I love all of the settings Danny went to. Laying on a bed texting the fake boyfriend, in a dark room for the ghost thing, and my personal favorite, in a public park in a stroller for the mom simulator.
Danny wondering why the AI misspelled the dog breed and wondering if it was actually a human and then actually doing that himself a year later is hilarious
For anyone just getting here and is reading the comments confused: When Danny originally uploaded this video, it was sponsored by BetterHelp. Gregs pointed out to him that it was a controversial company, so he removed that part of the video, which is why if you're just seeing the video now, you likely have no idea what the comments are all talking about.
The fact that the horse game says "Continue" instead of start might be the most accidentally terrifying feature ever. Indicating that I've spent time with this horse before but not remembered it is some psychological horror type crap
I imagine it's just lazy programming, they didn't bother making it check whether or not you've played before so it just goes to the "continue" screen automatically. (Source: am computer science student, have definitely made similar lazy solutions myself, lol)
i honestly admire danny so much for having the confidence to just sit in a field in a stroller and bib to film part of a video not caring if other people see him or not
mad respect for the man on the trail in the background like imagine you've had a long week taking care of your grandchildren, decide to go on a walk, and see a grown ass man with a mic in a stroller wearing a bib. he's sitting in the field, talking to a camera, and you hear the word mommy at least five times... and you just keep walking lmao
Just a warning about betterhelp: I asked for a trauma therapist (I've since read that that's not necessarily something they help with, even if you can check a box for it) and when I described my issue, the first thing she asked was something along the lines of, "Are you sure it's that big of a deal" and proceeded to send me CBT worksheets. Of course there's bad therapists outside of betterhelp, but I've seen plenty growing up, and they've never victim blamed me lol. Just look out for yourselves, and know therapists aren't always right.
I hope you’re okay, your trauma is valid even if it seems like ‘’its not that big of a deal’’ . Don’t be too hard on yourself and take care of yourself. Don’t listen to fake ass therapist who just wants your money,, i hope you found better therapy since then💞 take care Greg
@@Phoenixifyable Just anxiety worksheets, basically. I guess she wanted me to do my therapy myself, instead of talking me through stuff. I've since found a therapist I love, and have been seeing her for most of a year, so it's definitely gone up from there
20:03 the amount of times Danny said "mommy" in public while wearing a bib and sitting in a stroller was impressive. I just wonder why he looked off camera.
Only Danny would sit, read, & discuss a game description (that was made by the developers of said game) that admits to the main engine of the game not functioning correctly at times & then proceed to download the game.
As a mom, I can confirm that the mommy simulator is very accurate. The cooking challenge is so realistic! The one NPC I always see outside is named Phil. He's harmless, don't worry.
Oh! My mommy told me about her NPC Gerald. Sometimes I see him on our way to the store. I’m not sure if he’s as harmless as Phil, he’s kinda creepy.. Also, I’m very sorry that your kids complain about your food being undercooked! I would never do that to my mommy!!
I have had a horrible experience with Better Help firsthand and I didn’t even know about the controversy surrounding the company. Thank you gregs for bringing awareness to the cause and Danny if u ever see this please know the gregs have all used our critical thinking skills and aren’t going to be offended or mad about something most of us didn’t even know of ourselves!! much love from st. charles ❤️❤️
huh? i dont use the app but whats wrong with it? just cuirious bc i dont see any comments explaining it, just ones talking about how theres a controversy without saying what it is. edit: wording
@@d3adxb0yxwalk1ng there's one literally right below your comment (at least the order the comments are showing for me) from L W, posted 4 hours ago, with 2.7K likes. here's the text of that comment for you: Vouch for other Gregs speaking out against Better Help. They are without the careful legal restrictions of an actual registered therapist and can therefore share your information (not bound by medical privacy). They also don't have professional trauma therapists despite pretending that they do. It's really dark. @@d3adxb0yxwalk1ng from what i've seen people have said the therapists they've matched with were rly unprofessional and not helpful at all. in one instance i saw someone saying how their therapist got mad at them and started yelling at them or something... kinda weird

Literally just scroll my dude lol Get your money, but everyone here should know that Better Help's user agreement circumvents your HIPPA rights, does not guarantee your privacy, will share your medications, medical history, and app usage as they see fit. They also restrict therapist's ability to interact (with things like word count limits for chats), and don't pay them a fair wage. Especially as we teeter on the right to medical privacy, be careful out there.
