The way they edited C02 (Su Rui Qi) and C03 (Fu Yaning) in this episode really makes me think they only want 1 C member...Also, masters advising them to switch parts after they have practiced for a while is weird imo...They should have let them polish their parts. Cai Bing's good performance today might not matter much since we only have 24h of voting after. We will just have to wait and see.
@@cb6899 mnet really thinks we are that stupid Fu yaning- ling jiao- Wang ya le- cai bing-sui ruiqi are all done. Only xiao ting is left for mnet to ruin.

Yet they be the ones preaching about how they want kpop idols to be treated like humans when even they don't treat them like humans at all
Mnet does too many people dirty. Barely giving screen-time to Japanese trainees which is why a Japanese trainee is rank 1 (I'm not discrediting Yurina btw). Chinese trainees are constantly the 'villains', whereas the Koreans are great leaders, angelic, the victims (only applies to those Mnet wants to debut).
I agree with you. 1. no comment. I just agree 2. Chinese trainee "villains": a) Fu Yaning, nice girl, sketchy past, hella talented. B) Liang Jiao, idk much about her, but I assume she's nice, she has an illness, wich mnet profited off of to make her look bad, she is talented, but not as much as the top9. C) Cai Bing, she can be a little mean under stress, wich mnet, again, profited off of, she is really talented and in the top9, where mnet is trying to get her out of by trying to put a Korean trainee in her place. 3. Yes. Just. Yes. No Korean trainee was made to look bad. NONE. Mnet clearly favours Koreans and ESPACIALLY Dayeon.
@@bread3987 oh right. If i'm not wrong I think she was criticized by the judges, but I don't think mnet intentionally tried to make her look bad like they did with the chinese girls
@@daisyloveskpop they kinda did tho. She's One of the trainees that has the worst like dislike ratio on her fancam. They edited her like she didn't care about being an idol, like she's lazy. They also exaggerated the fact that she ruined the performance even tho she was probably the most competent vocalist in that team. Mnet did evil edited the hell out of her and like Cai Bing and Fu Yaning they didn't chose a random girl to do so: they chose a trainee that used to have no company to defend her.
Mnet hates Chinese trainees the most like, fu yaning, ling qiao, Wang ya Le, cai bing, them bitches where tryna do the same with sui ruiqi in the last episode, next its gonna be xiao ting
My first ever survival show was Youth With You season 2, I follow this show because I recognized a lot of the Chinese contestants and I want to see them strive, also because of Yu Jin. Let me tell you, the difference between gp999 and YWY2 is astounding. YWY2 wasn't perfect but at least their editing wasn't as manipulative as gp999. At this point I just hope that those who do not get to debut can use their time in gp999 as an opportunity to get more exposure and continue on with their careers. In the end, a lot of people who do not win talent competitions end up just as famous or even more famous than those who win.
You know what's funny? They tried so hard to get Cai Bing out of the top 9, and now they have Yaning knocking on the door as 10th place??? Lol. At this point I'm expecting either her or Ruiqi to be evil edited, maybe Ruiqi more because of her controversies and the K-netz not being very fond of her, while Yaning seems to be redeeming herself.
Even when Yaning has been slowly going up since the begging, mnet was probably calm since they made her the villian of the show even before it aired... Then the Liang Jiao live happend, the hate to Yaning mostly died AND BAM, she is a step away from getting into Top9 lmao
I’ll be honest, I never really noticed Dayeon that much until the whole Ice Cream leader thing. I mean I liked her KDA performance but for me Yeyoung was the best part of that performance. It makes me realize that they really do have a lot of power (duh) but I just feel bad for these girls cause they’re all just being thrown into the pit for netizens to pick apart and criticize when all they want to do is achieve their dreams 😭
@@Liyah2004 I like Dayeon, but I'm tired of seeing her face all the time. I wanna see other trainees too!!! I wanna see Cai Bing being a good person. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE!!!
No one is safe on this show🙄 but I had a question about what she said in the video which was that they don’t plan to debut Dayeon. So who will be the Korean center then?
Honestly why does mnet hate Chinese trainees, like fu yaning, ling qiao, Wang ya Le, cai bing, they tried to do the same to sui ruiqi in the last episode, next they gonna do xiao ting. Like what did Chinese do to mnet
The thing I hate most about this situation is that everybody gets hurt. Mnet are playing with these girls' careers and as for the foreign contestants I can only imagine how hard it is for them; especially the Chinese contestants seeing as they're constantly villainized. If the foreign trainees in the top 9 didn't have their popularity Mnet would've definitely found a way to kick them out of the lineup, because they don't really give af about who's talented.
@@melodieimwindy exactly. And people are still trying to say that Heesung was mistreated if anything it was the other way around he got an angel edit throughout the entire series
@@kaehui_ its not the members fault ofc but since originally they were from bighit its obvious the company wanted them to debut no matter what and what a coincidence that they made only the foreigners look really bad
The only thing I'll say to GP999 watchers: PLEASE DO NOT SEND HATE TO ANYONE. None of the girls deserve any hate: CaiBing doesn't deserve the hate. Yaning didn't deserve the hate. Bahiyyih doesn't deserve the hate. Dayeon didn't do anything, she doesn't deserve the hate. Please just keep a critical eye, not just for the program, but for everything. And think about this: do you all feel good with all the hate that there is in the community? I certainly do not. So, guys, just give support for the girls you like, and for those you don't, just forget them; none of them are going to change your life, they are just one more person in the world. Hate just leads to one thing: desperation. Anyways, hope y'all stay safe!
For real. Even at some points in this video I felt a little bit of "what's so great about Dayeon anyway" and it's like, she still choreographed that entire number on her own, performs like a boss and leadership (way overhyped by Mnet editing) is still very important in a group.
@Kei____ I also think some of this "we didn't see X person grow" is sort of weird take overall - if someone comes in at a 7.5 out of 10 and grows to an 8, it's going to feel like nothing has changed, especially compared to someone who came in at a 2 and went to a 5. You shouldn't be penalized for coming in practiced and capable.
It seriously pisses me off that they decided to use cai bing as the villain, at the beginning of the show THEY gave her the spotlight by showing how much sunmi praised her which of course made the viewers notice her and add her to their top 9 but then suddenly they decided to bring her whole career down? WHAT WAS THE POINT OF HYPING HER IN THE BEGINNING THEN?
3:12 this statement right here is truth. She was and is a great performer. She has no new improvement that mnet has to focus. I think so there is some game they are playing like make dayeon famous and enjoy her downfall by exposing a mistake of hers.
I feel like tomorrow Dayeon is gonna fall, she and Caibing are the rappers in snake I bet mnet will make them face each other and they will put one of them as the best and another as the one that made a very serious mistake in the perfomance
Right, like Kubo Reina and Bora. They both is amazing from the start and always consistent but Mnet never show the judge praising them, except the demo stage from second episode Mnet never show the planet masters praising them
She never needed to improve lmao, she was phenomenal from the very beginning. Mnet just manipulated her opportunities to sell some basic story instead of giving her the proper rank she deserved.
Dayeon and cai bing both aren't in my top 9 but i think they're both really talented and i'd be happy with either or both making the final lineup (But i just really want yeseo to make it)
Me too - she's so on the bubble and could fall out of the lineup but she's so cute, has strong stage presence and I think will help the group morale a lot with all the experience she has.
And it's unfortunate how many people always fall/got deceived from those evil editing. Please don't hate on the contestants its mnet that needs to be blamed.
