Subbed. Had me at "its showtime" lol!
Hahaha thanks.
Nice job Ken! Thanks for sharing. Hopefully some day I can join in the fun and get one. That tool bin looked perfect.
Thanks 👍
OK Ken, I'm going to need that pen experiment sooner rather than later! That pattern looked awesome!
I'm working on a video now. Will be a few weeks though.
Thanks for sharing. Still not totally convinced I need one just yet but always good to see what's out there
I'm not sure it's about the need to have one, but the desire. lol.
Nice costume, thanks for the tutorial ❤
No problem 😊
I enjoy watching these product testings! You make them look so easy to set up; I doubt I could do as well. One day, I may get one!
You would be surprised. They are really easy to assemble and use.
Had me at Beetlejuice lol….. awesome lol
Haha, thanks Chris.
Howdy, Ken! I've seen you comment on some of my videos but didn't know you had your own channel. And what a channel it is! I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Mine just arrived and I'm unboxing it, now. Having just watched this video, I feel like I want to copy everything you printed out here. My problem is, I know what these things do but that's it. Never used one, never seen one in person, don't know how to use it and don't know how to use the software! I know there are lots of places on the internet to download things to print but don't know much about that, either! LOL! Wondering if they picked the right guy to send this to but, I'll give it a try! Anyway, just wanted to say howdy and thanks for this video! 👍
Phil
Hey Phil. Great to see you here. thingiverse.com is a great resource for 3d printers. From there you can find other sites for sure. Cura software is free and pretty easy to use. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me on FB or email at moonpiecreations2014@gmail.com. I can help you change the retraction settings. There is a slight learning curve, but not to bad. The hardest part is leveling the bed. Again great to see you.
cool
Thanks
Nice brother
Thanks
Good review. Were you printing with PLA or ABS? Does it come with a heated bed?
I used PLA and it does have a heated bed. The cool part about the bed was that the magnetic bed piece is replaceable for fairly cheap.
Leigh Ann sure makes a cute Lydia! Did you print up any Beetlejuice props for your costumes with this new printer?
She does at that. Nope no props .
Out of curiosity, do you have a resin 3D printer as well? Just trying to decide if my first foray should be with filament or with resin. Hope you won the contest! Loved the costume!
Yes I do! Here is my review on it in case you are interested. I found they have almost totally different applications and not all filament projects will work for the resin printer and vise versa.
Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
It's Show Time!!!!!
I could not get the LK4 X profile to load up in Cura 5.2 using Longers outdated instructions. Do you have any suggestions?
Hey Tim, I went by the video and it installed fine. I copied the resources file here drive.google.com/file/d/1VDaifzEMPeWE9hqGJ3G22aBLGmS-BTL-/view into the new Ultimaker Cura file which is in your programs file. Once you paste the file in there all you do is add a non network printer, scroll down to Longer and choose LK4 Pro. Once you add it the setting page comes up. You need to change the Start G-code file with the one in this file. drive.google.com/drive/folders/14P_7QplU-aEYnl5n4fC5q9PF7jZD1qpD?usp=sharing
Then change the settings on the right side to the same ones in the jpeg in that same file. Let me know if it does or doesn't work. I just reinstalled it on my other computer, but do not have time to test it. I hope this helps.
@@MoonpieCreations yes, I had no problem with the file because it's on the microSD. Just the resources folder location is not in the same place as in the 4.8. I did find the resources folder after scouring the Internet for more information but even after merging this file with the resources, it still was not showing up in the list in Cura. After I posted my question, I found another UA-cam video where a guy picked the LK4 pro profile, and then added the start code. This sounds very familiar with what you were suggesting, but for a newbie this was a waste of four hours, trying to do something that should be simple and longer should be addressing.
@@MoonpieCreations I am running Mac Ventura 0S as well so there seems to be a lot of programs that are having trouble with compatibility in this new OS
@@timp2433 they told my last night they are working on the updated file and should be done soon. But the basic settings for the lk4 Pro will work. But in my experience you have to change the extraction information
@@MoonpieCreations that's great to hear. I will check out those settings and compare them with what you provided. Thank you for your help. The Longer support that I was emailing last night was no help whatsoever and seemed to not be aware that there was any issues.
You must be feeling awfully proficient at putting together 3D printer, darn near verging on being a professional at it. Thanks for sharing your info ~Smile oN
Haha, But I only have one. I feel like I should have at least 5 bahahaha
Oh geez, so not only proficient in erecting 3D printers proficient as well in deconstructing 3D printers. Is a deconstructed 3D printer just a printer?
You should have won
Lol, thanks. It's all about who goes with you. Friends need to cheer and we brought the wrong people.