8:00 this is the way for some countries, like france!! the floor we call our first floor is "le rez-de-chaussée" (meaning the main floor) and what we call the second floor is "le premier étage" (meaning the first floor)
I've never actually heard "main floor" (I don't know where the game got that from). In the UK at least, the ground-level floor is called "ground floor", and the first floor (in the UK) is the equivalent to your "premier étage"
So no ones gonna talk about the amazing background switches Danny did for each game??? My favorite was the baby in the stroller outside, specifically because of that old man in the background and the dog.
i love that danny has created a community where gregs felt comfortable speaking up and expressing their concerns, and they were able to do so in a non-aggressive way. everyone was so respectful and it's really lovely and refreshing. big shout out to greg and to danny for taking everyone's feedback and acting on it.
Whenever I see other yotubers sponsored by better help, the comments don't often respond like this. I find it interesting, and it's actually a good thing this comment section is calling it out! This means Danny has facilitated a place where people are free to say their concerns and opinions.
i was really shocked looking at these comments because it seems like every youtuber nowadays is sponsored by better help and no one's said anything. i just think about the fact that every single episode of markipliers podcast seems to be sponsored by betterhelp
I think a lot of ppl are just not aware of the issues with better help, I've seen a lot of UA-camrs sponsored by them too and never really thought anything of it. I only found out that they're sketchy from the comments now, probably along with a lot of other viewers
Lmfao I cried at 20:38that dude couldn’t have walked in at a better time, it’s weird enough seeing a grown man sitting in the middle of a field dressed like a baby but he walked as Danny says “if you wanna kill your family and swap them out for new people-“
By the way, a "Lich" is an actual thing. It is a powerful skeleton spellcaster in D&D. They are actually very hard to kill and very unlucky to come across.
“Very hard to kill” they’re people that are technically already dead, and are now deathless. Liches usually have a kind of tether called a phylactery that binds their “soul” (or similar) to their undead body. Generally a lich with an intact phylactery can’t be killed. The process of becoming a lich is deliberate and quite difficult. It’s like. Suiciden’t Special interest stuff 😂 they’re usually chaotic evil coded but my martyr lich character is one of my favorite guys Just don’t die. Say no thanks
The fact that I though Danny was sitting in front of a green screen until the dog walked up and sniffed him I- Truly terrifying. Also didn’t know Danny ever left his room to film videos.
Omg the dog and old man sent me into orbit. Danny was literally talking about switching family members out and then the dog came up and it was too much
Haha playing terrible mobile games is the best! By the way, I think the reason why the Granny game description is so weird is because they are trying to ripoff both the "Granny Mobile Game" and "Hello Neighbor" so they throw in a ton of useless sentences and keywords. Also, after playing hundreds of terrible mobile games and ripoffs and going completely insane, you have to use airplane mode. Its a life saver XD
Danny kicking his feet on the bed while talking about how he was chatting up baseball Louie like a school girl talking about her boyfriend is absolutely hilarious Uhh I’m not one to edit comments but HOLY SHIT 6K LIKES??? 😨
To explain the main floor/first floor thing: The game was probably made by a European or some other part of the world where floors are counted in the same way. I'm swedish and it always annoyed me as a kid that the ground floor wasn't considered the first floor but it makes more sense if you consider that most European languages have different words for "floor" and "floor" with the word for counting levels often implying something's aloft. It's also pretty common for the ground floor to be called something completely different from the rest of the floors. Like, in Swedish "golv" is the thing that you walk on, "våning" is the word for a house's levels. The French equivalents would be "plancher" and "étage", in Italian it's "pavimento" and "piano" and in German it's "Fußboden" and "Stock". However, both French and German have more unique names for the ground floor, "rez-de-chaussée" and "Erdgeschoss" respectively.(iirc you could say Obergeschoss instead of Stock in German though but it's been years since I studied it) Also, basements are very common here and generally houses are built more organically(like on hill or mountain side, in weird grooves etc) than in the US so if you step inside a building you're unfamiliar with you can't always know whether or not you're on the lowest floor; you do know you're on the main/ground floor. Tl;dr it's not just a weird quirk of the game, it's a weird quirk of many different cultures but there is logic behind it!
yeah, was gonna make a comment myself, but you have made such a nice one :) ground floor (like ground level lol) usually signifies that it is on the same level as the surrounding terrain ^^ in polish we also have different word for floor (piętro, podłoga), but the ground floor has it's own special name (parter) too, so i think it's a very european thing to do ^^ in this case, i think british english uses ground floor and then starts with numbers basically, bcs the dictionary probably gave the british english definition when they were translating it
I heard therapy and all I could think was don’t be betterhelp don’t be betterhelp but alas. I see other comments about people’s experiences but from my own time with them, I got scammed twice. What I mean by that is my counselor literally ghosting me and betterhelp not switching me to a new one and also continuing to charge me an obscene amount of money weekly for talking to … no one. I hope that internet personalities start to take these comments and negative experiences with Betterhelp seriously because I know that being mentally ill sucks, but being scammed while also mentally ill is criminal in my mind. Hope that Danny can maybe hear this feedback ❤️
Maria Bamford has a hilarious bit in her latest special where she recounts how she reached out to her Better Help "therapist" only to be called the wrong name and told that "it's hard to deal with the stress of having a baby" (she wasn't pregnant).