Yeah... imagine looking at 24hrs x 1 week worth of videos of these girls just for an episode ...eventually they hv to come up with characters to put focus on... but don't be mad, i kinda watch this show for the drama 😅
I’m a Cai Bing stan so I’ve definitely been in the thick of the mnet produced drama. And I’m sure people will think I’m biased, but I have nothing against Dayeon and ultimately think she may become another victim of editing. I agree with your take that the most recent episode almost seemed like mnet was evil editing dayeon. I got whiplash considering the past episodes where she basically got a savior/angel edit.
@@miaschiapet I’ll literally miss Reina forever and if I was the CEO of an entertainment company I would’ve signed her the minute the elimination episode ended 😩
Watching this video and seeing Cai Bing's ranking now just breaks my heart. The put her drama on the forefront and made her team's performance an episode later than the other team. She was the only survivor even though it was the most iconic performance imo. So now everyone is gonna blame her for making her group get eliminated because she was her natural self. Nobody knew she wasn't a good leader but she made an effort and the product of it all should speak for itself rather than some petty drama. I still believe that the entire Salute team should've survived because even after all the hardship, they still showed their professionalism when they hit the stage. Give Cai Bing back her reputation and stop attacking the Chinese trainees, MShit.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Cai Bing's biggest mistake was remove herself away from Yujin. If she attached herself with Yujin like her life depended on it during the whole run of the show, she would've debuted, hell, maybe she might be the only Chinese in the line up right now if she did. Why? with Yujin she will have a stronger korean fanbase and a gazzilion international one because they will have shippers that will propel them to the top. Thus, if they became the popular love team of the show, mnet then will never bad light one of them. So, then, they will focus on tarnishing Suriqui and Yaning.
The sad truth. 😔😔😔 Buy if she stayed with Yujin we will not get that iconic Salute performance but once she leave Yujin she became the target and that's really sad that it have to happen that way 😔😔😔
To answer your last question, I wouldn't notice Dayeon, especially after her mistake in HYLT I kinda dropped her but then she was shoved down my throat and instead of liking her I felt more irritated how they promoted her at the expense of the dreams of other girls..
Literally me I do not hate and will never hate dayeon but seeing how they praised her so much while shitting on cai bing for two whole episodes was just not it for me They wanted her to have the attention and give the center to a Korean trainee not a Chinese trainee
@@kpopfanboy1810 it's unfair though that they had to manipulate it in order to push a Korean on top. They chose this setting in the first place and now they're cowarding off the voting system.
@@laweafome528 her company is Jellyfish, where Sejeong, Mina and Kim Minkyu are their artists. If what you think is true, then maybe this is MNET redemption to not put Minkyu in the final lineup of PDX101
I think Cai Bing volunteered as the leader because she hadn't seen the evil editing of her yet (maybe it hadn't aired yet)? She looked so down in the next episode, I can't imagine how much she was criticizing her every move.
The treatment the mnt gives to nationalities: Korean- doesnt matter if already debuted or not, you have to be interesting for each episode and it is a plus if you are younger, visual and can do any song.Notice how the koreans that get screentime are those who sing and dance well, have humuor or aegyo. Thats how many koreans that are main vocal or main dancer material were eliminated, for lack of votes and lack of screentime. They ofc have the priviledge over the others but between koreans contestants there is another competition each round. Now the question, if gp999 is different, why I feel some trainees companies have clearly power over the smaller nugu companies, but the audience doesnt know! Japanese- Compared to 48, you dont see much of that plot saying the jp trainees are worse than kr. But at the same time, the editing of certain mistakes or lack of screentime, portrays the few japanese contestants that survived the long run into either loved/hated or invisible to the audience. Many japanese trainees surpassed some krns for the reason jp audience is more interested than the K-netizens but you dont see equality. Japanese and chinese are fighting for screentime and these few scenes are overly edited by the storytelling, now that the mnt doesnt HAVE power over the votes. Exactly, bystanders. Chinese- the bitter end. They are targeted as too roughless, contestants who "create" chaos on purpose with koreans when the company didnt give any translators to jp and chinese trainees. Either the villains of the week or those who will be eliminated for certain bc the edition doesnt give them screentime.
We must also highlight that Chinese trainees are way more straightfoward and really speak their minds whenever it is necessary, a characteristic Mnet clearly doesn't like and tries to portray as disrispectful, selfish or just mean. Also, since they know they will get evil edited, most of them stopped giving their opinions or argue about something they don't like (clearly like what happened with snake group and how defeated they looked and felt because of the situation, a situation they HAD to adapt to or else they would become the villains). Btw, I love Chinese trainees because they are genuine and all have their very OWN identity and personality, something we should actually praise.
@@xcore914 Thank you, me and my friends have been giving this topic a lot a thought, because it is actually a very serious matter which is most related to cultural differences and unfair treatment towards non-native trainees
I think you'd like Youth with You 2. A lot of the C-trainees were there too and you'll see even more of that straight-forward honesty and no evil editing
It's very satisfying to listen to someone who can actually use their brain and has enough maturity to analyze context and the bigger picture without letting emotions take control over reason. I follow the same line of thought as yours. Mnet has its own devils and people can blame them as much as they want, but at the end of the day it's people decision to buy their plot or not. I agree that this is all that haters needed to spread their hate online, as well as young people who lack emotional maturity and are more gullible to buy this whole drama, which favors Mnet's plans. Don't get me wrong. Dayeon is obviously super talented and an excellent leader, but when I think about an idol group, I don't think about how talented they are, their leadership, vocals, dance skills, etc. Of course, all of these are essential for any artist in k-pop (otherwise, they wouldn't even be in the competition), but what I'm truly looking for is that stage presence and charisma that makes me buy the performance and makes my heart flutter (in a good way), which I think is something that comes off more naturally than via training. This is why I've been voting for Cai Bing since day 1 and still am. She might not be the best dancer, vocalist, and definitely not the best leader, but her stage presence is outstanding for me (and no, it's not just for her pretty face or fierce eyes). She brings the x-factor that makes me stan a group other than just liking them. I'm ok with her and other contestant making mistakes because that's how people grow and I'm confident that she'll learn from it. However, she's not that monster that haters are trying to convey online (much the contrary; she's a sweet girl) and she has shown it in many instances, even without much screen time after the whole ice cream x salute drama. The whole Dayeon favoritism is so obvious (and it's not her fault) but I can understand Mnet's thinking from a business perspective, which differs from the consumer perspective that me and most people hold. However, it's the viewers who are pissing me off and I'm not talking about the average Internet troll. There are many k-pop channels throwing unnecessary hate and disrespect towards Cai Bing as they did with Fu Yaning, which I think is such a despicable behavior. I can only imagine how sad I'd be if I were her or her family reading some of these comments. It's still too early to tell and I haven't watched ep.10 yet, but Cai Bing's massive drop in rank can only be explained by people who were voting for her dropping their vote. I'm okay with her not debuting because this is a tough competition and I'm a grown-ass man who keeps my emotions in check, but I'm not okay with the reason behind it if that ends up happening. I mostly afraid for her because of her age, as well as with the older participants, but it's undeniable that she was born to be on stage (as well as her chemistry with Yujin lol). In any case, I just wish the girls the best. I don't any reasons to villainize one and hate the other, even if Mnet wants me to. I can enjoy the best of the k-pop world without living in an obsessive, toxic fantasy. If anything, I wish that both Cai Bing and Fu Yaning could debut together with Yujin (but we all now how hard that would be). Sorry for the long text, K-pop gets me extra pumped up lol.
I think the thing that’s frustrating me most about this situation is the hate both girls are receiving. It’s MNET’s fault and people seem to be forgetting that. While Cai Bing’s leadership skills had a downfall, she is in no way a bad person. And Dayeon literally cannot control how much screen time she gets so people shouldn’t say not to vote for because of this. I support both girls and hope they debut!
