- Drum Cover of the first four songs of 2008 Metallica album Death Magnetic - That Was Just Your Life, The End Of The Line, Broken, Beat & Scarred and The Day That Never Comes, shot in one take.
00:00 That Was Just Your Life
06:40 The End Of The Line
14:30 Broken, Beat & Scarred
20:58 The Day That Never Comes
The main riff in Broken Beat and Scarred is a modern day reminder that James Hetfield can write the greatest riffs in the genre. Complex and catchy. His latest great addition to the riff universe is Chasing Light's main riff - not that complex, but very memorable
DOO MORE FOR DEATH MAGNETIC!!!!!!!!!
Man, mad respect to You. Amazing playing. Love DM.
Thank you!
Awesome!
Also, really loved the band's choice to do that "dadada, dadada, dadada, da, da" into the riff right before the first verse of TWJYL. Always been one of my favorite little fills/licks to play
TWJYL is definitely my favorite from DM. Wish they would play it sometime…
Watching the drumming here, I'm remindered that what Lars writes these days is just right for the songs and shows restraint and maturity. I wish he'd push himself more like he did on Justice to take it a bit further and keep listeners on their toes, but whatever. We know he has the ability and creativity. With Lars it's more a matter of motivation and drive. This was true in his early tennis career where he probably could have gone further, and likely was not pushing himself hard enough.
awesome cover! waiting for the rest of the album!
You kick ASS again thank you.
Thank you!
Awesome ❤
Thank you!
awesome Drum Cover Bro can ya do slayer die by the sword and dead skin mask as well that would be killer drum Cover
tbh I didn't ever listen to slayer and I don't know the songs
Your great
Thank you!
How do you remember all of this? I've played guitar for 13 years and can't even remember one song haha
I don’t know. When I listend often enough I just remember. It’s like remembering lyrics. At some point you just know them.
You playing lot of parts completely different than Lars. Is that intended ?
Great kick sound!
What part exactly? Sometimes it’s intended. Sometimes I play it like Lars plays it live. Sometimes I forget parts. Sometimes I just fuck it up. I‘m not really aiming at playing every singe beat like the record. I just push play and play along what comes to my mind.
It don't matter if you fuck it up, dude. You just gotta deliver the fucking song. It's not about you, it's about the band or the song.
😂