I was hoping he wouldn't say Betterhelp either, I literally looked in the description before he said the name of the company cause I got so concerned so quick.
Bro I remember when I signed up for betterhelp and every time I opened up about my depression and trauma they'd try to guilt me out of it💀 "Imagine if your parents heard this, don't you think you're upsetting them with all of this?" "Do you ever think how that'd make your friends and family feel? Having someone in your life with so many issues is probably very stressful" When I called them out on it they got angry with me so I just canceled. No hate to Danny, I don't at all blame him for accepting the sponsor. I just want to warn you guys to be careful when it comes to betterhelp, that shit genuinely messed me up and from what I gathered I'm not the only one.
I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. I’m assuming they had almost no training, that’s what it sounds like, anyway. I hope you found a real therapist who could help you, and that these charlatans didn’t put you off .
I remember the betterhelp controversy from a few years ago and was surprised to see it have a resurgence of sponsorships as of late. Specifically I know that Anthony Padilla does a lot of sponsored videos with them, and so I just assumed they changed their practices and learned from the controversy. A shame to learn that they didn't.
Danny doesn’t understand. Bad Granny is possibly one of the greatest games out there today. By subverting your expectations and making you question your morality in the game. There is no good or bad, and this game makes you confront the grey area. As the player you assume that you, as a protagonist, should be the “good guy.” But this game breaks barriers and shows that there is no true good. Just like in real life. And my grandma beats me as well.
I have played virtual boyfriend simulator after looking at this video and I can tell you that it's only gone downhill. The AI is terrible and only seems to want to talk about your birthday . You tell him it's not your birthday, he says it's his birthday and then keeps talking about his birthday no matter what you send.
It's so nice to see so many Gregs speaking about better help controversy - I was so surprised and thought it was a joke when Danny posted his first video with BH as a sponsor... Don't trust BH they do not in fact have real highly qualified specialists and your personal and medical data is not safe
My mom has worked for better help for a year and it has treated her awfully too. She has been in the field for over 20 years and joined BH to move to a part time job. However, they constantly take over hours outside of work and even make her fill in for other therapists. It's overall a terrible company
Got my therapist through Better Help, licensed in my state no less. We discussed moving off of BetterHelp and I immediately jumped at the chance. She was significanly cheaper than BetterHelp as she ran her own practice on the side, and we had longer sessions. She used to work on a pysch ward in a large hospital in my state. She's been great so far.
a couple years back better help was considered a massive scam and a ton of youtubers apologised for taking their sponsors - apparently enough time has passed for uploaders to start pushing it again
ytber Mickey Atkins had done a wholeee in depth, comprehensive video of why BH is a fucking shit show and she ended up having to take it down bc they sent her a cease and desist. I'm 100% a BH hater for life
Someone whos been a greg for a few yrs now im glad to see the comments correcting danny about better help so nicely and not attacking him! I hope danny addresses this because he may not have been aware but from all the controversies about BH i have seen its safe to say its not the best choice of action. Its indeed a fast way to get a therapist but for the price it charges you i think as a patient u deserve more reliable support
@@tonto77 oh no. that's really shitty I dont think danny can do anything about it in this video because of the contract he would've agreed with but maybe he can say something on his community tab or twitter, instagram etc!! I know he means no harm

Love this family and how people can speak out in a loving way to address concerns about sponsors. It shows this fanbase genuinely cares about not just the consumers, but about the reputation of the content creator without trying to make a scene.
I feel the same way, im so glad people aren’t bashing Danny, because honestly he probably didnt know. Instead its coming from a place of concern and not malice.
im glad people aren't being hateful, but danny really should have known all this about BH. it's been out and widely publicised for a long time. a quick search comes up with multiple articles like "controversy explained" or "therapist explains why they dont like BH" etc
@@lixyororke i didn’t know about BH, and if someone came to me asking to be paid to tell people about this (seemingly) good and well meaning service about helping mental health, i wouldn’t even think about them having some sort of controversy. i don’t see why he would even think about researching them before taking the sponsor, but im sure he just didn’t know and didn’t think that such a seemingly good service would be shit. that doesn’t mean it’s okay to have promoted them but it’s important to see his side. although he might have a contract with them but i hope he has some leg room to speak out about this and hopefully apologize. i’m kinda worried that if he spoke out about this he would be slapped by legal. :/
@@merran3456 except you aren't a youtuber with a huge platform that hundreds of thousands of people look up to. it is basic duty to at least google the company ONCE before promoting them, especially since the service is directly targeted at vulnerable people
Danny, in Europe at least, the "second floor" is called the first floor. And the "first floor" for you, is called the "ground floor". Think of it as the "first floor up" kinda logic. Don't know where this game was made from, but im sure many countries around the world also follow this logic.