Salute team being butchered by the public vote, leaving Cai bing as the survivor....mnt might have partied when the results were out, bc it made Cai Bing even more judged for her weaknesses( the scenes mnt aired were only the conflict scenes with caibing )
Dayeon and Yujin are the favorites but they don't force Yujin because they think she's save. They are worried about Dayeon so they are focusing too much on her.
I don’t care about center who gonna be then but pls let yujin n dayeon debut together. They’re deserve that and the ranking just crazy af. Pls pray n vote for them. They gonna collect more fan and gain more international fanbase
I was worried that mnet might find a way to push yujin to the final but not let her debut with the top 9. However recently I’ve noticed that not only is she secure in her position but mnet doesn’t seem to give her less attention so I think shes definitely making it into top 9. If dayeon or another korean trainee doesn’t surpass her I think she’ll get that center position too
They’re doing that so Shen doesn’t be number 1 and it’s not working for them because now she’s getting hate and backlash. It’s not even her fault either and I don’t even think she’ll debut because of it.
Last Question: I would not have noticed dayeon if MNET didn’t decide to force her down my/our throat(s). I mean yeah she is talented I guess but so are most of the girls on the show…
Dude you are definitely wrong there.she is More talented than any k trainee there ,she is original #1.but mnet purposely made dayeon their toy and showed like she is improving through episodes while she was literally talented as heck from start.this is what happens when people like you easily fall in trap of mnet.camera work ,clothes play a big role in getting attention ,they purposely give suyeon yellow pant .that's also the reason why only hikaru get the attention from boombahya when manami ,shana was also there,And did good Job ,but they didn't stand out because of camera work.
If Dayeon is the most talented among the trainees then what do you call about the others...like duh they would not be their if they are not talented and what about Hikaru, Xiaoting, Yurina, Yeseo and Yuengeon that are so talented and even fitted to be a center or lader even more great dancer than Dayeon, and if she is that talented then why she couldn't main a spot as a top 1, she may be talented but not enough to make her own self in top as you can see in the very first episode. Then Mnets pull out some strings again to promote her and starts to be recognize due to unfair screentime and bad editing to wards Cai Bing, always remember that lots of people here around the world are talented. Just saying, that's my opinion.😁✌️
@@dazzlelight6060 hikaru is #1 in Japan ,xiaoting in China ,yurina is Not even that talented ,her original rank was also low ,she is just stable and nothing else. And also younguen was #10 in k trainee And yeseo was also chosen for top 9 in 1st episode just because she manage to not panick and shown professionalism when her mic fell off.dayeon was literally #1 ,chosen by judge in k trainees for a reason.its the camera work during performance which give attention to trainees.and they purposely did dayeon dirty in 1st episode so they can make an underdog story.
@@heenadhurwe_ce325 maybe in first she is#1 because judges choose her but also cannot hide the fact that your spot is stable and also trainees trying their best to shine in every performance with their talent too, it's just that Mnets have to do a dirty and unfair move to other just to promote Dayeon, which makes everyone hate Dayeon because of it. Mnet literally sucks they just playing the girls talents and feelings. So for me I would not be shock if the next episode is full of drama and controversies. ( You know Korean show are for Koreans only) 😁✌️✌️✌️✌️
I believe that MNET even used the planet pass to benefit Dayeon. Everybody was so sure that Yeyoung would get it but Suyeon got it instead, good for her but Yeyoung has greater appeal/competitive edge which then would further divide the votes and MNET might end up with less Koreans in the top 9. I feel so bad for the other 2 planet passes (Xinyu & Kotone) but Suyeon got it the worst as their sacrificial lamb. Planet pass is useless for the contestants who gained it starting from the second elimination round, it only benefits those who are already/pushed to be at the top. The recent Bora ad proves this further, if she couldn't make it despite all those NATURAL-OCCURING leadership montages, even if she gets the pass she WILL BE GONE in the future. I am convinced they need her but the foreigners are tough to deal with, especially their former villain Yaning started to climb the ranks and my guess is that if General Fu got her foot in the top 9, it's her turn to be villify. Based on the teaser, I'm slightly worried for Xiaoting who could be their next target. If she ends up being one, I doubt they would be harsh on her but somehow Dayeon would look good in comparison through some dark magic in the editing room.
I think Xiaoting is already being targeted by mnet because in one of their teasers for the next episode, the planet masters are criticizing her.. but they always do that so maybe this will be the episode where it becomes a big deal idk??? But it seems like that’s where it’s going.
Sameeeee. I always watch vids like these cause I am so scared for Xiao Ting. They made her look bad but I know in reality it isn't that bad. They are just overreacting to make the Chinese contestants seem like the villain. It's so unfair knowing how hard she worked for this career only to end up being played by Mnet💔
i find hilarious how the very same people who constantly bash mnet for being manipulative are eating from mnet's hands like good little pets, and they'll do it again. They're not here for talent and good music, they're shallow and want drama, once the group debuts they'll go on to be a toxic stan who will attack every other idol and group for fun, if the drama isn't given to them for free they'll create their own.
@@00_png10 i've noticed this happens with all big 3/hybe and survival show groups, it's especially bad with girl groups I think, it's really scary. These stans have this false sense of entitlement and superiority that is just enhanced by putting so much of their existence and effort into something they don't even know if it'll be to their liking simply because it comes from a more privileged background, then they go on to attack anyone who isn't their so-called faves and is less fortunate in an industry that values money above all... It smells like pick me behavior, that sadly escalates to extremely harmful behaviors later on.
@@Vin.i tbh izones fans or whwtever they're called was or if i can recall was never toxic, probably because they were too focused loving the girls since they only have three? Years before disband, but this group is...hmmmm, i can already feel the toxicity of the fans
@@abel4811 Yeah, at least from my pov whatever toxicity they had was never big enough to put them with the others, even when the group was disbanding the fans were being more annoying about it than anything. This one though... I know they'll drag the groups I like and their fandoms into whatever bs they can come up with, and we have enough of those already. I expect a lot of racism and xenophobia too given the whole concept and how those are issues already, I'm not looking forward to that, nor to how bad things will get when once again mnet is shockingly revealed to have rigged everything, it'll be a mess.
i thought the edit of cai bing was SO insane…like i get that she was being a little bit abrasive about parts and being leader, but people pretend they wouldn’t act the exact same in her situation??? like girl is desperate to debut…of course you want as many parts as possible you want to show your talents lol i love dayeon, but the fact that mnet put her and cai bing directly against each other in the edit is so fucked. they shouldn’t make a villain of one girl just to boost the other. they’re real people not movie characters
Cai bing deserved better but people will keep hating on her. She is my bias but I don't know if it's a good idea if she debut's. She will receive so much hate from her antis. They don't even care if it was a communication problem or if she improves the hate is too strong at this point. I think most people will fall for mnets evil manipulation and that's really sad. I'm pretty sure I will not stan the group because they already kicked all of my favourites out and my still remaining favourites will most likely also be kicked out. I just hope that cai bing can start an acting career because she is probably too old to debut again. Mnet did her dirty but actually the haters which fall for Mnets manipulation ruined her career. I think it's too late the people will not wake up and realize that mnet is playing with them. (Well at least until their bias is evil edited)
Stan Cai Bing! I agree, she wouldn't be recieved well if she ends up in the final lineup and I think the damage done might be too much to recover from. But I'm sure that once the shows over and she's back in China she'll have a lot of opportunities. Chinese viewers probably know the shady stuff mnet has been pulling on her and some of the other c group members so they'll definitely support her to help right the wrong.
