I wanted to brighten my speedometer for years but afraid I'd have to spend hours tearing apart the dash to replace the bulbs. After viewing your video I tackled the project. I wish I knew before how easy it would be. Knowledge is power. It was helpful to loosen up the speedometer cable before removal of the instrument panel. Thank you!
Awesome man! Glad this video helped you out!!! And yeah the speedometer is the most tricky part. I always would try to cram my hand back there before I discovered it was way easier to take a little more time and just loosen the thing up. 😂😅
Hahaha the previous owner of my truck did it. He popped out the spot in the dash where the cruise control switch would be and then wedged a few rocker switches together. fits really well. Here's the switches or you can find the multi colors at the auto parts stores like orileys. www.amazon.com/TWTADE-Illuminated-Position-Assurance-Years%EF%BC%89XW-604BA1/dp/B07HHV2PD4/ref=mp_s_a_1_39_sspa?crid=1EYB6VJTV8XB8&keywords=12v+rocker+switch&qid=1667728674&sprefix=12v+rocker+sw%2Caps%2C513&sr=8-39-spons&psc=1
Good video! I recently changed my gauge lights to red as well. Quick question though: the gas light that turns on when you have low fuel for some reason stays on and won't turn off even with a full tank and that didn't happen before I switched the lights.. Anyone have any idea why?
@@LuciusArchangel I'm guessing the gas light works off resistance from the sending unit. LEDs have little resistance so you might have to replace that one with a conventional bulb for it to work properly.
Lo hice en mi carro pero no me quedó lo suficientemente brillante como lo deseaba. Será que me puedes hacer el gran favor de mandarme las características de los focos led. Gracias.

Yes there is It's the fuse labeled as "TAIL" in the fuse box under the dash. If that's good you most likely want to look into the tail light relay or the rheostat for the dimmer.