This is a common thing in several Asian countries as well. So this app, and probably every other one Danny tries here, were likely produced by either asian and/or European companies that make their livings pumping out as many cheaply made apps as possible, which they then stuff so full of advertisements they often become almost entirely unplayable unless you pay to remove them. Sometimes you can guess what country the game was made in just by the specific grammatical errors made in English, if you have an idea of how their native grammatical structures work.
Honestly my respect for you has shot up like by a million for removing the BetterHelp sponsorship. Also, that man in the park seeing a grown man sitting in a stroller with a bib talking about being a bad mommy probably is very confused and also shoots my respect for you like past a trillion points.
@@maura_edwards I think you mean aren’t, also they charge a ridiculous amount for the *chance* you get to talk to someone that isn’t even qualified. Even then they may schedule it like 1 month out and then just cancel on you.
I know enough people have talked about BH, but I just wanted to share my experience. I hated the fact that they wouldn't let you access your final session unless you paid for the next month. For example, I was on a plan for 4 sessions a month, and they wouldn't allow me to speak to my therapist for a 4th session unless I paid for another 4 sessions for next month. I thought it was incredibly manipulative, because I should get the entire service I paid for regardless of whether I renew or not. I didn't end up taking a 4th session because I didn't gel well with my therapist and didn't want to pay another $200-ish dollars just to say "bye". I've found another therapist from an organisation in India and doing much better but yeah. Beware of Better Help! Regardless, I love Danny and always part of Greg
I don’t think i’ve ever encountered anything like this where you can’t access everything you paid for until you pay for more of it. Thats so so messed up.
I was going to ask if better help wasn't the company that was exposed by a lot of people for being super scummy in their practices. I've recently seen a few creators promoting them and I thought I was misremembering something. It's sad knowing that even after a lot of people talked about their horrible experiences with it, the company still gets promotion

We need to make sure the dude walking his dog at 22:38 only to stumble across Danny dressed as a baby sitting in a stroller talking about familial murder finds a better counseling service than Better Help. My man sounded genuinely horrified.
“Bad Granny” is basically a ratatoing game. It is one of many attempts to steal from this really good, popular horror game called “Granny”. It also tried to steal from “Hello Neighbor”, which wasn’t as highly rated but had a huge advertising campaign. A lot of the worst games in the app store are like that, just cheap attempts to profit off confusion.
Glad how we use "Ratatoing" as the quintessential ripoff, and how it became part of the casual internet vocabulary. As soon as we utter that word, we *precisely* know what to expect from anything that's compared to it.
Major MAJOR respect for Danny to get rid of a sponsor when he found out it was bad. Really appreciate that he didn’t endorse an unhealthy sponsor even though that meant loosing money.
I actually got offered a job as a "chat moderator", but on the interview I found out I would actually be chatting with strangers, pretending to be various virtual girls, asking them to pay so that we could chat more :P
Honestly, Danny going through all the effort to film this at different places to fit the game's overall concept is cool of him. I especially like the one with the boyfriend simulator because it legit feels like we're having a sleepover and talking about our love life like some highschool girls (the lil leg kicking on the bed is a cute plus 🥺🌸💕)
In defense of the "Bad Granny" floor naming, some places name the floors differently. In France the "1st" floor is called "le rez-de-chaussée" or the "ground floor" and the second floor is called the "premier étage" or the "first floor". I'm guessing the game was translated from French or another language that uses a similar naming system for floors. That or its a cultural language difference.
My bad I just wrote this comment myself... it goes "Ground floor" then "first floor" here in England. Although for the most part it's people in the building trade or something connected to building I.e architect etc that would say this because you come across it alot. Alot of people would just call the ground floor the first or bottom floor and the next floor would be the second. Speaking as a plumber it's the same as when people call the "sink" in your bathroom exactly that a "sink" when it's actually a "basin" the "sink Is in your kitchen... However if your not in plumbing or some of the building trade you would just call both a sink
7:51 in England, we call them the ground floor and first floor

Same in the Spanish speaking world! I think mostly the US and Japan do floors without a "0th" floor. (There's probably other countries too but those are the ones I know off the top of my head)
Bad Granny is actually a masterpiece in storytelling. The "player" is the grandma's dementia. Each "item" the player steals represents a memory. It's a vicious cycle: either the player wins or the grandma merely delays the inevitable.
Hey Danny, better help is not good. I’m not blaming you but the therapists on the app will often take the money and ghost you, be unprofessional, share your personal convos and data, be shady af and not actually be licensed. There’s been a lot of reports of therapists being rude/discriminatory and downplaying peoples trauma.