I prefer Cai Bing to debut! She has the effortless aura and charisma on stage,.. She improved so much! Sine Helicopter performance until Snake performance, I liked her ... I even watch her old videos and she is really talented. But MNET made her villain and spread evil-edited clips to drag her down. She's one of my top picks along with Xiao Ting, Rui Qi, Yujin, Yong Eun, Hikaru, Yeseo and Mashiro. With Kim Dayeon, I just noticed or knew about her during Ice Cream Performance. I never hated Dayeon but I felt sad of the fact that she was pushed too hard by MNET. Honestly she's not on my picks. To Cai Bing stans, lets do our best to vote for her. Since people started hating Cai Bing, I never ever lose my hopes and still support her because I know how MNET works with evil-editing. So sad with her ranking because it went down that fast like someone fell from the hill. I really hope that MNET will no longer put any of the girls into a situation that will hurt them. No more tears and pain for the girls. The girls are so talented and I know that it is hard to select for the final line up but I hope they will let the deserving girls to be on the final line up, considering talent, and improvements during the entire competition. Spread love for these girls, no hate...
i actually noticed dayeon from the start, even before the show her signal dance was actually the one that led me to watch the show because of her power there, i watched every single video and hers was the only one that really satisfied me, jia, jeongmin, and ezaki's ooo dance too
I can't help but laugh at how quickly kpop stans switched up on the whole Cai Bing situation lmao, it happens over and over... and over and over yet people never learn I guess. Thats why I try my best to vote for talent and skill in their performances/during practice, since I know how heavily edited "reality" shows are (esp with Mnet). But yeah the whole Dayeon situation has got me heated ngl, personally she never stood out to me and I honestly didn't know of her existence until ep 8 where they pitted Cai Bing and her against each-other as leaders for literally all the reasons you mentioned... The manufactured underdog storyline they gave her is so gross tbh and I genuinely feel like she only ranked as high as she did because of Cai Bings villan edit. I saw so many comments along the lines of "my respect for Dayeon after this ^^", "reminder to vote for Dayeon as leader", "just goes to show how talented Dayeon is" etc after that whole fiasco for a girl who previously no one batted an eye at. I just hope that people wake up to mnets editing once and for all since obviously this is not the first time and they're not at all shy about how they can sway the public opinion with a single bad/good edit. Incase you needed a reminder, the korean gp does NOT like foreign idols in their groups (go read some comments on naver or pann, yikes) so I recommend if you want to see ur fav J or C line member (excpet xiao ting, yurina or hikaru) in the final lineup, you have to vote for them regardless and expect some... uh... unsavoury editing. But fr tho, I just need to see my girl Bora in the final lineup or I will riot 👹
If the second theory is true then... Will people start voting for bora? was that their plan all along...? And.. To be honest... I didn't even know Dayeon was still in the competition till the whole story started... Omg...
@@SeasonalShiba I really hope they do, she's by far the best vocalist left in the competition and such a sweetheart... But yeah uhh I'm not sure why Mnet is pushing Dayeon so hard and setting her up the be the "centre" cos like... if half the people watching forgot about her existence until she was shoved down our throat, I mean- that's not really radiating "centre" to me
I believe she would have been in top 9 from start ,because literally she was #1 Korean trainee ,which judges give her ,it means she had a good stage presence, even when she performed all the trainees seems to amaze by her, mnet purposely gave yellow pant to suyeon ,so she can stand out ,if it was not yellow pant she would have been underrated .but mnet want to make a underdog story And they find a perfect Person dayeon to play with.and camera work play a big role in making a Person stand out ,manami ,shana all performed boobahaya with hiakru ,but no One noticed them there because camera was only focused on hiakru.
it's your problem if you haven't seen dayeon before. she's been consistently performing well since the start. just because you're too busy paying attention to someone else, doesn't make dayeon any less talented and deserving of the spot.
I know you said that I don't have to answer your question in the comment but I want to. So in my head without all of the editing to be honest I feel like I wouldn't notice her. When the OOO stage of each group was posted I didn't really watch the Korean Trainees often cause I was not really interested in Dayeon as much as I was interested in Xiaoting and Hikaru. I feel like without the editing I wouldn't notice her until ice cream and after then still I wouldn't be watching the show for her cause she isn't really one of my pick.
I feel bad for Dayeon because Dayeon actually did catch my attention and the fact that these theories make so much sense I feel bad that she didn’t get the attention she deserved but the attention they made her get but I really love Dayeon and I’m so happy for her even though she’s getting a lot of hate and I feel bad for the ones who worked so hard for the debut but couldn’t make it
This is kinda out of topic but I remember being so confused as to why Dayeon was still there after the first elimination, turns out she's a different Dayeon
I remember writing a "very neutral" comment about Cai Bing somewhere, then someone jumped in and started showering me with hatred as if i took their lunch. Well, it wasn't my fault or Cai Bing's fault that their biases got eliminated...
To answer the last question you asked about Dayeon, I would have never noticed her nor wanted to vote for her if Mnet didn't push her. My top choices were always the Chinese and Japanese trainees due to their talent, stage presence, and personalities. Doyeon isn't bad. In fact, she's a very well rounded idol and I thought she did amazing on the first audition performance. However, it never compelled me enough to go "Yes, this is the girl I want to support and root for for the next 12 episodes." Out of the Korean trainees, I would choose Bora, Jia (who's eliminated now sadly), or Chaehyun over Dayeon.
Dayeon is currently in my top 9, but I'mma be honest, she wasn't originally. I liked her initial performance and her role in HYLT, but she was always overshadowed by someone else (Suyeon and Jia for me). The Ice Cream performance changed that and I'm glad - it really brought out her potential as a leader and as a main dancer, which I had overlooked before. She deserves the praise she's getting. I hate how MNET played with her feelings at the beginning of the show. I hate how she cried because she didn't think she was enough to deserve the K01. And I hate how MNet is treating her right now - if it's to promote her or use her as a sacrificial lamb, it has attracted a lot of hate on her, and she's done nothing wrong to deserve it. Does she deserve to be the center? I would love for her to be n°1 overall, because she'd deserve it, but I think Xiaoting, Yurina, Yujin and Yeseo are more eye-catching than her, which is a quality the center must have. She stood out in the Ice Cream performance, yes, but she had a good 10ish seconds of solo stage. While dancing with her style for something she choreographed herself, she shines. In a more toned-down choreo fit for a song you have to sing live? I'm not sure. I could be wrong. We'll see? Would I have Dayeon on my top9 is MNet hadn't pushed her? Honestly, I don't know. Her performance and leadership in Ice Cream were fantastic and no one can deny it. But did I have her as a pick before that? No. She wasn't even in my top 10 for K Group. Now she is, though. I'd say she's in my top 3, after Youngeun and Bora. Top 4 while Jia was still in the show. Now, for Cai Bing. She's been in my top 3 (overall, not just for C group) since the second episode. I swear, having both Cai Bing and Dayeon in my top 9 is hell right now. As you said, a lot of Cai Bing stans are mad at MNet and how they treated both contestants and are taking it on Dayeon (indirectly or not) too. I hate it. Dayeon deserves nothing of the hate she's getting and I'm gonna be heartbroken if in the end she's gonna lose everything because of MNet's editing. Same for Cai Bing. Please, for anyone who's reading: don't throw hate on any of them. They both don't deserve it. They're just there for their dream and MNet is using them as pawns. I have watched the other seasons of Produce and NEVER was the evil editing so blatantly obvious and frustrating. But, then, they could actually rig the votes in the previous seasons, so. Plus, as you said, a lot of people are now finding mistakes in every video Cai Bing has ever made. People on Tiktok saying she doesn't dance well enough based on a random cover she made at home with her phone. Some said she was off beat while dancing Helicopter last week at the fanmeeting, while she was actually in sync with Yujin who was dancing NEXT TO HER. She has been aknowledged by both the masters (who have years of experience on their side), Yujin (an idol of 7 years who picked HER as a cellmate) and other contestants. But suddenly, she's just a pretty face for a problem that can she can fix easily as her Salute performance proved. "But she's a bad leader!!!" as if leadership is the only skill or quality you need to debut. Because all of the members from every kpop group ever are leaders, right? I hate this. I hate MNet. If I wasn't so attached to these girls by now, I would have dropped the show already.
