waiting on the Lens Station we ordered, to update the Lense. I hope updating the Lens works for us as well!

It was not necessary to update the firmware) I'm with firmware 2 and everything works fine)

Yeah it's actually true, the only reason I updated my camera to see if sony included the ability to load custom LUT. But that wasn't the case. 😣

Reset to factory settings. Some people had the same problem when moving to 3.00

Well that sucks. Does it fail with native lenses as well?

It still works with sigma mc-11 adapter. So far with third party native lenses still works