Yeah I had a therapist who was straight up texting while she was listening to me discuss my family trauma about feeling invisible LMAO it was a little funny when I stopped talking and she just kept going “mmm mmhm” as she’s tip tapping away- I called her on it the lady didn’t even deny it I mean come on
So report and sue them? duh? All y'all wanna do is whine when it takes a short amount of time for enough people to file reports of stolen money from false advertising (which btw, false advertising is classified as a misdemeanor). Bitching and virtue-signaling is exactly why betterhelp STILL exists. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Yeah, better help is that one terrible sponsor that no one knows is terrible. Idk why no one seems to talk about how they’re a bad sponsor because they don’t provide proper therapy. I hope that changes.
that's not true at all, all of their therapists are licensed and they DO have trauma therapists, maybe in your state they dont but the app is NOT a scam
i dont get why people are saying they don't have trauma therapists, its up to you as an individual to select one whose bio says they do trauma therapy. you arent stuck with whoever they match you with, you get to select whomever you want
Hey Danny just a heads up, better help has really bad reviews and many of the complains is that the therapist has no availability and it's like talking to an automated message and asking for a refund is a pain in the ass unless you threaten to report them, open path is much better since you actually get a real therapist
So I actually use BetterHelp and it's absolutely saved my life. I video chat my therapist (who is licensed) every week and she's absolutely changed my life. Once, my therapist was away for a month for surgery, I emailed support, and I got a refund within a few hours. I really hate that others have had poor experiences but I'm personally genuinely so grateful for it. Just wanted to share my experience.
@@kyraletsinger7750 Yeah mine messaged once every day, it felt like they were running out the month so I’d have to pay again. If you wanted to program intentional Grammer/spelling mistakes you could use a random number generator to pick a word out of the message, and then run a function to either add extra letters, remove letters, or exchange a correct letter to a different one. @@phillysteak997 They did some really shady things with booking (cancelling appointments without notice, taking money without giving a definitive time to meet) and their therapists aren't qualified
its good that everyone is speaking about better help, but lets try to remember that danny is probably under some sort of contract where he CANT speak out/apologize for the sponsorship just yet, but i bet hes still reading these comments and making notes (also, this vid is so well made omg)
I adore how much Danny puts himself into each movie and video game he interacts with, like the way he criticizes is usually not to point out plot holes or be like 'how does that work in this universe?' he fully immerses into it, that's my favorite thing about him. Like in Marmaduke, his question wasn't 'How did that pit bull lift up the whole convention center?' it was 'How did the pit bull not instantly win after lifting up the convention center?' XD
I'm so glad that Greg is speaking out about Better Help! I would also like Danny to address this, but I think it's important for us to remember that we don't know what his contract with them looks like and maybe he can't without actually getting slapped by legal
Yes this is a good point!! I do believe he shouldn't have taken the sponsor in the first place but having them as a sponsor once is pretty inconsequential + I don't want him to get into legal trouble or be unable to use the sponsor money .... people got bills to pay
If what Danny said it’s true, he’s been using them himself, he probably had a good experience and doesn’t realize the bad experiences, I don’t think people should be upset with him honestly, be more upset with the company lol
I already have a therapist but it’s always so important to look at the comments, I would’ve never known there were scandals about BetterHelp had I not looked at the comments. Think about all of Danny’s fans who don’t look at the comments and just do as he says.. your platform is so important Danny, I wouldn’t associate with anyone who has controversies, and I don’t blame you for not knowing because I didn’t either.. hope you read the comments!
Actually, you should blame him. As a UA-camr of his size and with the platform he has, he should know to do thorough research before accepting a sponsorship, ESPECIALLY if the corporation has had prior public backlash. Maybe he didn’t know or forgot, but that’s not a good enough excuse.
@@lavenderpaint7727 there was such a huge scandal about BH a few years ago, it's surprising that so many creators still support them after that. It's like everyone just forgot about it

I really appreciate how Danny took a video that could have been very boring and all took place in one setting and went above and beyond with it. The thought behind the locations and props and the commitment of going outside in a stroller dressed like that made me enjoy this experience so much more. You can tell a lot of effort went into this one
As a kid who grew up in the early 2000s/2010s, it's funny to see Danny not understand the clear rip-offs these apps are from other popular franchises, the most obvious one being the Talking Horse game ripping off the Talking Tom/Talking Angela games.
Betterhelp is infamous for sharing user data with third parties. It's ambiguous as to how the information used in connecting a user to a therapist on the service is used, and it can be potentially sold or shared to other companies without your permission. Fascinating Horror once advertised Betterhelp as a sponsor, and removed it after learning about all of the controversies. I have tremendous respect for them for doing this, and I honestly think Danny should consider doing the same thing.