To answer the last question: She wasn't on my radar in the beginning, and the ice cream edit actually had the opposite effect on me. It made me dislike her, because she was praised for being a good leader for giving every other girl a couple of seconds of center time, while that's the bare minimum a choreography should do? I think I wouldn't have minded as much if she were praised for her dancing, or choreographing (as you mentioned). Sure, it wasn't better than Salute, but it was entertaining as a performance. It didn't bring out everyone's dancing skills though, and whether the girls shined or not was up to them. It just sounds weird to me that them doing well was attributed to Dayeons leadership, instead of their own efforts (eg Yeseo was a great center in fate, no one is praising Xiaoting for it). Perhaps it's cause the members didn't know how to choreograph, maybe Bora-Manami would be more comparable. And yeah, everyone recognises Bora's efforts, but also that Manami herself did a great job. After that I was just trying to see if she could warm up to me, cause unlike with Izone, I kinda like the top 9 and want to follow them, so it's fine if she'd get in there. But mnet just had to ruin that by making a Dayeon themed episode. I'm not sure if my initial perception of her had a lot to do with mnet's editing (though I did like Cai Bing, but this was all before ep 7 happened, there could still be some rivalry bias). Getting 40% center time and being praised for her leadership was ehhhh to me. I also don't think she's an outstanding leader in all senses of the word, she seems to like doing things by herself. But can the members go to her when they're troubled? Maybe, I don't know. She could be very empathetic. Bora eg has shown she really goes above and beyond to help her teammates, and Mashiro and Ziyin always listen well to their teammates. Yujin, though I don't think she wants to be leader, always tries to make everyone feel comfortable. I think Dayeon is great at leading the choreographies though, and that's a real asset! But I doubt she'd become the leader of the final group, especially with the current top 9 (most of them are older/more experienced). So I don't know what mnet's game is highlighting her as a great leader all the time, when she should be praised for dancing and choreographing. Some people suspect that she's still being pushed so she can become P1 and final center, but then they should've pushed Yeseo if they wanted a Korean center. I still think she's going to be in the top 9, and I want to like her, but mnet is making it really hard for me :/. //rant
FRRRR THIS IS SO TRU. I WAS ALSO WONDERING WHY THEY DIDN'T PRAISE XIAO TING'S LEADERSHIP KNOWING THEY HAD A GREAT PERFORMANCE AND THE MASTERS TRIED TO SHY AWAY HER LEADERSHIP SKILLS. MORE REASONS TO HATE MNET
Yess, also yujin who had a great idea to make the performance more emotional and personal by dedicating it to the eliminated trainees. Or how mnet specifically showed cuts of cai bing not being a perfect leader but failed to show that she ended up giving up her center position as someone else could do it better.
@@noexonolife65 I actually fell for the trick at first like the parts where she "argued" herself being a leader and shutting other's opinions. But as I watched the entire performance of salute, I noticed that she had a really small killing part compared to what I expected. Even the other members had longer screen time compared to her.
yes yes yes!! when i watched the ice cream performance i loved it but i found it weird that dayeon made herself the center for almost the whole thing and then made everyone stand off to the side while she did the killing part AND a dance break on top of that.. but I just thought maybe it was because she choreographed the whole thing and lead the team, but still the other members aren’t her background dancers like?? 😭
Here is my in take that I wanted to let out for DAYS: Tbh Mnet already planned whom they are going to keep to debut and whom they will be sending home. But Mnet wanted to play smart cauz we all know they are a snake. They wanted to look "Innocent" So they did that voting reveal last week. The whole purpose of it is to tell us: "See, there are MAJOR changes in the votes!!" so when they announce the final line up with completely different people or mostly different people, it won't be such a surprise for us, they already hinted that there will be changes. Mnet already have a center and a leader and all in their mind.. they are about to carry out their plan.. tomorrow's ranking will show who they really want to debut in this group.. They are not allowing a Japanese or a Chinese member to be number one. Yurina dropping to 4 last ep, am sure Xiao will drop from 1 as well. And tbh I'm VERY certain a new K group face will show up in the top 9 and this will be the hint of the new center. I highly doubt it will be Mayah or Yeseo or Bahi. I love Dayeon, since the very first stage and tbh she faced the most unreasonable treatment all along. She was criticized for no reason in the demo stage, they wanted her to do more of what?? do magical splits or fly in the air? her team lost in HYLT and with Ice cream. I feel bad about her tbh, she has been toyed and hurt multiple times and now ppl are hating on her because of Mnet plan? I highly think that Dayeon won't even be the center of the group, they might do what they did with Chaeyeon to her and leave as number 9. Also, The center must be someone so young and "Visually stunning" this is what the Korean public likes. And Dayeon doesn't have that aura to begin with.
And right now, I see too many people actually being too hateful to Dayeon. Ppl keep saying that she is only a good leader and nothing else is especial about her? She is really talented as a dancer, and her rap is good as well. Her solo part in Ice Cream was actually great idk why would anyone think she is only good as a leader and nothing else. What happened to Chai Bing was wrong but taking it out on Dayeon and stripping her from her entitled praise??? Her good leadership resulted into a great performance. One of the best on the show so far. I get ya all angry but she didn't even do anything to receive all of this downgrade
as k-center in the theme song, so many people were criticizing her performance for being too bland compared to hikaru and xiaoting. at that point, we can't say she was being edited in a certain way bc all three centers had basically equal opportunities.
thank you for doing this video! in the ep of leadership between dayton and caibing, everytime there was a problem with caibings group, dayeon was shown doing well in her group. lol
Now assuming that theory 1 is Mnet’s goal I think they backfired on their plan completely. I see people who are now voting for Xiaoting even harder. This is on Reddit so it’s not representative of the whole fandom but people like Dayeon there but because of Mnet pushing her way too much, they probably want a Korean center, their pride won’t allow them to have a foreigner as a center (since they rigged that in P48). So people now know Mnet’s tricks and will do the opposite of what they want since they can’t rig the votes now. If theory 2 is right, then all that effort they did to push Dayeon just to see her fall hard is pretty stupid of them. They want more Koreans in the lineup…which brings me to my theory of this. Knowing how Mnet is, they’re going to push for Bora (my main k pick) to replace Shana in the top 9. Bora has been getting quite a bit of screen time + angel edits. She’s a Korean who has main vocal material. Now that people can see their interim rank, they're gonna be voting hard for their faves who are under rank 17. They're going to evil edit the shit out of the Snake team because of so many c-girls being there and I believe Yaning is their next target (again..) since she’s super close to the top 9. Xiaoting is also a target here. Mnet knows she's practically guaranteed to debut the only thing they can do is drop her down enough not to become the center of the final lineup. But with all things aside, the bigger, real question needs to be asked here: if they were going to do all of this bs, why didn’t they make the show for only K-girls to join? Why did they add c-girls to only evil edit them + knowing the prejudice some Koreans have for them? Why did they add J-girls to be side characters for the K girls? I think I know why; China has been cracking down on idol shows so because there’s not going to be more Chinese idol shows in the future, Mnet decided what a great idea would be to add c-girls here? More money for them. They get to join a Korean idol show for a LOW chance of making it to the lineup, genius!! And oh we probably need to add J girls so their only purpose is to compare them to the J-contestants back in P48! But now that their purpose has been served they've been reduced to side characters. But mnet knows most Koreans lost faith in their survival shows... LET'S MAKE INTERNATIONAL VOTING A THING! They gotta rack in those views. From the start, we've been played but it's now too late to back out. Gotta see this shit storm to the end, I know I am.
