First time I had them was off a truck outside CBX in San Diego. I’d just walked across the border from the Tijuana airport. I was hankering for some “American food”, but I saw someone else get their order and it looked so good I had to order it. Calimex > Texmex
1. You can’t get it anymore because of the mad cow disease scare, but tacos de sesos are the bomb. That’s my favorite. 2. Tacos with non-standard meat. Goat, sheep, ducks, cheeks, tongue. 3. A good arrachera steak. 4. Chile rellenos made with bigger jalapeño chiles. There’s a lady that sells them outside of the tortilleria. 5. Pozole. Best hangover cure. 6. Rajas con crema. 7. Chilaquiles with chicharrón and a couple fried eggs. 8. The gorditas that the gordita lady sells across the street from my apartment. I probably eat her food the most. 9. Mariscos. 10. A “garbage burrito” from Mijares, circa 1975. But since they’re no longer a thing, any Mission burrito from the taquerias in the Outer Mission. Take BART to 24th Street and walk into the first taqueria you see.
I ALWAYS get cheese enchiladas the first time I go to a new Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurant. If they can get those right, then I’ll come back and try something else next time. If you fuck up cheese enchiladas, the rest of your food is probably not very good either.
Imagine that this first ever food video is a start of many future food videos, outshining his military videos With that being said How about top 5 American food
I’ve eaten something similar called a volcán, but it’s served in s stone grinding bowl (metate) instead of a skillet. I think of it as “Mexican Fajitas”.
Birria or barbacoa. On Sundays this family sets up a cart on the corner about a block from me and sells the tastiest, fattest, greasiest sheep I’ve ever et. They don’t skimp on the tacos. Two or three does it. And then I take home a liter of the consommé.
Solid takes, but let's not ignore the king: tortas. Fun fact, tortas came about because Porfirio Diaz was an asshole and said people couldn't have corn (and thus tortillas) anymore. Mexicans said bet and started just putting taco fillings in bread rolls. Flour tortillas also came about because of that, so that's cool, too.
that ain't true, tortillas de harina are a staple of northern mexico because of the highest percentage of european descent and wheat consumption, tortas are a thing because with the french intervention ,french and belgian soldiers settled down and started baking french style bread and porfirio diaz was B A S E D
barbacoa, borracho (charro) beans (must have bacon, jalapeño, and beer), quesadillas, corn in a cup. You don't know GOAT until you have a simple flour tortilla covered with butter and salt, the secret menu item. feel compelled to say I'm the Texas Mexican, not the cali.
enchiladas is my go to at Mexican/Tex-mex restaurant , its a classic meal with rice and beans, smoother it in Chile con queso, that's how we do it TEXAS!!
Chief, I realize now I was wrong in my brazen and rash insult to you for not having “The Cookie” national guard unit patch part 3 video. Accept my sincerest apologies
If you didn't already know this, a court in Indiana had to settle a dispute between the government and a business owner recently, and to settle it the judge ruled that tacos and burritos are in fact "Mexican style sandwiches" Do with that info what you will
Carne Asada isn't that different from Fajita! I prefer fajita for more protein options. But, you can make most other menu items with either. Refried beans & crap rice are "mexican fiod" staples. The vegetables in fajitas are disposable/(unnecessary)
"Fried Meat Flute" sounds like a pain worse than death

I ALWAYS get cheese enchiladas the first time I go to a new Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurant.
If they can get those right, then I’ll come back and try something else next time.

I usually go for a pork or carne asada chimichanga or enchilada. It's just delicious.
Honestly, it'd be easier to list the dishes I don't care for. Which is pretty much just tamales. They're just ok to me.
I’m so full of the “Mega Maximo Border Hopper Ass Blaster,” yum.

The vegetables in fajitas are disposable/(unnecessary)
The veggies in fajitas are for filler & heat distribution. They also spritz lemon(lime) as it's heading to the table for Sizzle Presentation!