@Mario no kidding. But data pertaining to mental/physical health is meant to be more confidential than traditional data for obvious reasons. I doubt it's an official HIPAA violation, but damn does it sound like it comes close.
@@nicripolas816 How? I doubt betterhelp would get more information than your search engines do. I would even argue a search engine gets way more private information.
@@Thesngian And if someone is going to therapy for issues such as paranoia or trust? And the therapist they were supposed to be safe with sells their info? When a therapist is supposed to abide by confidentiality agreements? I really shouldn't have to argue with you.
10/10 comments section. I was rather uncomfortable to see a BetterHelp sponsorship and was pleasantly surprised to scroll down and see so many people speaking up about it. Well done, Greg. Danny, I hope this gets through to you and you choose not to work with BetterHelp in the future. Greg deserves better and BetterHelp doesn't deserve Greg's money.
Either give evidence and information on your claims or shut the fuck up. Therapy should be accessible to all people, and obviously the cheaper stuff is going to be shittier, but it's better than nothing. So unless they've like, idk, advocated for ethnic cleansing or conversion therapy, do not pretend like you're some kind of activist. Virtue-signaling has helped nobody.
Yall lets remember that not everybody was aware of the situation with BetterHelp. I somehow missed this news and I'm sure Danny would never do us like that. As a mexican watching this man cry publicly for saying beaner broke my heart. He's a good guy and knew he fucked up and was genuinely sorry which is more than other youtubers. He's still a human being and just made a mistake. I'm happy to see the amount of gregs being kind to him instead of turning on him. Just remember (on any post i guess) we're all humans and this human just happens to be a bit more public
Yeah, it’s actually pretty hard to look into this company. They censor a lot of online criticism and legally threaten people on UA-cam who speak out against them.
Why is nobody talking about the conversation at 14:19? Kevin: “Where are you from?” Danny: “the moon” Kevin: “That’s so cool! Have you ever been?” Danny: “no”
I get why people were unhappy with the Better Help sponsorship (they should be), but it's a real shame cause this is one of Danny's best and most entertaining videos, it's obvious he worked pretty hard on it. So yeah, great video, Danny, you just need to really inform yourself about the company that's sponsoring you.
ikrr :(( it’s a hard rewatch due to all the like- minded Gregs warning each other (which is a good thing). I wish he did a bit more research abt the sponsor Unrelated but : rip technoblade
I agree with this but honestly it would be hard to be aware of better helps horrible experiences if you just search it up. It has a rating of 4.8 on the app store and so far the online “reviews” are mostly all positive. You would have to search it up on twitter or apps like that to see folks experiences. I honestly had no idea that this app was so bad, it’s a therapy app that gives you trauma, insane.
Fun fact: The house from Have Fun With Angry Granny is actually a stolen model from another bad iPhone Game, which is a ripoff of another game in itself.
EDIT: Danny, I'm so happy that you listened to us and removed the BH ad. It is always important to give someone the benefit of the doubt, and you are deserving of that because I know you have never had any intentions to hurt anyone. Have a great day, Danny 👍 It seems that Betterhelp recently had a resurgance of sorts for sponsored content among UA-camrs because Danny's not the first one I've seen recently advertising them. I won't repeat what others have said about Betterhelp, but I do wonder why would they think they can get away with their shitty business model now, a few years after they got exposed for their lack of integrity? (No regards towards personal information security despite being a service for mental health, for one) In no way shape or form am I blaming Danny. Just baffled at Betterhelp because they have the audacity to try to bounce back without changing ANYTHING of what they were criticised for previously. Edit: I saw a comment below that some of the "negative" comments about BH may be from bots, and I just want to say, 1) I've been a Greg for a while now, I only find the need to comment now because of this issue, and 2) just because you see some comments that are similar doesn't mean they are bots or copied from each other. Let the ones who criticise BH do so. They have every right to, especially since most of them are actual experiences they had faced while using BH's services once. Invalidating them as if this is some scheme to "bully" a multi-million dollar business is so... strange. Although bots do exist and they just say whatever to get attention, that still doesn't invalidate the criticisms from the very real people.
I was even more baffled when 2 weeks ago I was in my car and a Betterhelp Ad played ON THE RADIO. Like, a real ad voiced by the owner of the company. Not what I was expecting at like 10 in the morning listening to a very popular radio station.
He started talking about it and somewhere in the back of my mind I was just like “didn’t something happen with better help like didn’t we find out they suck what’s going on” and the comments seem to have confirmed it for me
It _is_ the person taking the sponsorship's responsibility to ensure that validity of the company, and page 1 of google lays out that there a very real problems with the company.