Exactly! Why make this a show w/ Chinese and Japanese members if they want majority Korean? I can't speak for every Chinese person out there, but my Chinese friends and I (hate us all you want) strongly support the Chinese girls and virtually no other contestants. This is a show w/ international voting and the population of people who speak Chinese or are in some way culturally connected FAR outnumber Koreans. Of course the last top 9 was majority Chinese, what did they expect? They're contending w/ China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, and not to mention all the Chinese speaking people living outside of Asia. They shouldn't have been surprised that Xiaoting would dominate the rankings. In fact, they were stupid to underestimate Chinese support for the Chinese contestants.
they probably had to ask for jtrainees and ctrainees bc after the rigging scandal, i wouldn't be surprised if no other company wanted to be involved in that and refused to send out trainees. i heard even with pdx101, mnet tried asking for trainees from MANY companies but were rejected or denied 😳
i think it could also due to them wanting to catering up to the international viewers. either to make the show more “unique” (see how through every produce series, each of them must have a tweak on the concept?). or simply becuz after the scandal, they ain’t shit in the knetz views so now they gotta expand the viewers to make it up
I always voted for Dayeon!! Since day 1! 😔 I do think she's talented, despite her lack of presence, which I really feel M-net set her up to fail, from her outfits to the camera work etc. I do hope she debuts, but after hearing RUMOURS about how MNET is planning to have a new Produce 101, and that GP999 doesn't even have a company that they'll be under yet, suddenly, I don't want any of my top picks to debut. I genuinely feel like MNET is just using the girls of GP999 to see if the public would trust them again, and if we do, they'll slowly reignite interest for a new produce series, which by the looks of it, it seems to be the case, and we were played into their hands, all the evil editing at the cost of the girl's image and careers is just plain cruel.
I'm gonna be honest here: I don't watch GP999 but I do follow updates about the show simply to support Yujin. Without watching anything but clips, update videos, and opinion videos like these, I've come to like a lot of girls like Yurina, Mashiro, FYN, Cai Bing, and Xiaoting. I even recognized a lot of underrated trainees like Reina, Manami, Luo Fei, and Bora. I watched PD48 and only this week did I find out that Dayeon was in there too. No hate to her, but it seemed really weird to me for some reason that someone who did not have a lot of presence and traction suddenly rose up in rankings practically overnight. Did I miss something? Was she here all this time, and I just did not notice? And I watched this video and I was like "Ah, I see what's happening." Even without watching the show I knew of the top girls, so you could imagine my shock when she OUTRANKED the likes of Yujin and Yurina during the interim check. I was not even aware of her existence, and just watching the Ice Cream performance alone, it was Myah, Ririka, and Bahiyih (mostly due to the traction she has) that caught my eye. I really hope that she can fight against the sh*tshow that will inevitably come raining down on her. Reminds me of the same thing that happened with Chaeyeon got transferred to 1000% group and Kaeun + Kirin got the brunt of the hate when it honestly shouldn't have been a big deal.
the only Chinese contestants who aren't evil edited is shen xiaoting because she's c01 for a long time and always will be and wen zhe she is fluent in korean she knows mnet's trick not fluent in korean they'll edit your words so wen zhe went out of her way to learn the language
I've always been a fan of talent over looks, so Dayeon always stood out to me. I will agree though, 100%, Mnet messed with the Chinese contestants in such an awful way. So many I was excited to see return from Youth With You 2. I honestly would've still kept Dayeon because stage presence can be learned as one gets more confident, like with Chaeryeong from ITZY. The entire time watching the Cai Bing/Dayeon situation I was upset because I knew Cai Bing would struggle and honestly, I just wanted to see her focus on herself and her performance because she was also in my final lineup.
you pointed out exactly what i was thinking this whole time but didn't want to confess: no, i personally think i wouldn't have noticed dayeon at all if she wasn't being pushed to the front so intensely.
Tbh korea dosn’t have good history/political relationships with china. China only changed their kpop entertainment laws very recently (last 1-2 months), but kpop has been debuting a very small amount of chinese trainees for years
I loved Dayeon from the start (especially bc of her O.O.O fancam), and I agree that the interim check of their ranks were unnecessary. Not only would it attract hate, but because I know that most international fans gets so complacent when their fav is on the top and wanting to save another trainee so they start voting for that trainee. By the way, I also hate that narrative because they're literally exchanging Dayeon's (and other trainees') mental health just for the sake of attracting interest from the public. I would rather have Dayeon (and Yeyoung) get complimented and get that top 9 candidate sticker instead of pushing that no progress excuse.
no because it's threw! i literally didnt even realize that dayeon was in the show until ice cream, because since taht episode mnet was pushing her saur hard
After watching this, i just realized i got baited by mnet into liking dayeon when my actual purpose watching the show is to support yujin and ziyin only.
Girl I don't even keep up with this show but the minute I saw your notification I came and ate this sh*t up.....You're so engrossing in your commentary I could literally listen to u talk about anything....
like idk but this show and the fans just feel so siniphobic to me. from evil-editing the c-group, koreans being racist (nothing new) and int fans claiming the c-group is just too damn problematic to debut. also, i've read in twitter that the chinese girls started to have lower confidence, "cai bing doesn't speak that much now" shocked me the most. mnet better not make another survival with chinese contestants. their treatment towards them is dehumanizing
Mnet and Korean survival shows as a whole are just damn toxic, I guess. And yes, compared to the earlier episodes, Ruiqi and Fu Yaning had more confidence than now. Eff Mnet
ty for this amazing video! As many ppl. already said, why are they hating on Chinese contestants so much? After today's episode (October 15th) I felt so sad because J and C contestants got eliminated...
I really like Cai Bing regardless. Been checking other shows she's joined and there were no probs. Her combo rap with Hikaru is lit fire! They could definitely make a great rap line :(
3 episode of shoving Dayeon's screen time and boom got the final lineup. I actually like her after her ice cream performance but after several episode was very full of her I think mnet kinda force it too much. Some trainees have less screen time than Dayeon's mom lol
Nah cause I was a full on Cai Bing supporter... I'd vote for Cai Bing and Wen Zhe and others.. Then the evil editing of her really made me believe she was a villain... like how tf can i be so stupid
To be fair Dayeon was my first pick since day one. I loved her and Yeyoungs part in KDA and Seins part in Crazy. But since 2 of 3 were eliminated the only person that I supported strongly was Dayeon. Later I also had Xu Ziyin but she left due to health reasons so through the show Dayeon was always my top1 because the one that could compete and catchend my attention were eliminated one by one.
