Seeing the other side of Papa Dar doing what he does when he ain;t stealing comfort on the soft seat in Paul's shop is always a moment not to be missed. The fact that the community around that area is so tight knit, makes wanting to move there more inticing. As you said in the vid, everybody knows everybody, and everyone helps when needed is so rare these days..Full respect to all who assisted in the recovery, and thanks to all for capturing a story to be told for years to come.
Having done contract work for a wrecker company scuba diving to hook up to rigs this takes me back years and if I start to tell some stories they look in disbelief. It was one of the good thins in my life. Young and invincible times.
Papa Dar to the rescue of this semi truck and trailer swimming in a pond! Heck Yeah Adventures with Ben helping bring this ordeal to life. Those silo rentals are so pretty and lot's of love put into them by true artists. Good video and awesome people involved in the making!
I was headed to SoCal from Bryce Canyon and passed by this right before they started pulling it out. Thanks for posting the video so we could watch the recovery.
Heck Yeah, everyone Outstanding Content, and Thanx for Sharing this Great video with us, Outstanding TEAM WORK that, PAPA DARR is a Awesome 👌 And the Silo Look Great 👍 Really Appreciate your Time Have a Great Day 👍 God Bless 🇺🇸 you And your Family and friends 🙏
Having Dar on a video can't be anything but good. He's pretty knowledgeable on doing jobs like this. The silo homes is quite an innovation. Must be hard to tell a kid to stand in a corner. lol Good video !
Wow ! what a video and one of the best ive seen on here and those Silo cabins are amazing and have to say Papa Dar reminds me of my long past dad as he is a real go getter 👍
Well, Papa Dar can't stretch the truth in retelling this story because to many people saw what happened. Awesome 'TRUE STORY' and it looks like everyone really did pull together on this one! Also despite the seriousness of the situation, everyone had fun, and no one was injured. Thanks for the show!
Now that’s an OFF ROAD recovery. Holy cow. I was in your neck of the woods last fall with my son. All I can think is how I want to come back... pretty country everywhere Maybe we will stay in a silo next time. I guarantee it would beat the pants off the motel in a Panguitch!
Hi Ben I live in the uk and I was a wrecker and recovery driver and I watch alot of UA-cam videos and this is the most epic recovery I've ever seen, thank you for getting everyone together in the making of this it is some of the best footage I've watched in a very long time, as for Papa Dar he's alway's there to give a big helping hand to everyone Heck Yeah, was the truck driver frightened about gaters or snake in the pond?? but this was fantastic to watch and you made me laugh and if i get to the USA I'll be looking for somewhere to stay thank to everyone in the making of this video thank's Ben.
It is so fun to watch these videos, my wife Brenda grew up in Kanab. She worked a Houstons, on a road crew one summer while in high school, she played on the high school basketball team under coach Kelly, and her dad Duane was still the custodian at the elementary school.
Always good to see Papa Dar. Was so nice to see everyone come together and help the Speeding truck driver get out of the pond 😂 maybe he will slow down when coming to corners now 😂
Great video!! Can't beat Papa Dar for some good stories!! The poor guy in the semi wasn't about to get out and swim! Can't say I blame him if he can't swim... that would be pretty terrifying. You all came to the rescue and got the truck out of the pond safely!! NICE JOB!!!
Loved the video Ben. Keep it up. I bet that was the most embarrassing and scariest moment of that driver’s life, and you all made him feel like part of your family.
Ok loved this episode I remember years ago seeing something about the silos on Fab Rats. PLEASE GET YOUR WHOLE FAMILY TOGETHER so those of us that follow you, Paul and Michelle, Ben, Shaun can be explained. Please keep doing what you’re doing love the channel and of course Papa Dar.