Everything is weird about BetterHelp. They had a controversy but came back rather quickly, so they must have incentivized or convinced the UA-camrs that take them as sponsors that they are legit in some way. It's also weird that there are bots repeating the same messages that BetterHelp is bad. Some are like the ones that start out as "Vouch for other Gregs speaking out against Better Help. They are without the careful legal restrictions of an actual registered therapist and can therefore share your information (not bound by medical privacy)...." I feel like there are two big forces on either side trying to advertise it or destroy it again. So weird.
I fact-checked the whole capitol of Maine thing saying its lake champlain, and I came to find out that it's Augusta. Your virtual boyfriend lied to you Danny.
I think it’s pretty obvious that these videos are planned and scripted. I think he likely downloaded a variety of games for research and then picked the worst/silliest ones but “pretended” like he was starting it over from the beginning and experiencing it for the first time. I’m sorry to have to break this to you but these videos aren’t exactly improv 😂
@@maddieb.4282 It also could have been filmed after he played the game and he forgot to film that part... You're not to be considered as Greg because you can't think critically...
Bad Granny is actually a deep analysis of the decay of a lonely elderly woman's mind, as well as how the opportunistic nature of those around her, stealing instead of providing support, causes her to turn violent. My theory is that Bob is actually her grandchild, and realizing the fact that his granny is senile, begins stealing her personal possessions. This symbolizes the pettiness of family members squabbling for inheritance. She them turns to the wall, defeated, and runs. This symbolizes her desire to run back to her youth, her health, her long dead family and friends. But this is futile. She is stuck in this reality of loneliness, where the only way she can protect her home is to turn to murder. Give your granny a call sometime.
That motherhood game is too real. Sometimes you do reach the level where you can’t do anything…no objectives…no controls…just standing and staring into the void. Anyway. Great video!
I love the fact that he didn’t do the mommy but in his back yard, he took everything to a public park, sat on a stroller, put on a bib, and set up his equipment and went with it. Super awesome.
Get your money, but everyone here should know that Better Help's user agreement circumvents your HIPPA rights, does not guarantee your privacy, will share your medications, medical history, and app usage as they see fit. They also restrict therapist's ability to interact (with things like word count limits for chats), and don't pay them a fair wage. Especially as we teeter on the right to medical privacy, be careful out there.
betterhelp doesnt deal with medications though? thats psychiatrists, not therapists, therapists don't even have training about medications. the only PHI transmitted is therapy notes

For anyone wondering, the main floor/second floor thing is a Spanish thing, in many Spanish speaking countries they say la planta baja to mean the main floor(first floor) and say el primer piso to mean the second floor, this was probably just translated from Spanish to English and the devs just didn’t know in English things were different.

To explain the main floor/first floor thing:
The game was probably made by a European or some other part of the world where floors are counted in the same way.
However, both French and German have more unique names for the ground floor, "rez-de-chaussée" and "Erdgeschoss" respectively.(iirc you could say Obergeschoss instead of Stock in German though but it's been years since I studied it)
Also, basements are very common here and generally houses are built more organically(like on hill or mountain side, in weird grooves etc) than in the US so if you step inside a building you're unfamiliar with you can't always know whether or not you're on the lowest floor; you do know you're on the main/ground floor.
Tl;dr it's not just a weird quirk of the game, it's a weird quirk of many different cultures but there is logic behind it!
omg thank you!!! this is such an interesting linguistic factoid; i never would’ve realized the reasoning
next vid better feature a "dumb American" joke or ima riot
In danish standing floor is gulv, and 1st floor 2nd floor etc. is etage.
Wow, how many languages do you speak?
yeah, was gonna make a comment myself, but you have made such a nice one :)
ground floor (like ground level lol) usually signifies that it is on the same level as the surrounding terrain ^^
in polish we also have different word for floor (piętro, podłoga), but the ground floor has it's own special name (parter) too, so i think it's a very european thing to do ^^
in this case, i think british english uses ground floor and then starts with numbers basically, bcs the dictionary probably gave the british english definition when they were translating it

Unless the game needs internet access but yea it usually works
Danny, in Europe at least, the "second floor" is called the first floor. And the "first floor" for you, is called the "ground floor". Think of it as the "first floor up" kinda logic. Don't know where this game was made from, but im sure many countries around the world also follow this logic.
The use of "main floor" instead of "ground floor" sounds like a weird translation made by a non-English-speaking European developer I'd reckon.
It's a thing in India as well! We call it Ground Floor > First Floor > etc.
i never realised that it was different in other countries so whenever i’m in hotel elevators i get so confused 💀
We also rob old ladies in Europe a lot so the game makes perfect sense

It's also the same for Australia, England and most of the commonwealth
Can confirm its the same in germany uwu
It's a European thing. Ground floor and then what Americans call the second floor, we call the first Really threw me the first time I went to NY
However if your not in plumbing or some of the building trade you would just call both a sink
in portuguese we use the same naming the first floor is the "térreo" and the second floor being the "primeiro andar"

Yeah, no, didn't know it was a controversial company until I read the comments, so I don't blame Danny for not knowing about the trouble with it.