Yes I would still vote for Dayeon. I dont really watch the show passionately (I just watch the final performances) unlike Produce 48 because let's be real, MNET sucks and is just down right evil. I noticed Dayeon from their first performance/demo stage without the Judge's reactions because a friend of mine who was an avid watcher of the show told me that they didn't show all contestants. I listed all my favorite contestants and the one(s) that I was most fond of was Dayeon (and Hikaru, as well as Jia). Dayeon's dancing caught my eye, as well as her stable rapping. I do believe that Cai Bing actually dominates over her in terms of stage presence though. But her energy is what is keeping me from not swaying away from her lane.
you are one of the smartest people i’ve ever heard when it comes to this stuff like bro I’d never consider like any of this to be evidence to something lol
I am not kidding. I didn't even know her name when she was K01 and when she performed HYLT. She was obviously outshined by Xia yan, her stage presence wasn't really there for me to notice and xia yan's rap was 100% better. I was shocked when out of nowhere there was this leader type girl who performed Ice cream pretty well and was also shocked that in the last episode she was very blatantly being pushed by mnet. I wouldn't have noticed her at all if she didn't have this story arc.
actually dayeon's rap was better than xia yan (even tho xia yan had a better presence), xia yan sounded in short of air to breath in the end of her lines but her presence make it cover it
Why the hell is no one talking about my girl Masahiro.... Queen lead 3 completely different teams in 3 different missions and won all 3 WON ALL 3 OF Them 🤯🤯🤯... And all I get to hear is how good of a leader Dayeon is when this Born Leader exists SHUT UP!!!!!!
tbh never noticed Dayeon until the last episode. She felt like a background character to me compared to everyone else. I know she got the skills but she's like a ghost in the middle of a crowd. Mnet really pushed her hard so she could debut. I didnt even noticed her much in the perfomance of ice cream, while watching the only thing i was thinking was why she had a 30 sec solo dance ( like, is her stage presence that bad that they had to take everyone out of the stage so she could be seen during her solo ) even tho she was the center already. I dont really hate her but i dont know if its the right time for her to debut yet, it feels like she needs to train stuff like charisma and facials more. I find it funny tho that they said her leadership was the best but she's not even the leader or the vice-leader in kepler lol
Now, I think Mnet made a mistake abt this Chinese-ban theory. They wanted to end both Cai Bing, FYN and Su Ruiqi all together BUT they didn't count with the public being revolted at the fact masters sugested FYN to take Su Ruiqi 1 day prior the performance, knowing she and SRQ would have to practice it all over. They managed to take Cai Bing from the top9 but the public, specially international, got into a rage and voted for FYN. She now owns some of the most views fancams from the entire show. The fact Yujin went to dance with her during the fanmeet also probraly wasnt in Mnet's plans. They couldn't cut a scene from the most popular member, so they ended up showing them actually being friendly with each other. Basicly, FYN already had talent, was pretty and still have place to improve, now she is also seen as a nice girl to Yujin. FYN ended Mnet's entire carrer, no one expected that plot twist after she made a mistake in her high note but well... Instead of hating her, the public felt sorry and she became even more popular than before. I'm not sure Mnet will manage to cut this girl out anymore, they messed up.
Thank you for this video. I could also get whats going on but you organized it so well. As a viewer of gp999, i was prepared for the worst. This is why i literally only look at the performances to determine who i vote for. What goes on behind the scenes is something i watch for enjoyment but if it gets intense i tend to skip it. Right now, im hoping they give planet pass to Bora and I hope people vote for Dayeon. She is talented,
Well because she deserve the hype. Hate those people throwing hate towards dayeon just because cai bing got elimanated and saying she's a sacrifial lamb for dayeon sake. It's so annoying too. We can't do anything if she's MNETs favorite.
Infact Mnets moves towards Dayeon may cause her trouble or hates from other fans, so in this situation this is Mnets fault ,maybe people will have nothing to do in Mnets doing in promoting Dayeon but this probably fire directly to Dayeon.
Dayeons an amazing trainee and I was rooting for her but after that episode where the girls visit her mum's home I couldn't vote for her anymore. It's just so strange.
They finished Fu Yaning and Su Rui Qi in ONE EPISODE! Korea already prefers Cai Bing over them both and today's episode nailed that in the coffin...
I hope fu yaning debuts in another group which will be permanent and more successful than this one cause it's obvious mnet really doesn't want her😔😒
@@cb6899 mnet really thinks we are that stupid
Fu yaning- ling jiao- Wang ya le- cai bing-sui ruiqi are all done. Only xiao ting is left for mnet to ruin.

Yet they be the ones preaching about how they want kpop idols to be treated like humans when even they don't treat them like humans at all
Also what do you guys think about fu yaning and cai bing fighting for yujin lmao
Yuning vs Yubing
Mnet does too many people dirty. Barely giving screen-time to Japanese trainees which is why a Japanese trainee is rank 1 (I'm not discrediting Yurina btw). Chinese trainees are constantly the 'villains', whereas the Koreans are great leaders, angelic, the victims (only applies to those Mnet wants to debut).
I agree with you.
1. no comment. I just agree
@@Random-rv3us I didn't watch her fancam. Thank you for the information.

Yeah haha they’ll never let yaning debut, it was obvious the second she bacame the villain in the very first episode
yaning is most likely lower than rank 10, those votings shown was only two days after voting started.
They were both villainized🙄

I’ll be honest, I never really noticed Dayeon that much until the whole Ice Cream leader thing. I mean I liked her KDA performance but for me Yeyoung was the best part of that performance. It makes me realize that they really do have a lot of power (duh) but I just feel bad for these girls cause they’re all just being thrown into the pit for netizens to pick apart and criticize when all they want to do is achieve their dreams 😭

Wow i like your comment. So open my eyes n mind.
I didn't read your comment I just want to say that your Kinchan pfp is pog
@Kei____ I also think some of this "we didn't see X person grow" is sort of weird take overall - if someone comes in at a 7.5 out of 10 and grows to an 8, it's going to feel like nothing has changed, especially compared to someone who came in at a 2 and went to a 5. You shouldn't be penalized for coming in practiced and capable.
@@FlyingPancake0390 literally.
It seriously pisses me off that they decided to use cai bing as the villain, at the beginning of the show THEY gave her the spotlight by showing how much sunmi praised her which of course made the viewers notice her and add her to their top 9 but then suddenly they decided to bring her whole career down? WHAT WAS THE POINT OF HYPING HER IN THE BEGINNING THEN?
because cai bing wouldn't have received this much hate if she wasn't popular in the first place.

She was the only survivor even though it was the most iconic performance imo. So now everyone is gonna blame her for making her group get eliminated because she was her natural self. Nobody knew she wasn't a good leader but she made an effort and the product of it all should speak for itself rather than some petty drama. So, then, they will focus on tarnishing Suriqui and Yaning.

she looks so sad compared to the first few episodes :( she’s my top pick, i feel so sad
MY vote will go to Cai Bing and will always be for Cai Bing.
The treatment the mnt gives to nationalities:
Korean- doesnt matter if already debuted or not, you have to be interesting for each episode and it is a plus if you are younger, visual and can do any song.Notice how the koreans that get screentime are those who sing and dance well, have humuor or aegyo.
@@kpop2338 Sadly they’re prolly just gonna rig it again like Sakura 🤧
You summed it up well!

How do you feel now tho? 👀 would be interesting to know.
I feel like yujin's gonna end up being the centre. It's the only thing that makes sense in terms what mnet and fans want.
Dayeon and Yujin are the favorites but they don't force Yujin because they think she's save. They are worried about Dayeon so they are focusing too much on her.

( You know Korean show are for Koreans only) 😁✌️✌️✌️✌️
I don’t hate Dayeon, I just hate being manipulated and they’re using her to do that to me. I’m literally so tired of it
I believe that MNET even used the planet pass to benefit Dayeon.
Yeyoung really deserved to survive 😭
I think Xiaoting is already being targeted by mnet because in one of their teasers for the next episode, the planet masters are criticizing her.. but they always do that so maybe this will be the episode where it becomes a big deal idk??? But it seems like that’s where it’s going.

@@00_png10 i've noticed this happens with all big 3/hybe and survival show groups, it's especially bad with girl groups I think, it's really scary.