Great video. Pappa Dar really shined in this one. I've seen Jeremy and Betty's home on another video by Merlin, Paul or someone else. It is amazing. Thank you Ben.
Very nice video. I know where we can stay for a few days on our trip through the USA in UTAH. I like the silos, a wonderful idea, but a lot of work goes into them. Greetings from Frankfurt.
20:20 camera man has an idea, the other man just simply assesses the idea, tests it, and acknowledges the idea. A Lot of people would be stubborn and say "naaaaahhhh.. woud'n work" 👍👍
I think Paul mentioned that Papa Dar grew up and was friends with all the Dads - Paul, Ben, Merlin, Sean, Ben and any other kids that haven't been mentioned.
You guys just inspired my next summer road trip. Heading to hurricane UT from ID. Then spend a night in Glendale at the silo's. Then on to Moab. Lastly I have a Aunt in Spring City. Gonna be a UA-cam trip lol. Matt's, fabrats, trailmater, and Robbie Layton awesome. Thanks for the idea on the silo's. Heck yeah!
Good folks helping that driver in need. you all are good people. I just love what you did with the silos. I know also papa Dar also has a camp ground you can stay at, and i think you can stay at fab rats property next to the gift dhop, and grandma lolly will make you breakfast.😂
Now that’s a unique recovery, I saw that damage rolling into Glendale Friday. We knew something went into the pond. Fun to see the footage and method of recovery
Where I live is like a small town. Taylorstown Loudoun county, Virginia, where we all known each other's. What's so needs help we're there to help. Good job help that trucker❤
This was a really great video! It was very well put together and enjoyable to watch.❤ and the video that was shot of the actual recovery was done very professionally! Kudos👍
Papa Dar needs his own set of Yankum ropes. The biggest ones they offer or make, same with the towing company and all the software shackles. Imagine the advertising Yankum after this recovery with broken chains.
You know what we cool is they construct a large boulder pile and a large concrete barrier like they use on freeway between the two that should stop any big truck 🚚.
Hey, I know who engineered those silo's, he's a really good man that actually saved his entire family when their home caught on fire, getting very badly burned while doing it. He would be a wonderful interview for you. He also has a really cool place with some really awesome greenhouse projects going on. @Heck Yeah Adventures.
But the truck and trailer was in a pond . The water was deep enough to cover higher than the tires and trailer frame . You watch the video , when it's pulled out of the water the trailer tires are sliding not rotating . PaPa Dar says in the video , they hooked an air tank to the trailer's glad hand to release the trailer brakes . But they couldn't do anything about the truck's brakes because it wouldn't run .
What are those Silo's like Airbnb or something? that place is awesome and love the ceiling of all the old Barn wood. I use to tear old barns down for the wood and all the hand hewn beams and would get good money for the wood we use to go all over tearing down them barns.
So how is pap dar related? Just trying to put all the pieces together, You are Michelles from fab rats brother?? So the couple you interviewed is your sister and brother in law, What a crazy adventure. Awesome to see more of pap dar, I knew he drove trucks from one of your previous videos but I didn't know he played with my favourite oversized tonka toys. From New Zealand
Im Michelle’s brother , the family that owns the pond is also another sister Ramona. Ramonas husband Nate is Jeremy’s brother , I’m good friends with Jeremy and Betty ;) hopefully that ties it all together! Small town fun
we all like a good story and this is one that will last for generations. REMEMBER WHEN THAT 18 WHEELER CAME DOWN THAT HILL AND WENT INTO THAT POND ? Ya I remember gramps talking about that ... oh the stories from the pond !
Yankum ropes needs to hook Papa Dar up with some ropes . Come on Alan here's another chance . At least this was pulled out with out the helicopter bunch with the LA filming crew .😊😊
Thank you Ben! 🤠