I don’t think anyone is mad at him for it, we are just trying to warn him/let him know.
Yeah, it’s actually pretty hard to look into this company. They censor a lot of online criticism and legally threaten people on UA-cam who speak out against them.
No one’s mad, they’re just educating him. I’d rather be educated than continue to be ignorant due to people’s fears of being too mean
At the same time though, he should have done a better job of vetting them before just taking money from such a harmful company.
Why is nobody talking about the conversation at 14:19?
Kevin: “Where are you from?”
Danny: “the moon”
Kevin: “That’s so cool! Have you ever been?”
Danny: “no”
LMAO 😭
Lol
I get why people were unhappy with the Better Help sponsorship (they should be), but it's a real shame cause this is one of Danny's best and most entertaining videos, it's obvious he worked pretty hard on it. So yeah, great video, Danny, you just need to really inform yourself about the company that's sponsoring you.
ikrr :(( it’s a hard rewatch due to all the like- minded Gregs warning each other (which is a good thing). I wish he did a bit more research abt the sponsor
Unrelated but : rip technoblade
I agree with this but honestly it would be hard to be aware of better helps horrible experiences if you just search it up. It has a rating of 4.8 on the app store and so far the online “reviews” are mostly all positive. You would have to search it up on twitter or apps like that to see folks experiences.
I honestly had no idea that this app was so bad, it’s a therapy app that gives you trauma, insane.
@@justgonnacomment o7 all the way. Thought I would watch a good old fashioned Danny video to distract me from it...
Nah. If a therapist doesn’t work for you, then that’s fine. No need to put Danny on blast.
I've seen a few sponsorships but I didn't know either tbh
Fun fact: The house from Have Fun With Angry Granny is actually a stolen model from another bad iPhone Game, which is a ripoff of another game in itself.
EDIT: Danny, I'm so happy that you listened to us and removed the BH ad. It is always important to give someone the benefit of the doubt, and you are deserving of that because I know you have never had any intentions to hurt anyone. Have a great day, Danny 👍
It seems that Betterhelp recently had a resurgance of sorts for sponsored content among UA-camrs because Danny's not the first one I've seen recently advertising them.
I won't repeat what others have said about Betterhelp, but I do wonder why would they think they can get away with their shitty business model now, a few years after they got exposed for their lack of integrity? (No regards towards personal information security despite being a service for mental health, for one)
In no way shape or form am I blaming Danny.
So weird.
@@antoinette... I'm pretty sure that those bots just more or less copy whatever comment has a lot of engagement, at least I think they do
I fact-checked the whole capitol of Maine thing saying its lake champlain, and I came to find out that it's Augusta. Your virtual boyfriend lied to you Danny.
I’ve been looking for this comment, lake Champlain isn’t even in Maine
I doubt even the citizens of Maine care dude. And I don't mean the AI being wrong, I mean what's the capital of Maine
@@Illlium hey man, I went straight to the comments. I care. I trusted baseball Louie and he lied to me.
As a Mainer, yeah, nobody cares about Augusta.
@@Jake_the_Bioengineer Yeah I really wanna visit Maine but Augusta isn’t really on my itinerary
The most disturbing part of the boyfriend app is that… Lake Champlain isn’t even the capital. Augusta is
It’s not even the name of a town. It’s literally just a lake.
Also it’s not in Maine.

@@maddieb.4282 i know its not exactly improv and ik videos do that, i still find it funny, chill
But hey that just a theory, A game theory!!.
She’s dead
Damn😳

she should use better help
That motherhood game is too real. Sometimes you do reach the level where you can’t do anything…no objectives…no controls…just standing and staring into the void. Anyway. Great video!

I love how now danny just has a recording of him talking to a horse on his phone saying “I killed jfk”
@@TheElusiveReality they literally ask you about medications on intake. Most therapists do
This is no longer an issue as of 2022 upon some research. They have improved greatly, but definitely still have some issues.

I love seeing all the comments about better help. I love how no one is mad at Danny while also pointing out his mistake. From what I've seen Better Help kinda sucks and I remember there was a huge thing about their business practices a few years back.
I think more people should turn their nightmares into app games for everyone to share.
Agreed
For anyone wondering, the main floor/second floor thing is a Spanish thing, in many Spanish speaking countries they say la planta baja to mean the main floor(first floor) and say el primer piso to mean the second floor, this was probably just translated from Spanish to English and the devs just didn’t know in English things were different.
Not just a Spanish speaking thing, many countries have it outside US... I am from Denmark and we also have main floor and first floor :)
Imagine walking to a park and seeing no one but a man wearing a bib, talking about mobile games to a camera.