Same for me
I noticed her since the KDA performance, and yeees Jia was soo good too, i was so sad when she was eliminated.

The way people are turning on Dayeon now like it's going to restore Cai Bing's rank...
I feel bad for Dayeon because Dayeon actually did catch my attention and the fact that these theories make so much sense I feel bad that she didn’t get the attention she deserved but the attention they made her get but I really love Dayeon and I’m so happy for her even though she’s getting a lot of hate and I feel bad for the ones who worked so hard for the debut but couldn’t make it
Dayeon is talented and I can't deny that fact but when you put caibing beside her, she won't stand out.
I told myself every survival show I will never play into their evil editing. And I did...again!
This is kinda out of topic but I remember being so confused as to why Dayeon was still there after the first elimination, turns out she's a different Dayeon
Y'all... Vote for Kim Bora
I didn't notice Dayeon until the ice cream thing bc they basically made her main character so yeah mnet sneaky
Even the other members had longer screen time compared to her.
fr its hard to accept
yes yes yes!! when i watched the ice cream performance i loved it but i found it weird that dayeon made herself the center for almost the whole thing and then made everyone stand off to the side while she did the killing part AND a dance break on top of that.. but I just thought maybe it was because she choreographed the whole thing and lead the team, but still the other members aren’t her background dancers like?? 😭
Here is my in take that I wanted to let out for DAYS:
Tbh Mnet already planned whom they are going to keep to debut and whom they will be sending home.
I get ya all angry but she didn't even do anything to receive all of this downgrade
the only k center would be yeseo tbh
- young
- visual
@@user-dd6zg9jh7p or Yujin, But i guess mnet wants the youngest to be the center
At this point it’s more interesting trying to figure out how MNET is trying to manipulate the viewers rather than it is watching the actual show.
I've noticed Dayeon ever since her k/da performance and was shocked to see she wasn't a candidate
Mnet is playing on her
If dayeon won't make it to the final lineup mnet will give us *one final planet pass*
Mark my words
there is no planet pass in the final
@@rchiv3 we can't know that for sure
hahaha yeah, its not that impossible
@JOY TO THE WORLD check out the new top 9 if you haven't seen it already. It will blow your mind
as k-center in the theme song, so many people were criticizing her performance for being too bland compared to hikaru and xiaoting. at that point, we can't say she was being edited in a certain way bc all three centers had basically equal opportunities.
"THE PUBLIC LOST THEIR SH*T!" We felt that.
thank you for doing this video! in the ep of leadership between dayton and caibing, everytime there was a problem with caibings group, dayeon was shown doing well in her group.
In fact, they were stupid to underestimate Chinese support for the Chinese contestants.
they probably had to ask for jtrainees and ctrainees bc after the rigging scandal, i wouldn't be surprised if no other company wanted to be involved in that and refused to send out trainees. i heard even with pdx101, mnet tried asking for trainees from MANY companies but were rejected or denied 😳
i think it could also due to them wanting to catering up to the international viewers. either to make the show more “unique” (see how through every produce series, each of them must have a tweak on the concept?). or simply becuz after the scandal, they ain’t shit in the knetz views so now they gotta expand the viewers to make it up
its kinda funny bcs now in bp the center is a chinese 😭😭😭 redemption
I always voted for Dayeon!! Since day 1! 😔 I do think she's talented, despite her lack of presence, which I really feel M-net set her up to fail, from her outfits to the camera work etc. I do hope she debuts, but after hearing RUMOURS about how MNET is planning to have a new Produce 101, and that GP999 doesn't even have a company that they'll be under yet, suddenly, I don't want any of my top picks to debut.
I genuinely feel like MNET is just using the girls of GP999 to see if the public would trust them again, and if we do, they'll slowly reignite interest for a new produce series, which by the looks of it, it seems to be the case, and we were played into their hands, all the evil editing at the cost of the girl's image and careers is just plain cruel.
i feel like gp999 is like the fromis9 of this season
Dayeon's outfit are the worst,
I'm gonna be honest here: I don't watch GP999 but I do follow updates about the show simply to support Yujin.
I hope at least Yaning gets to be the 3rd c-girl in the group, she would have survived the evil edit that cai bing couldnt :((
I've always been a fan of talent over looks, so Dayeon always stood out to me. I will agree though, 100%, Mnet messed with the Chinese contestants in such an awful way. So many I was excited to see return from Youth With You 2. I honestly would've still kept Dayeon because stage presence can be learned as one gets more confident, like with Chaeryeong from ITZY. The entire time watching the Cai Bing/Dayeon situation I was upset because I knew Cai Bing would struggle and honestly, I just wanted to see her focus on herself and her performance because she was also in my final lineup.
you pointed out exactly what i was thinking this whole time but didn't want to confess: no, i personally think i wouldn't have noticed dayeon at all if she wasn't being pushed to the front so intensely.
tbh, without cai bing's "villain" edit, we wouldnt have noticed dayeon
I read somewhere that since the group won't be able to promote a lot in China, MNET pushes more k-group girls and that honestly makes sense.
Tbh korea dosn’t have good history/political relationships with china. China only changed their kpop entertainment laws very recently (last 1-2 months), but kpop has been debuting a very small amount of chinese trainees for years
@@ChibiDesigns yup, that's kind of my thought process too!
that's fine, but the evil editing of so many of the chinese contestants was horrible
Contestants even get screentime with just talking/calling Dayeon, MNET!
no because it's threw! i literally didnt even realize that dayeon was in the show until ice cream, because since taht episode mnet was pushing her saur hard
After watching this, i just realized i got baited by mnet into liking dayeon when my actual purpose watching the show is to support yujin and ziyin only.
There's no such thing. It only lets you discover new trainees or idols. You can only decide if you like them or not.

I will be honest. I didn’t notice until recently that she was one of the Korean centers.
like idk but this show and the fans just feel so siniphobic to me. from evil-editing the c-group, koreans being racist (nothing new) and int fans claiming the c-group is just too damn problematic to debut. also, i've read in twitter that the chinese girls started to have lower confidence, "cai bing doesn't speak that much now" shocked me the most. mnet better not make another survival with chinese contestants. their treatment towards them is dehumanizing
Then the evil editing of her really made me believe she was a villain... like how tf can i be so stupid
i didn’t watch the last few episodes of gp99 but i didn’t find out who dayeon was until the final line up😭😭
To be fair Dayeon was my first pick since day one.
Please vote for Kim Bora! She's a triple threat and an amazing person. She deserves to debut 💜
girl literally got praised for breathing...
i'd rather watch this video 22 times than 3 months worth of 11 episodes of "reality" show
Yes I would still vote for Dayeon.
Mnet survival shows are exactly like Squid Game
“..cost us what would have been one of the best boy band groups to date”
Louder for the people in the back
I am not kidding. I wouldn't have noticed her at all if she didn't have this story arc.
actually dayeon's rap was better than xia yan (even tho xia yan had a better presence), xia yan sounded in short of air to breath in the end of her lines but her presence make it cover it
I will never forget Msnake for what happened to X1 they were such an amazing group 😭
Why the hell is no one talking about my girl Masahiro.... Queen lead 3 completely different teams in 3 different missions and won all 3 WON ALL 3 OF Them 🤯🤯🤯...

tbh never noticed Dayeon until the last episode. I find it funny tho that they said her leadership was the best but she's not even the leader or the vice-leader in kepler lol
they went to Dayeon’s house? what why 😭 that’s such weird treatment.
My One 'K' vote goes to Yeseo and Yeseo only.
She is talented,
I honestly don't see the hype around Dayeon. Not hating her but I hate that people hated Cai Bing just to uplift Dayeon, it's so annoying.
Cuz she’s very talented.