Papa Dar, da man! Loved the signage on the Bull dozer, "FEAR THIS". Thanks for the story and all the insights.
Having done contract work for a wrecker company scuba diving to hook up to rigs this takes me back years and if I start to tell some stories they look in disbelief. It was one of the good thins in my life. Young and invincible times.
But did that rig then get a fine for smuggling quagga mussels?
Thank you, Heck Ya Adventures! What an awesome story. The silo rental properties are very sweet looking accommodations. 😊
Love that you got Papa Dar on some much miss that guy!!
Papa Dar to the rescue of this semi truck and trailer swimming in a pond! Heck Yeah Adventures with Ben helping bring this ordeal to life. Those silo rentals are so pretty and lot's of love put into them by true artists. Good video and awesome people involved in the making!

Matts recovery rope? Kidding, that's amazing you guys got the rig out of the pond. Papa Dar is an OG
They do make big recovery ropes for huge fram equipment and semis. That would have been perfect. Heck out yakums site to see the huge ropes.
I was thinking yankum ropes would of been sweet , leave the middle man out & go straight to alan .
Well, Papa Dar can't stretch the truth in retelling this story because to many people saw what happened. Awesome 'TRUE STORY' and it looks like everyone really did pull together on this one! @@HeckYeahBen - Well, yeah, but she's biased.
Absolutely amazing. Good job guys.
I have all ways liked when Papa Dar is in a video. He should start his own UA-cam channel
Great video work. Good people helping someone in need. Thank you for capturing this experience.
Great video. Pappa Dar really shined in this one. I've seen Jeremy and Betty's home on another video by Merlin, Paul or someone else. It is amazing. Thank you Ben.
Dar has all the cool stuff. Makes sense.
Did the guy get a T-shirt? "We'll get him out". I'm always amazed at the power of a dozer!!! Great job everyone on this one.
Glad no one was injured.
Hey Mister,you can't park there.". 😂
Must be nice having friends with heavy equipment!
Nice to see Papa Dar, last time we saw him, he was building a new runway.
That was a great parking job!

Like to know the story on how Papa Dar is related to Fab Rats...
Nice addition to the fab rats family
Me too, I figured he was either Paul's or Michelle's dad, but that's not the case.
Not related as far as I know. He's just a good friend.
I think Paul mentioned that Papa Dar grew up and was friends with all the Dads - Paul, Ben, Merlin, Sean, Ben and any other kids that haven't been mentioned.
Michelle worked for Papa Dar at his campground when she was a teenager.
Fascinating recovery!
Enjoyed the house tour too.
WOW!!! Thank you - this is my first view of your channel - AND WHAT an introduction!!! Will share this channel! AMAZING RECOVERY and COMMUNITY FAMILY!
You guys just inspired my next summer road trip. Heading to hurricane UT from ID. Then spend a night in Glendale at the silo's. Then on to Moab. Lastly I have a Aunt in Spring City. When Rosco decides to give truck driving a try 😂😂
Good folks helping that driver in need. you all are good people. I just love what you did with the silos. I know also papa Dar also has a camp ground you can stay at, and i think you can stay at fab rats property next to the gift dhop, and grandma lolly will make you breakfast.😂
Did they put up a No Parking sign
Now that’s a unique recovery, I saw that damage rolling into Glendale Friday. We knew something went into the pond. Fun to see the footage and method of recovery
Great recovery but I really need to plan a vacation out there and I couldnt pick a nicer place to stay but in one of those silo's
Well that ain’t how you sposed to do it there drriiver!
How long did it skim the water before it went down? 😂
good job people
A semi-cleared path to the pond. I like how she did that.
I caught that one too. Made me smile... 🙂She should have added "no 'pond' intendent" 😜
that the same spot where Fabrats recovered that Digger a few months back i hope no more bad things happen but great video to
Where I live is like a small town. Taylorstown Loudoun county, Virginia, where we all known each other's. What's so needs help we're there to help. Good job help that trucker❤

Very Cool!
This was a really great video! It was very well put together and enjoyable to watch.❤ and the video that was shot of the actual recovery was done very professionally! Kudos👍
Love the video
Pelle from sweden
Great video. The insurance company should pay to have the pond dredged and let it refill. Who knows what contaminates are now in the water.
Awesome
If that had happened in Colorado there would have been more environmental inspectors than workers.
Papa Dar needs his own set of Yankum ropes. The biggest ones they offer or make, same with the towing company and all the software shackles. Imagine the advertising Yankum after this recovery with broken chains.
Somebody send Papa Dar some heavy duty straps!
That was so cool guys
You know what we cool is they construct a large boulder pile and a large concrete barrier like they use on freeway between the two that should stop any big truck 🚚.

Those dang G.P.S.s. Did anyone tell the driver You Can't Park There!!! Or was he taken a nap at full throttle??? Great content guys thanks.
Gonna be a Freightliner on Facebook marketplace in "used" condition!
Freshly washed 😂
